The Carpet Man

I would like to caution potential customers considering this company for timber flooring installation. While they may excel at laying carpet, I can assure you they are incompetent when it comes to timber flooring. I recently moved into a new unit, and these guys won the tender for the timber flooring work. Unfortunately, there were numerous faults, not just in my unit, but in several others as well, which had to be redone due to poor workmanship.

Issues included mismatched flooring colors, as well as splits in the boards that created a safety hazard. We had to place a rug down to prevent injuries from sharp edges. The flooring was uneven and hollow underneath because they didn't level the floor beforehand. The trims were not secured properly, and the doors scraped against the timber floor due to unevenness,There are gaps between the joints where dirt is accumulating.

We requested them to come and inspect the work and were given a specific day and time for the visit. However, they did not show up without any explanation. They sent a worker, who spoke no English, to rectify the issues, but he could not address problems such as missing chunks from the floorboards. It has been a horrendous experience.
