That Handyman

Lez is a conman and a thief. Took a deposit and then when we decided to cancel the agreement before any work was started he promised to refund the deposit but kept coming up with excuses everyday and has stopped replying or answering. Absolutely do not hire this guy for anything.

Les was quick to respond and we were very happy with his and Damien’s workmanship. They completely the job competently and additional work was done within a short timeframe. Advice was offered without pressure. Would recommend.

Con Man who should be de registered – This guy is a complete [Content Removed] Artist - he never quoted, charge for work when his workers were not even on site, he stole our spare set of keys so we had to change the locks, he left all his rubbish on site which he promised to remove. I’m so glad I told him to leave the premises after the 1st job was completed. Stay clear of this parasite!!!

Lez rose is a coward and a thief do not trust this parasite – Lez rose hired me to complete work for him- completed it well and on time. He paid his deposit and once we were completed he never paid hos final invoice leaving us $9k out of pocket. Do not hire this guy to do work for you his work quality is absolute trash. Do not trust him he knows how to play this game. He is very experienced in ripping people off. Just check his reviews…..I wish I did before I started working for him.

Great work – I called les showed him the bathroom which had hidden faults gave me good advice and cost as i was on a budget i was happy with the service i would refer his services to anyone and would contact him again

Dishonest – The guy named Les is a liar and cannot be trusted. He was quick to register interest in ServiceCentral but then came up with every excuse and lie to make me wait for a quote every day. Some of his lies: "I promise you tomorrow", "I swear on bible I do it in the morning", "I am doing it right now", etc. etc. This went on for a month and he did not have the courtesy of telling me not to wait! Avoid this man!

Do not trust – I hired Les Rose from That Handyman and I have never had such a poor experience with a tradesperson. He is unprofessional, uncommunicative, unreliable. I paid him a cash depost of $1800, he domolished a wardrobe and then disappeared when he was supposed to plaster and paint the wall afterwards. day to finish my job, and then never showing up. He didn't respond to my emails or text messages and didn’t answer phone calls. He started out being helpful and friendly but then he turned, showing a temper and petulance. Be aware.

Do Not Trust – We have also had terrible trouble with les Rose and ended up at VCAT. He became quite threatening and constantly demanded more and more money for a very shoddy job of repainting our house. Told us it had two coats but it clearly had one and was not sanded back before paint was applied. We had to have the house repainted by another company. Do not trust this man he caused us a great deal of stress.

Not to be trusted – Almost a year on, and with the job done by another contractor, I am still trying to get our deposit of $2,500 plus court costs, which were awarded in our favour by VCAT. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Incomplete work. Use at own risk – We started with great communication, timely service and competitive pricing. We were happy with the works as we paid installments. later and I'm now starting recovery action. I've had to chase That Handyman since the final payment. He has became abusive and threatening towards us even though he has been paid in full, not completed the job and will not provide any indication of completion.

Use at your own risk. We are disappointed as he started off very well. It is unfortunate but we cannot warn you enough about That Handyman.
