Great service, slow on funding

They processed the loan promptly and are great at sorting problems out with their automate systems. A little slow on the initial funding but overall a good lender and would definitely use them again if needed.

Worst service ever experienced

Disgusting service. Diddnt even ask any questions about my situation which if they had of i could of explained the reasons behind my bank being defrauded thru google play. Do not recommend.

When we refuse an applicant we hate to disappoint and possibly inconvenience them but we take our responsible lending obligations seriously. That's why we apply a thorough assessment process to each application we receive and if we find that an applicant would be placed in a position of financial hardship as a result of our lending we must absolutely refuse the application. The worst. Don't do it!

If I could give no stars I would. The worst customer service ever & very inconsistent/awful approval process. If you want to get treated like crap, then apply.

At Sunshine Loan Centres if you have been a previous customer numerous times (successfully) without any late payments, & paid in full etc - they DO NOT CARE. And further to that, they won't reply to your texts either, disappearing & leaving you to wonder what is going on.

I have had at least 3+ successful loans in the past with these people & I should note, that all were paid on time, all successful & they were approved on much less income & way more commitments than I have now. However, the last time I applied I was declined all of a sudden because I had a few reversals on my bank statement & this was literally the only issue with my approval. These reversals were not loans or credit cards I owed (as I have none). They were a couple of random things eg, school fees/gym that are always paid in advance and not arrears & I choose to have them debited for my own convenience - If I choose to pay another way one week, I can & I do. I was told I could not have a tiny loan because of this - despite explaining to them what they were, which was absolutely ridiculous. When it became clear to me that these reversals were going to always be referred to in the future even long after they have happened, I sorted them by choosing another payment method, closed my account and started a fresh new history with another bank..... waited a length of time, and applied 4 months later. To to make it clear, when I applied for my loan 2 weeks ago I had a 3-month statement which is what they had requested, with no reversals, a full-time wage, no loans or credit cards. Funds requested? $250. After doing all the right things, they referred to my previous declined application!!! You can't WIN! Basically, a person cannot even take steps to improve their application or situation for re-applying because it will always be used against you & this is supposed to be a company that specializes in making things easy for people, especially other people in unusual circumstances. They said that I needed to prove all my reversals from months ago had been paid on an account which I don't even hold anymore (from the last declined application). So to do all that I would need to go back to those people and contact them for statements and proof, which to be honest, for $250 is not even worth my time as it was going to take a while to do given my previous bank account has been closed.

Very fishy & dodgy. Definitely not right & very harsh considering the amount applying for (and my successful loans with them have been for $2000 or $1000 etc). My previous history had not been taken into account at all. It was way easier to apply for my first home then this was.

However, what made me the angriest, is when I attempted to have a conversation with them about it, they just ignored me and didn't reply. I had no idea whether my application had even officially been rejected until all this time later.

The moral of this story is DO NOT get a loan through these people. Go to Fairgo Finance. They are incredible & they actually took the time to look at my good history, kept in contact with me all the way and looked after me & made me feel like a valued person. Even if Fairgo had declined my application yesterday I still would have gone back to Fairgo finance for the simple reason that they didn't treat me like crap. But they approved it!

And, as per the law, if our assessment shows there is a reasonable chance such a loan would place an applicant in a position of financial hardship, we must refuse the application. This remains true even if the applicant has successfully repaid numerous loans in the past. This is why the request for proof was made, and we completely respect your decision to not provide said proof and pursue a different course of action. Again, we’re sorry we couldn’t help you at this time and also very sorry to hear that your customer service experience was unsatisfactory too! We wish you well for the future.

Never had a problem until now

Up until now Sunshine Loans has been very good with me however just recently after finding out I only had two more payments left I asked commission to move the last two payments back a fortnight they agreed to this and told me that they would charge me a fee for doing so. Since then I have had messages Weekly stating that extra money will be added every week until I have paid my missed payment which I never missed I organised it so that they would be moved back. Now I have paid the remainder of my two payments only to find out that I apparently still have $248 left to pay after being told when I moved the payments back a fortnight that I would only have to pay two payments of 190 to complete my loan now I can't contact them to let them know. Every time I call it tells me the line is too busy please call back later.

No Problems

I’ve used Sunshine Loans many times over the years and never had any problems with them at all..
Sure sometimes contact can be hit and miss but I always get a response yes fees are a tad high but that is normal for short term money lenders

There ain’t no Sunshine with this lot!

Had many short term loans with this company dating over many years. Amounts of $200 - $1,000. All paid back in full (with the odd missed payment - but all paid in full)
Since approx 2017 (I have never earned more money than now) they reject every single application from me. No phone call, no discussion. Just straight rejection and then a 3 month ban until I can apply again. They really do treat the customer as a number. There is no customer service and this is a shoddy operation. No wonder they’ve scored 1 Star on here!

Poor service, high fees

Had a loan with them previously- was ok but exorbitant fees! This time however I had poor service, inaccurate information and a badly handled complaint. Was actually ignored when I adked gor more information. Never again

Very bad experience

Poor customer service compared to other lenders. Very high fees they can say that they try to be competitive with the industry all they want but that is a lie they rates and hidden fees are very high.

So many charges and extra fees that they dont tell you about. Do not use this company.
They will steal every last cent from you and your family. Terrible customer service as well, they give you numbers to call that dont work and dont reply to emails.

Customer service is ok but they will take your last cent,

Total Rip off

Never again would I use Sunshine Loans - I've had one loan previous to this one which was no problems. This time as I got an unexpected bill I asked Sunshine Loans to reduce my monthly repayments and they refused. Poor customer service, I wouldn't recommend this mob to anyone at all. Disgraceful!

Never again - Very high fees and money-making service

Fees to high, rates too high - relative to short-term loan market

Got charged an initial $35 and weekly $30 fee for overdue and this after I contacted them (on the overdue date). Ridiculous charges - I ended up paying nearly twice the amount initially due. (not sure how???)
Slugged me for fees and charges and after the loan tenure, they sent numerous emails asking me to come back.
No thanks! - I'd rather go elsewhere - Never again engage with Sunshine!

Had 2 loans and paid out fully then after numerous requests from sunshine to apply for another applied and then refused what game are they playing.

Amazing service

For a payday loan service Sunshine are a ray of light. Super quick approvals and never a problem to deal with. Sure higher rates but not too bad when caught with your pants down.

Pay more fees & charges than the loan itself

I ended up paying more fees and charges than the loan itself. I will NEVER use them again. And I will making sure I tell everyone I know, through social media and wherever I can make people aware of their tricks and schemes to suck innocent low income people into their web of lies and deceit.

Even when I had money in my account allocated to them, they still on a consistent basis charged me a $30 late fee.
So my balance that was almost paid off, ended up being like a yoyo.

$32 remaining, nope! I just got stung with a $30 a week fee on a fortnightly payment plan. So now my total is $138. Including another $16 fee ontop.

This happened 4 times so I ended up paying $599 in fees, on a $400 loan. So the total cost of the $400 loan was $1,095.

Never again!!!

No Problem

Never had a problem with Sunshine,All information is as clear as it could possibly be.I don't understand why people are upset.The only thing that is bizzare is the weekly repayment is split in 2 halves.The only possible reason for this is if you default, You get 2 late payment fees. But the whole idea is to pay on time.

Unethical

A loan was fraudulently taken out on my name and how was that approved and paid out to the person taking this loan and who gave permission for my account to be debited. Worse Company

This was the worst customer service I have ever had! Or if that's what you would call it. The payments are the highest I've ever seen and the interest is crazy!! If you want to end up living on the street because of these thieving mongrels then go ahead but BEWARE!!

Questions & Answers

I have applied for a 1000 loan and it got approved quickly and was around 2pm WA time which is 4pm QLD time.. Then I got a sms saying the funds had been sent to my account and would receive before 5pm WA time. I'm writing this at 632pm WA time and there are no funds in my account...I've double checked the contract with my account details and they were correct but no funds? I've rang my bank to see if anything was waiting to clear and they told me nothing was apparent ... will I ever receive my money? Does this happen often? I'm worried they've sent the funds to the wrong account or gotten a number wrong on there processing end... either way no1 funds yet and was promised before 5pm. It's now 635pm and nothing! Please get back to me as I've attempted to call and email support and nothing...
