Tefal Master Valet IS6300 / Compact IS6200 Questions & Answers
VerifiedAm I able to get a copy of the is6300 user manual sent to me in the post?.
Hi Dee, unfortunately I don’t think so. Have you tried the tefal site? Nowadays manuals are online. Sorry couldn’t help much. Is there anything else you need help on?
Our unit has stopped working, there was quite a fair amount of scale build up which I rinsed out, but still no steam. I'd like to know what the likely cause and what the repair costs will entail vs buying a new unit. Any ideas?
Regards,
Fred

Hi just bought & found the brush attachment doesn't located securely at the bottom, the top clips in and that's all .....is this the design or a fault?
The steamer head has two depressions on the bottom and one in in the centre on the top. To attach the brush, I pushed it on to the bottom first and then the top clip clicks into place. It then is quite secure and can be used for heavier weight materials. For my silks, I simply used the elasticized cloth cover.

I have purchased is 6300... Where is crease clipper? And how to press and make crease.. I feel as it's only steamer.. Not press option and especially no crease option.. Please guide me.. Or should I take latest model? If there is latest model..Ijaz adv pk fsd.. email counsel1st@gmail.com.
There isn't a crease clip - which I think should be available. To make a crease, you need to roll down the 'blind', then fold the garment where you want the crease, and push the garment against the 'blind' while steaming. It does give a soft crease but not as much as a crease clip would.
I contacted Tefal about the glove and crease clip and this is their response: Unfortunately the manufacturer has confirmed that attachments 22d (glove) and 22e (crease clip) are not available to the Australian market and so are not available for purchase. So, according to the manufacturer, Australians don't need the glove because, unlike other countries, we don't need protection from the heat it generates, and, we don't like our clothes to be nicely creased where they're supposed to be!!!!
I'm slowly regretting purchasing this item....
Hi!
After I decant the water from the water reservoir, there is still water left in the inlet. How do I completely dry it? I have been using this for several months now and I only realised today that there is leftover water at the inlet and there are some molds in it now and how do I clean the inlet now?
Thanks.
I always leave the water container off the stand and remove the screw top to let it air. If there is mould on it I'm not sure how you would remove that. Bleach removes mould, but I would be reluctant to use it as I am not sure what it would do to the plastic. You may need to email Tefal and ask them. Sorry I couldn't help
I have the same issue. I use so many paper towels trying to absorb the water as the last thing i want is mould and so much descaling! I believe the manuals suck & dont explain enough..like do the manufacturers know their own products? Will take back soon if any of the above tips dont work.
