Our existing 8 to 9 yr old Hitachi ducted system stopped working and showed an error code. We contacted Hitachi and was recommended T&K as the Hitachi agent. to be replaced along with the compressor. Total cost over $10k. He also stated the unit was probably not worth repairing and gave quotes for 4 replacement units and recommended we went that way. None of these quotes included ducting or vents or zone motors replaced and just to go with what was already installed. Since then we have had other quotes for same unit/s T&K quoted for and in each case the person doing the quotes got into the roof space and viewed the ducting etc and said it should also be replaced. T&K quotes were $5k (around 25%) higher than the next highest quote AND all other quotes included the full replacement and removal of the existing Hitachi unit, removal and replacement of existing ducting and full replacement of the zone motors. All up my experience with T&K was poor and I felt they were preying on our need for a new AC due to the extreme weather we were experiencing at that time.

Assistance with New Split System – I had a new Split System installed by another organisation and it had a bad rattle noise. T&K came out numerous times to try to work out the problem. new system, some never got back to me, T&K though were brilliant fitted an updated control unit that other companies said you can not get, he check out my system and showed me pictures of my system in the roof of work not done correctly when the service was done 1 month by another company. The only company I woiuld reccommend for domestic air conditioner work would be T&K Airpower, you will not be disappointed
