Fantastic steam iron, better than the other two I've owned – I've owned three irons, this was the second one that I'd bought. The first being a sunbeam, then this one, then another Tefal Iron (Effectis Easy). The great thing about this iron is the amount of steam it generates and how quickly it does it. The other two took at least twice the time to warm up and didn't keep steam for as long. I don't hang my… Read more

shirts to dry, so they get very wrinkled and this iron eases through it, quickly. This one is so good that I'm going to get the plate replaced so I can keep using it instead of my new Tefal.

The two downsides are that it is prone to leaking water; I don't know if this is from a lack of maintenance as I never descaled it, or just a common fault. The other is that the plate gets sticky from being so hot on polyester shirts or garments; it never happened with my shirts but when other people used the iron. I tried cleaning it with iron cleaner, which works for a little while but then gets sticky again; I'm assuming because the teflon has come off.

For those saying that there aren't replacement parts, try https://www.allappliances.com.au/ in Heidelberg, Victoria. They sell parts online and have said it'll cost between $80 - $100 for them to replace the plate on this model.

Very Good Iron – I've done this review this review the wrong way around as I've actually reviewed my latest iron before this one so to get the reason I changed out of the way, The reason I changed is after 5 years (which is an ok run) is the steam function stopped working and it started leaking water through the iron. Prior to that it has been a great iron.… Read more ·  1

Being my first steam base iron I loved the fact it was so light compared to a normal iron and had a base you could put the iron on whilst adjusting clothes. Like other reviewers I found it was a lot faster than my last iron (able to do 4 shirts in 15mins vs 20mins with my previous iron).

Having said all of this, I didn't buy another steam base iron and went back to a normal iron and found it was even better than this (even though it was a third of the price) and have been able to iron my shirts faster (Braun Textyle 7).

Bloody amazing – This unit creates more steam that you will ever need. Changing from a normal steam iron to a steam generator iron resulted in a significant decrease in the time ironing shirts. It is truly amazing how quickly you can iron shirts and pants, on the ironing board or while hanging. I am very impressed with this unit. Heaps of steam - even on the lowest setting. I like how you can keep the iron in the holder even when hot.

You'll wonder how you lived without it – Absolutely awesome iron! Irons clothes in half the time including crushed pillow cases that previously I could never get the crinkles out of. One quick slide of the iron on full pressure steam and it is perfect! Even my husband raves about it and says that he now loves ironing his own work shirts LOL Everything Nothing

Ironing is done in half the time – My teal steam station iron is fabulous and I would never ever go back to a standard domestic style iron - never. My family and friends have all tried my iron then gone out and bought one for themselves. Warms up in 2 mins which is a while when you are in a hurry but it's worth the wait as the steam is so strong and constant I never have to turn anything over to iron the back. Love it and highly recommend the tefal. An amazing iron Expensive

Good results with ironing but if something goes wrong you cannot get it fixed – I purchased my iron four years ago and found it to be very good with getting rid of the creases but my ironing board got very wet after about an hour of ironing. I could live with this (I paid over $400 for this iron) but when it stopped working I took it to their preferred repairer who advised me that there where no replacement parts available! … Read more

I had to throw it away - was not happy. Do not buy tefel irons. Easy to use Expensive with no spare parts available if something goes wrong

Never buy one again – i have had two tefal steam generators in a year. While they are excellent for ironing and easy to use, i have had a lot of trouble with the steam button failing, and no steam coming out, one u nit was repaired, but that stopped working 2 days before warranty expired, after arguing with tefal a replacement unit from tefal was given to me.… Read more

Unfortunately the same thing has happened again and as this was a replacement no warranty.I have had this new iron since feb this year and never expected anything to go wrong again.I will look at an australian brand iron as parts for the tefal take up to 6 weeks to arrive, which is very poor considering i can order from england and thing sarrive in days.

The good guys have stopped stocking tefal and only have phillips so that must say something!

I would never go back to an ordinary iron again. A steam station is perfect if you can find a good brand that lasts. The 110gm steam is perfect for cutting your ironing in half. good steaming for ironing, easy fill and heat up expensive, faulty steam button

Good – I chose this steam station after considering Laura Star and Delonghi as it was significantly cheaper than Laura Star, easy to use/carry with locking handle, easy to refill, has an ergonomic handle & controls and the handle is light weight in comparison to others. Tefal products are usually of a high quality - its also nice to see they are still… Read more

made in France!

Ironing is so easy and convenient with this steam station - why would I bother paying someone else to do it for me? Quick and easy to use - makes pressing business shirts, sheets, curtains or even suits a breeze!

Gentle on fabrics - steam permeates and softens fibres without causing "shine" like a conventional hot iron.

Non-stick plate is smooth and doesn't damage delicate shirts.

Easy to refill reservoir without switching off off and waiting to cool - allows for continuous ironing basket loads!

Offered 30 day money back trial - but of course I was happy with it! Not quite as easy to clean as it sounds in the instructions.

Despite using water filtered by a Brita jug, salts build up underneath the plate and leach out onto fabrics causing marks.

These salts are difficult to remove with just water as the instructions explicitly advise.

I tried using vinegar which resulted in a sticky mess that took alot of rinsing and spraying with water to eventually remove.

I suspect that the steam hose is starting to leak resulting in loss of pressure (and potentially costly repair?)

Excellent – We needed a new iron as our old one just stopped working one day. I was originally going to purchase a normal iron, but then considered that i was spending up to $60 a week on dry cleaning to get a few shirts and slacks done. I thought I would give one of these steam stations a go, but I was not fully convinced that it would replace my dry… Read more

cleaner....

Boy was I wrong. These machines are fantastic. I now iron my shirts perfectly crisp in under 2 minutes. Its amazing. Truly. Its saving me $60 a week, and has already payed me back so to speak. Previously I would iron things nut could never seem to get that dry cleaner look, even if I spent 15 minutes on 1 shirt. Now I get a perfect shirt in under 2 minutes.

Go get one and save yourself time, whilst looking good! Adjustable steam and heat setting mean you can get the perfect setting for each garment. I usually leave mine on the same setting however as I am always ironing my business shirts. Nothing really. Its a great product.

Good – I was after a replacement steam station as my Sunbeam didn't last very long. Tefal has a good name so I thought to try it out as the price was also very good. This Tefal Express steam station is great. There is a place to store the electrical cord (although retractable would be better). The water tank is continuously refillable. The sole… Read more

plate is non-stick so it won't burn your clothes like stainless steel can. The steam is very powerful even at a low pressure. The iron heats up quickly enough. Nearly a perfect steam station. Water can drip from the iron if the plate is not on full heat.
