I have owned this iron for over 6 years and I am absolutely over the moon with it, my daughter bought hers first and she recommended it to me. From what I understand it is now obsolete, I most definitely would buy another. Someone mentioned that they were disappointed that it didn’t do nothing sides of the garment, well it does depending on the type of ironing board cover you use. You can buy covers specifically for steam generator use. Show details ·  1

It's a good iron but not exactly what they said it would do – It was stated it would cut your ironing time in half as you would only have to do one side of an item. In my experience that is not true as I still have to iron both sides. It also is not good at removing creases from linen.

Most expensive piece crap – We were excited to buy this magnificent iron and assumed that it was the bee's knees. Made in France, so quality would not be an issue. We wanted it to last many years so we used demineralised water in it to avoid calcium buildup. Cared for it and only used on school uniforms and officewear on a weekly basis. Worked well and was happy. Packed it… Read more

in after 2 years 4 months. Tried to get it repaired through Tefal Authorized Repairer at our cost. Staff very unhelpful and disinterested. Told that no repair facility in Brisbane metro area. Nearest repairing facility more than 100km's away.

A very good and reliable product – I have had a Tefal Steam Generator for 5 years running straight, day in day out without any problems nor any mechanical or technical complaints. Unfortunately, 16 days ago it fell and cracked at the base so all the water was seeping through. I needed another one immediately. I bought the new Tefal GV9060 without hesitation. It works just as well… Read more

and I love that I can top up the water with the tank coming away from the main body very easily and pops back in very easily too. The steam output is very strong and the point at the end of the iron makes it very useful for precision ironing around buttons and pleats. I love that it has three settings which I have great need of and it truly does wonders. I have found that I can easily use it on any delicate fabric and not worry about anything burning or melting away. Also, I iron a great number of linen and the setting on maximum makes it a breeze. I don't even have to use any kind of starch or fabric softener. There is one thing that I wish it has and that is that this model does not have a separate steam shot button. The previous model had it and this one does not. Other than that, this is an easy to use steam generator that is light in weight, it has great temperature control, it uses tap water which is a big plus and it glides over all materials effortlessly. Very glad I bought this.

Excellent Steamer, a must have for heavy users (Tefal GV9061) – We got this several months ago, and wanted to review it as it's been plenty of time to find out pros and cons if any. It's a great steamer overall. The tank is decently sized and can power through a weeks worth of heavy ironing without a refill, huge bonus in my book. It's extremely powerful, knocking out wrinkles on fabrics that are doubled or… Read more

tripled, which saves lots of time, especially in those pesky duvet covers. You don't need to iron each side. Just iron it doubled up and the steam is so powerful it will penetrate any fabrics with ease. It's also easy to use to steam delicate items in a hanger. You can use the steam function as normal or horizontally and it keeps up with any jobs. Sheets, shirts, jeans, more sheet and doesnt stop. You can refill if needed on the go, and has an amazing self cleaning function where you just empty a little tray that holds the mineral buildup. It starts fast and is ready in under a minute. It's sort it a semi-auto, with three settings but it never gets too hot nor too cool. Always seems right. No qualms ironing thousand dollars sheets or clothes. Has cord storage for both the steam hose and the power cord.

It's lighter in hand than our old Tefal, as the boiler and such is in the the actually stationary machine. But you don't even need to use any pressure, just glide it along and let it do it's magic. It's also very quiet, however the steam in full can be a bit louder, so I'd suggest ironing somewhere as not to disturb anyone. The only main thing we noticed over our normal iron was lots of water. Be sure to have a rust proof ironing board and put a towel down on the floor. As the steam penetrates through fabrics and the board itself and with no towel underneath, you'll be left with a puddle. Other than that, amazing machine, well worth the price!

A Great Iron for the Serious Ironer – Just purchased this iron today. Have graduated from the regular steam iron, which I got tired of having to continually refill the water tank. There are many steam generator irons in this product range from all the major brands so I can’t comment on the performance of the Tefal compared to other brands. However, having used a regular iron for… Read more

well over 20 years, the Tefal Pro Express Care is a real joy to iron with. I found that I don’t have to keep ironing over the same spot to remove creases. The high steam capacity of this iron makes removing creases super easy, especially on the “max” heat setting.

I’m in charge of ironing for the whole family, so it normally takes me about 4 hours each Sunday to complete the ironing. Today, my first day with this new iron it took just 2.5 hours, and that’s being completely unfamiliar with the features and settings. I’m sure it will get quicker once I learn my way around it properly.

I would recommend this iron, but make sure you buy it when it’s on promotion. I paid $289 on special at One of the major department stores. Well worth the extra over and above what you would pay for a high end regular steam iron.

Lovely quality iron works wonderfully – This is such a nice iron! It is nice and heavy and does a beautiful job, even with heavy linen. It has the most powerful steam function that I have used and features such as auto shut down, a really good quality swivelling cord and holds a steady temperature. I literally cannot think how they could make it any better It works really well for any… Read more

Love my new Tefal – This iron is replacing my trusty old Tefal steam station that was almost 10 years old and I can say I have not been disappointed! The iron is great with so much steam pressure that gets out even the toughest creases. I do find that I need to use it on the hottest setting for best results, but most of the things I iron are cotton which requires a high heat . I would recommend this iron.  Show details

Much better than any other iron I have used – This iron heats quickly, achieves a really good press without leaving marks on garments and the steam function works well on delicate items. I bought a professional ironing board to use with it and it gives fantastic results. Only downside is the weight of the unit so I would suggest buying a sturdy board.  Show details

Quick and Effective! – Love this iron! It used to take me forever to iron but this iron has shortened half of the time required. Its quick to heat up, gentle on the garments, and it packs away neatly. The steam is very powerful as well. I don't think i can live without this iron!  Show details

Tefal GV9060 Pro Express Care - Fantastic! – My husband recently purchased for me the Tefal GV9060 Pro Express Care Steam Station and it is fantastic. 1) Quick heating, easy to use, easy to follow instructions, ironing time halved. 2) Looking forward to the new features of Autoclean Durilium plate and anti-calcification feature in this new model, this was not present in my old one. 3)… Read more

The pointed tip is good for corners.
