mine was a beauty 100% reliable – although i recently sold it to upgrade - i regard the SYM VS 125 as well above a no frills machine. the riding pleasure was the finest attribute for this town commuter it had enough get up and go when required - not a highway bike as to be expected, but really ticked all the boxes around town. a ton of storage under the seat a real advantage for the commuter/shopper.  Show details

Lots of issues after a few years – Got it second hand, speedometer broken ($200 repair) after 2 weeks it did not start, battery was faulty, had to get a new one. Three weeks later, it did not start again, needed a new coil. After 4 months, it needed a new starter motor (another $350). Now the cooling fan broke (another $100). Still a good scooter though.  Show details

Excellent – My overall opinion is, fantastic scooter! I've recommended it to all of my friends. If I'm in a scooter shop browsing I'll recommend it to anyone buying their first scooter, it's ideal.. Do yourself a favour, test drive one BEFORE you fall for the big name scooters, you'll be so glad you did and you'll save a bundle of cash.... Great scooter for… Read more

around town. It's got heaps of storeage spaceadd a top box for youer helmet and you'll never need your car again. The fuel consumption is terrific, in fact I thought my fuel gauge was broken, it just never seem to move.. I only wish they made it in a 200cc or lager... I love the VS125 in city trasffic, but, I want to be able to go on country drives... The 125cdc engine is fantastic around the city and suburbs, however, I've become hooked on riding my VS125 and I want to be able to go on short trips, sadly the 125 doesn't have a high enough cruising speed for our freeways...

Excellent – I bought my Sym VS125 second hand in November, 2009. It already had 2300kms on her and since then I've done another 2,000kms. I have had absolutely no problems with it, fantastic value as well. She is fast off the lights, I constantly surprise "flashy" cars with how quickly I take off and reach 60km/hr. The VS125 is perfect for city driving,… Read more

particularly in Brisbane weather. I have taken her on 70km/h, 80km/h and 90km/h roads with no problem, although I would say she is best on 80 or less (the 125cc aren't as heavy as the bigger bikes so if there is any wind at higher speeds it can knock you around a bit). In saying that, these bikes are built for city driving.

I would recommend this to anyone considering buying a scooter. For those who are considering getting a 50cc DON'T! Get a motorcycle license (you can get automatic ones) and upgrade to a VS125. 50cc don't have the power you need and can be sometimes unsafe (can't pick up speed fast enough). Even tho it cost me a little more to get my motorcycle license, I have not regretted getting my VS125 for a second. Massive underseat storage, quick take off, easily get to 60 km/hr, perfect for riding around the city. I pity people who have to take public transport or drive a car - a scooter is the BEST form of transport. Agree with 2nd review, fuel guage not linear in quantity. Not a big problem tho.

Excellent – This scooter is $2999 rrp. It comes standard with a 4 year waranty (wow). I get comments all the time because it looks awesome. You won't slow down traffic even on a 100kmh stretch. I don't know why everyone doesn't have one. I reckon even my mother could ride it! This scooter is leagues ahead of every other 125 scooter out there at the… Read more

moment. I've had mine do 110kmh on the flat. It has huge storage capacity, funky led rear lights, very powerful twin halogen headlights and a very comfortable riding position. I test rode 5 other scooters around the same capacity and none of them came close to this one. You need a scooter/bike license to ride it.
