asked for a tough ETA and he laughed and said “i am on my way, don’t worry about it”. He wdid not sound like he was in a car as I could hear people in the background. I waited another 10 minutes and he still did not arrive, so I called the swift lock number back again and was told they would contact him and get him to call me. The locksmith then called me again and said he apologises for the delay and blamed traffic. It was a Saturday. There was no traffic. He also sounded like he was in a car this time. He told me he was 20 minutes away. After half an hour or so he finally arrived at my house. He checked the lock and stayed that because it was a “5 pin lock” and not a “normal lock” that it would cost me $399 instead of $99, plus a $299 weekend fee, but he wouldn’t charge me the EMERGENCY FEE on top of that because he took such a long time to get here. My dad was there with me and asked me if I got a quote. The locksmith then told me that he wasn’t allowed to gove quotes over the phone. I accepted the price, despite being incredibly furious about it, as I had already wasted half my afternoon waiting for this guy to show up, and he got the door unlocked, and as I was going to pay, he slapped the extra GST charge on top of the already exhorbitant total cost. It took him less than 1 minute to unlock the door.. and I paid almost $800 for this. I probably could have broken a window to get in a paid less money to repair the window. This customer service was disgusting. Not only was a laughed at, and made to wait a st^pid amount of time, but to then charge such an unjustified amount of money. Disgusting. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. i am a single parent that was just trying to move into my new property and life is already expensive enough as it is.

He listened to my needs as a homeowner and was not bothered when I chose to watch his work. As a homeowner I like to know what is happening to my belongings. He listened to my concerns about lost/stolen keys and security issues. In this time of the world this is a blessing. He attended kindly and with respect to a woman who was locked out of her home and explained to me why it was a priority. He respected my privacy. I have absolutely no complaints. Which is saying something!

The company initially quoted approximately $900 for a lock replacement. However, when asked for the make, model, or specifications of the proposed lock, no details were provided.

Overall, the experience lacked transparency and was frustrating. Based on our experience, we would not use this service again.

could get a 10% discount and the job would be $399 + GST! I said I was not paying that. He asked what I would like to pay. I suggested $150 all in, and when he realised this was cash - he did the job in 5 minutes. He also did offer to replace the door handle, but I didn't think I could afford whatever he was supplying - so off to Bunnings I guess. Service was fast and he did the job - I think the prices are a rip off, and some poor person will be sucked in !

I asked where his accent was from and he said he was Israeli, when I tried to engage in conversation about how my sister was married to an Israeli (niece born there) and how stunning Israel was, he was aloof and rude. Looked at the door and explained because it was a digital.lock it was a $400 job, plus the call out fee plus what other bits he could add on explaining the whole job would cost $642. I must pay ID as soon as completed, as it was only going to take 10 minutes. 40 mintes later of him trying to use a device to go under the actual door and unlock the handle from the inside and no luck. The whole time he spent on his phone speaking with his Israeli boss for advice. No attempt whatsoever to try to actually pick or disable the electronic lock. In short, old mate was most certainly NOT a qualified locksmith. I said I would call a different company, to which he requested I pay a $99 cancellation fee. Certainly not, as I did not cancel, he was unable to do his job, the one he bragged would be done in 10 minutes. He then advised me not to use any of the top three google search locksmith companies as they are all his bosses businesses. So, I called another business, not in the top 3 business results on google. Low and behold a guy with an Israeli accent offering to drill off the lock entirely. How odd that he already was so familiar with the problems I was facing. After finally speaking to a local family owned locksmith business, one photo to him and bang, I was in my apartment without him even attending and at no charge. The cherry on the cake however, was the Israeli boss dude calling me later that evening to "check on me" but actually wanting to know the knack of how I got in. My elderly father required a lock change urgently and Ryan was reliable and assisted my dad. He showed empathy and understanding to him as he is a pensioner. Locked myself out of my apartment, lock smith was a legend , arrived within 20 minutes and although couldn’t gain access due to safety protocol, went above and beyond to help me by driving me to collect spares from real estate agent.
