Cheap parts – Love my iron and would give it 5 stars however it's let down by the plastic steam button. This is the second one in three years that has broken. For such a necessary part of the iron it is poorly made relying on small plastic pins which break. Won't be buying another  Show details

I love it - but!!! – I have used these for years. Having bought this one the only issue that i have is when it gets upto steam and i start ironing i first get a fair bit of water coming out with the steam then after some time that stops. This however makes the clothes I am ironing damp. The unit is all of about two months old if that. Advice if anyone can please.

Let down – The iron box itself is OK. Though it says high pressure steam, I could see only a marginal difference to a Bruan which I replaced. The huge water tank was thought to be handy but was a let down. 1. There is no way you can find how much water is left by seeing. The tank if fully opaque and no transparent level indicator either. 2. Half way through… Read more

you ironing if you run out of steam you just cannot open the inlet because it is boiling like car radiator, It is pressurized and hot. You need a oven glove to open the water inlet and keep yourself away from the steam. This is dangerous and burnt my finger with steam. Otherwise you have to wait it cools down. This is not practical.

1 liter of water fill goes for about 5 shirts on full heat and steam. I bought this two weeks ago from Harris Scarfe on sale for $ 100. I would not pay the full price of $ 245 ever.

This may the issue with all big tank iron boxes.

Good Steam Station – I thought it had stopped working. It had stopped steaming. We cleaned it and still no go. Called Tefal but 8 weeks out of warranty I wasn't getting anywhere. Had another clean and check over and noticed the dials on the right hand side had been bumped or moved. Steaming again. Very happy, this is a very good steam station and I do hope it continues to steam away.  Show reply

Awesome – Has been fantastic. So far been using it since 2011 and it has been going strong since. Only drawback is that you cant use starch due to the soleplate. Some easy to clean instructions would go well with this iron, as the soleplate does get quite dirty after a while. Powerful, easy to use hard to clean

Easy pressing – I have only had mine for a month, however I love it and could not imagine ever going back to my conventional steam iron. It is fast and easy. Does a great job. Wonderful all round! The sales assistant at the large store where I made my purchase told me that it was bottom of the range and was urging me to go for a more expensive brand. I was told… Read more

the hole to the water tank was too small (I use a funnel and a 1 liter jug to fill the tank. It is so easy!) The sales assistant said it takes 8 minutes to get to steam. So what! I organize my time around that. She also said steam drips on to the floor from the ironing board. It does not happen for me, even after more than 2hrs ironing session. I did my research. I checked out a recent Choice magazine review where it rated "best buy" and I also quizzed on 2 separate occasions, 2 sales assistants in a large bed linen store who use one of these steam stations to press bed linen for their floor displays. They were happy to give me their unbiased opinions. All favorable! Inexpensive, and most efficient, smaller than the others, which made it much easier for me to store it away when not in use.

Excellent iron but didn't last the distance – This iron revolutionised my ironing - heaps better than old style irons. Lasted 18 months and then developed problems with steam not working and brown stuff coming out of the steam vents. Had bought extended 2yr warranty which proved useful as it only came with 1 yr. Also the filter disintegrated and came out when I washed out the tank. All in all… Read more

not great quality but probably good value for money as long as you've bought a longer warranty. It was good, quick and reduced ironing time Needed clear water tank, had no auto-off, took a long time to heat up, didn't last very long!
