Having stayed at several Tasmin Holiday camps in VICTORIA ,NSW and QLD, all were great clean and friendly, we expected the same. We arrived at surpentine falls holiday park in WA after booking on the phone based on the website blog We were placed… Read more
about 50 metres from the main road , very noisy, about 1 car, bike or truck every 30 seconds...no sleep. We rang reception to ask for the WiFi password and was told " No WiFi" so no WiFi and no TV reception web site said they do have? ( we have a excellent Vanguard antenna)
Saturday morning it was drag race time V8 car and high power motor bike drag racing right out the camp not one but twice, again constant traffic noise all day long.we did not bother with the showers as another unhappy camper told us it had cockroaches in the showers, we gave that a miss. Conclusion...would not say here again if they paid us. D&J
Victoria, NSW and QLD are still good camps in our books
Follow-up · Cannot comment on the playground, pool or kitchen as we never used them, to be honest we couldn't wait to leave, the only other comment we can make is the tiny tiny dump point we used upon our exit, it was only built for very small people with no room to move once inside the the fenced area that was built around the point, it was about 3 ft square… Read more
Refund issues – Cancelled a booking with one of their caravan parks on 2nd October. No issues, happy to refund. We let them know the card we used to book has closed down. They asked for our new bank details. Head office decided even though they have our new information to refund to our non existent bank account. Wanted us to do the ring around for their mistake… Read more
and ring the bank we don't use. Just like I thought, we can't get money from them as we don't have an open account. But yet still expect is to find this money, like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Won't refund us our money. We have written proof they stuffed up and will be making a formal complaint and take this further.
Poorly equipped 3Bdr Villas – Three bedroom Villas - $349 per nite....one pays a bit extra for a bit of extra comfort?..while the 3br villas are spacious & comfortable the anticipated ancillary amenities are poor. The cutlery drawer appears to be ad hoc pieces from an "op-shop" visit...the cheap kitchen, bread & pairing knives have long past their usefulness and also need… Read more
replacing. Dishwasher installed but alas, no dishwasher tablets/detergent...the "chux" sink cloth has been cut in half & neatly folded under the sink!!..it would cost more to cut/fold than issue a whole "chux"!...& there's no manuals for anything?..the stove, microwave, the dishwasher,... the electric fire place does have directions but unfortunately no remote. While a convenient location, one can find a lot more comfort value for an extended stay in Bright.. The staff are generally friendly and very accommodating, much of experience appears to be Tasman company policy designed to effectively address financial overheads & commercial expenditure?. This was our second stay at the Tasman facility in Bright,..with a bit more research one can find much better value for money for their visit to Bright.
Ridiculous price gouge – Instead of staying at this ripoff, park the caravan outside the area and get a hotel room
Perfect – We stayed at the Lake Mulwala Park and the staff were unbelievable. the cabins were far better than we expected and the boat ramp was awesome. You could say it was perfect, everything surpassed our expectations, and the prices were very good. We are keen to rebook another visit. Show details

A taste of nature in a REAL term – There are many natural beauties in the surrounding area of this holiday park. It sits below the beautiful Serpentine Falls and Jarrahdale historical town is only a stone throw away. We spent a lot of our mornings in and around the many walk trails in the vicinity. Had nice lunches at the local pub and cafe to support the local businesses. The… Read more
only disadvantage (not disappointment please) is that it can get really windy during the night and into the morning. This is mother nature at work. Wind can reach 70Km or more. Some campers unawared of this natural phenomenon, put up gazebos, tents and left things lying around their camp sites, would find missing covers, towels, clothes and things in the morning. Many would have little sleep when those strong wind pushed against their tents and vans. Nothing anyone can stop it. Otherwise it is a nice place not far away from the city. Would we stay again? Yes, we would.
