6.30am on the day that someone is arriving only to wake up finding some random stranger in your yard does not cut the mustard. How about an sms when you book the person in? That would make sense. Other companies can do it….it’s not hard, the technology exists, so do it. I almost feel like a prisoner to this company as a result of the absence of communication. When I raise an issue I’m made to feel like a fool. The issues that I raise are mainly to do with heights of items and proximity to fences to ensure compliance with the law regarding pool fences….a fairly reasonable question I would have thought. Yet I’m treated like an idiot. Next to impossible to speak to anyone when you do have a question. Then I’m told they do 300 pools on the Gold Coast every year, which is why they can’t communicate with me because it’s just too damn hard……so that makes me feel like I’m a number, rather than a valued customer who has paid a lot of money to go through this process. I rang to speak to the operations manager two days ago and he wasn’t available so I left a message about how unhappy I am. No call back. You would have thought a call about someone being really unhappy would have prompted a call but….apparently not. Clearly, care factor zero. I actually don’t even want the pool any more, it’s been far more stressful than it is worth. Do yourself a favour and run as far from them as you possibly can. You seriously will regret going with them. I do. My pool is not finished. I’m not looking forward to the next couple of months. Unfortunately I have no choice but to proceed with these fools. I’m happy to change this review if they’re willing to work with me - which means communication is key - but at the moment, I can’t see that happening.

Zero care, terrible communication, unprofessional – This company was recommended to us by a neighbour. appear to know how to lay coping tiles and ruined a number of them. We are still waiting for the pool to be finished and be given even a vague indication of when the interior will be sprayed ready for water. I am honestly stunned that a company thinks this kind of customer service is acceptable.

Renovation of existing Pool – From start to finish Sundollar Pools did an amazing job preparing our pool for renovation and completion. . Service was outstanding. I would highly recommend them. So happy with the end result.

Love our pool – We absolutely love our pool , we cannot recommend Sundollar Pools enough, prompt, professional and superb workmanship. Finished just in time for Summer they were always available to answer any of our questions.

Great pool and excellent post build support – Built a 8m x 4m pool in Ashmore in late 2017 with Richard & the Team at Sundollar. I'm so happy with my pool! – I received excellent advice from Richard the owner as I have a very small yard and it was difficult for me to foresee the exact specifications for the pool. There were a couple of small hiccoughs along the way but I am extremely happy with the end result. They kept coming back until every small detail was to my satisfaction. I would happily recommend them as your choice of pool builder.

Fast Service – These guys are really quick to get to you. It doesn't matter who gets in their way on the motorway, they'll just cut them off and keep on going. Even if it's just a learner on a motorbike who might crash and burn - no problem for the guys at Sundollar! Call them now! Turn on your radio and listen for the traffic report - if there's carnage, they're on their way!

Amazing outcome! – We had our pool finished just before Christmas, very luckily! All the way throughout the whole process the team at Sundollar we're always keeping us up to date, letting us know what was happening next. We couldn't fault their brilliant service, we have a beautiful sparkling pool that we can't get the kids out of! Couldn't thank the Sundollar team enough.

Fantastic pool – Fantastic hassle free build ,good price and finished 6 weeks before we agreed Finnish. Can't recommend this company enough, they delivered what they promised.

Great service – We had Sundollar build our pool 10 years ago which was a very easy experience. They did a good job, met a bit of a challenge which happened during the works very professionally, and the fool is still fine now. I have also used them to service our pool and the pool at our investment property for the last 4 years or so, and they have done a good job with that as well.

Good job reasonable price – We had our pool installed by Sundollar they were quick & on time. We had a stain on the pebblecrete which could not be removed but they refunded us part of the price paid

Pool leaks – Ever since my pool was filled with water the ground around my pool has been a saturated muddy mess. To Sundollars credit lines of communication have been good but after 2 years problem not solved. Complaint now taken to QBCC. Would not use this mob again.

Terrible communication – Sundollar built our pool last year. Throughout the entire process, communication was terrible. Luckily I was around when they were digging as I had to show them the design the salesperson had drawn for me, they were going to leave out one of the steps! They did nothing extra, we had to organise all the tiling around the pool, retaining wall, landscaping etc ourselves. They didn't communicate so many things and when we asked were told different things by different people. In the end, I have a pool, but not without a lot of stress and a couple of things I am still not happy about. I would never recommend this company.

Terrible experience! – We had our pool put in by Sundollar pools. The sales guy was nice but that's where it ended. We were promised it would be finished by August as we were leaving the country for a month mid September, they ended up doing handover the morning we flew out! council pathway and destroyed it. They constantly made appointments to meet with me, only to leave me wasting my days away with them not turning up. There was no communication between them, no one knew what was going on. I asked for an explanation or apology, they completely ignored me after promising the manager would sort it out. They are money hungry and not interested in their customers. Stay away! Disgusted with the way they treated us!

Great pool without dramas – It is now about 1 ½ years since Sundollar finished our pool and we are really happy with the service that they provided. the tiling and others did not want to touch the Enviroswim system - so we liked that Sundollar was going to give us the full package at a very attractive price. We were really happy with Michael’s no fuss attitude in the lead up to the contract – straight answers, no surprises and good communication all the way through.

The build started 2 ½ weeks after the contract was signed as promised, and the whole construction process was a pleasure to watch. There was no additional charge to dispose of the soil, no damage was done, and all the mess was cleaned up nicely. Richard the supervisor and everybody else coming into our garden during this time was courteous and did not make us feel like this was suddenly not our place any more. The tiling was done well, and small issues were addressed immediately without any dramas. Within less than a week’s time of us finishing the pool fence the pebblecrete was done – so on the first of December we could enjoy our pool !

About a year later we had the pool heating installed, and the installer was all too happy with the plumbing provision that Sundollar had put in during the build – again, no dramas. When two of the pool lights failed about half a year ago, a quick call to Sundollar and the lights were fixed within a few days without charge.

We therefore can only recommend Sundollar Pools to anybody wanting to get a beautiful pool without having any dramas. Good communication, realistic dates were given and kept, good service also after handover
