Tearing my hair – People who just want a basic phone, without added functions, are usually wanting something easy to use. This phone is anything but easy. I am a tech-help volunteer at a library and I find it utterly frustrating when people come in and ask me to help them do things on this phone. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

Absolute Rubbish! – The first phone I bought didn't even work. When I took it to the Telstra shop to transfer my contacts from my old phone to the new one, they said it wouldn't recognise the SIM card. I had to take it back to Big W for an exchange. I've had this piece of junk for nearly 4 weeks now and have nothing but problems with it. My 7 year old Telstra flip… Read more

T20 phone used to get 5 bars at my front gate, this gets none and only 2 bars in town. It also has extremely poor reception at one of my work places and I missed 2 calls in one day. It's completely useless in rural areas. I had no idea about the size of this phone as it was in a box when I purchased it. It's ridiculously big and digs into my hip when in my pocket at work all day. While at work one day it turned itself onto silent and I missed 5 urgent calls in a row from a very unhappy co-worker who thought I was ignoring them. After 2 weeks the small screen on the flip top part stopped working for a day. It's extremely user-unfriendly and nothing like the old Telstra flip T20. It took me 2 weeks to work out where the punctuation marks are when sending text messages and that section of the screen is impossible to see when you're outside. It took me 3 weeks to work out how to put numbers into text messages. There's nothing intuitive about using it. I recently left it turned on for half a day when fully charged and didn't use it. I then put it on the charger for 2 days and it only charged to 70%. I knew this phone had bad reviews when I bought it, but so did every other flip phone I researched and this was the only one available to buy locally. Save your money and a LOT of frustration, buy yourself a carrier pigeon!!!!

Terrible keyboard & screen – I don't ever expect flip phones to be good quality or easy to use, but being a Telstra branded product, I expected it to feel ok. But no. The keyboard is perhaps the worst part, with incredibly vague key feel, making it difficult for anyone (let alone the elderly) to use. The circular cursor control ring is especially bad, with no markings and a… Read more

central select button that is almost impossible to press without moving the cursor. Again any elderly person will hardly be able to use this control, especially not without good lighting. A real fail. Secondly the screen is really, really poor - like something from 15 years ago. It washes out completely unless looking from the perfect angle. Yes, most flip phones are poor, but I've seen no others that are this poor.

ONLY WORKS ON 3G! – I bought this mobile thinking it would be a good, simple, lightweight phone for those times when I don't want to carry a more expensive device. I couldn't get it working and after several discussions on-line with Telstra, it turns out there was a 3G outage in my area, and the phone wouldn't work! I complained that this was supposed to be a 4G… Read more

phone, and my other phone worked just fine. Clearly this phone will not work when the 3G network is shut down, so it's borderline useless!

I have asked for a refund, but Telstra haven't responded. I don't want a 3G phone Telstra, I want a 4G phone. It is fraudulent for a company to sell something which doesn't work as advertised. Avoid it like the plague.

Telstra Flip phone 3 – This is a cost effective phone, designed for people who just desire a phone without all the scanners and other things that are better to do on a laptop. I just love the way it fits in my pocket and don't dig in when you sit down. The internet works fine after a few days, it might need to update. The front facing camera is gone, as too is the… Read more

emoji's. I like this phone, it does what I want, it takes a bit of getting used to, but for the money, its good value and functional. I would recommend it for people who want to keep in touch without the bulk of a smart phone cramming up your life style.

Telstra 3 flip phone – I purchased Telstra 3 flip for an older per who wanted something easy to use, well what a piece of useless , complicated crap is this phone. None of the functions make sense. I tried to return it but they would not accept it because it had been activated. Had i not activated i would not have realised what a crappy phone it is. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. Show details

worst phone I have ever owned – I have had many flip phones over the years and this is my third one from Telstra. The others have all been simple and reliable. The flip 3 however is rubbish. It is full of glitches with the most annoying one being it makes calls while closed while in your pocket! It also automatically adds a 0 to the beginning of numbers you are trying to dial.… Read more

Not always, just sometimes. Its more difficult than its predecessor to text with less features. Mine is only a couple of months old but will be in the bin by the end of this week.

Absolute rubbish – Key pad volume is linked to ring tone volume, to hear phone ring you drive people crazy with key pad beeps. Central navigation key poorly designed causing miss hits. It also does not illuminate as the other keys do. When ending use of phone it does not "go to home" you have to back step out of your last use to begin a new function. Extremely slow… Read more

displaying received txt messages. When typing messages the space key works some of the time. You cannot see the curser location in the menu screen unless in low light I have to immediately clear the call history after use or the phone will call my last contact while in my pocket as I move.
