Great results and features – I had to replace our 15 year old Braun iron after it was dropped and broken. I bought this Target iron because it was cheap and had a 12 month warranty, which is all any of the more expensive brands offer anyway. I've owned this iron for 12 months now, and found it removes creases very effectively. It also has the same useful features our old iron… Read more
had. The spray feature is very helpful, no more spray bottle required. The cord has a swivel at the base of the iron to help prevent it from getting twisted. The auto shut off feature is a good safety design.
Good quality iron at a correct price – This is an affordable iron which is made of good quality material and easy to use. It offers all the standard options and it's heavy enough to iron cotton fabric. However, the steam is a bit too strong, so it should be used with precaution. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. Show details
Great Iron - strong steam power – This iron is great! It has all the normal controls and works as you would expect but the steam power is really strong. It makes ironing heavy cotton easy and its a big improvement over my old one. The bass plate is some kind of super slinky surface and glides easily over everything - no signs of gunk or discolouration so far. Good cord length too. So far all good Show details
Wish I could give 4.5 stars – This iron is used regularly to iron mens business shirt and other assorted clothing. The irons heats really quickly and has a shut down mode which is handy as I tend to get distracted a bit while ironing. As a basic iron it does everything I want it to just as good as any other iron I've used. The heat range is very controllable and the steam… Read more
blast action is rather powerful. The sole plate is no worse than any other iron to get in and around buttons and collars, and appears to be of a good solid, robust build while not being too heavy.
If anything, the steam-while-ironing controller could be a bit more effective - it seems to be either no steam, not enough steam to be effective, or too much steam, despite being several graduations in between the extremes.
Some of the instruction booklet appears to have been 'lost in translation' and you simply have to ignore the odder instructions and just use commonsense when using the iron.
The iron was purchased to replace a Big-Brand-Name iron costing twice the price that died after 3 months of use. While Target did offer to replace my dead iron with the same item, I guessed that their own range were being made using superseded tried and proven technology, so I found one with similar specs to the dead iron.
In comparison the Target iron doesn't leak or dribble water like the more expensive iron did either.
I have been surprised at how 'right' the iron feels for an entry level product. If it keeps up like this it will certainly be value for money.
