should buy 2 colours and use both). Made sense to me, so I did so. The resulting colour was much darker than the goal pic and nothing like it in tone. Panicked, I emailed her back with pics of my result and asked what I could do to fade the colour quickly. Heard nothing for 2 days. In the meantime I spent those 2 days and researched myself. I managed to fade it down to a more reasonable colour, thankfully with no damage to my hair. When I finally heard back from her she asked if my hair was porous, fine or curly - which it was, and the 'fine and curly' could be seen in the initial pics I sent. She blamed the darker colour on all of these things, but never once asked me if my hair was any of these things before recommending a colour. Have had several interactions with her now, all unsatisfactory - she wants me to spend more money on their products to fix it but will not offer a discount for insufficient/incorrect advice given at the start of the process. I will not use them again and warn everyone else not to also. They do not care about user experience and customer service is shockingly bad. I'm trying a different company next time and hoping for a better outcome.

a demi option. I bought the Montecristo Light Ash Brown. I have long hair so received two tubes and two sachets. I only used one of each as I'm really only focusing on my roots and then I blend it through the lengths. I am very impressed with the colour and how it makes my hair feel. I think it looks just as good as if I went to the salon and paid nearly $200! I will definitely continue to use this product and have recommended The Shade to my friends.

which non existent. I told them that the colour they sent through did not have any pigment and didn't even dye my skin which is quite normal when using a hair colour. They told me to return the unused products at my expense to which I responded with a request for postage as their product was faulty. I am still waiting for a response! I contacted my credit card dealer AMEX and told them about the issues. I received written notification from AMEX from The Shade to say I did not used the dye correctly which is a lie. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service. Buyers Beware! Purchasing a product that only works now and again is not good enough. Hair dye is supposed to dye your hair not wash through. Unethical and immoral behaviour from an Australian company.

I have bleached hair and wanted to go more of a natural colour matching my regrowth to save money. I ordered from the shade and am so happy with the result. I will definitely be purchasing again. I bought the dark ash blonde and love how healthy my hair looks and feels. My hair looks and feels like it was done in the salon at a fraction of the price. 10/10
This product does not do what it promotes. The [recommended] colour looks nothing like the pictures and nor does it cover grey hairs. I stupidly bought 3 boxes of colour and when I sent the company pictures of how bad my hair looked, they suggested I spend more money on their products to fix it. I requested a refund and was ignored and then blocked on social media.

didn’t have a great result. It was murky. But that was my own fault- I didn’t research enough about how to colour over my blonde. My hair actually felt and smelled great after using the colour products, regardless. And the free hair repair mask that they put in the colouring kit is INCREDIBLE for restoring moisture and shine. I did a second round of colour on with a level 6 base instead of a level 7, and it worked an absolute treat. I got the extra colour tube as I have thick hair, so I had enough product to saturate my whole head of hair (love this option). Went and got a hair cut to get rid of my frizzy dry ends afterwards. I love the colour result. Would definitely use it again.

deleted it. Very strange way to run a business. I just have a simple question about how to use the product but they would rather have terrible reviews and disputes with banks than just answer the question.
Have been forced to lodge a dispute with my bank so I can get my money back. I don't recommend this business... if you need help using a product you won't get it.

I'm OBSESSED with the 4.3 Roma Deep Golden Brown hair dye! The price is super reasonable, and the results are amazing. Dark blonde and it's worked well to help blend it together better being abit darker. And neutral so I see some warmth and shine in the sun esp. Ill either stick with this colour or I might play around and do a duo next time to add some more warmth as Iv realized I quite like warmth in my colour. The colourist replys to questions quickly and is very helpful and explains things well. The hair colour kits are great easy instructions easy to apply yourself i do get a little bit of hair fall out when washing out the colour but it's not much. I might try a demi next time for this reason. I do a little strand test before doing all over to make sure the colour looks ok first. The little shampoo and conditioner it comes with is really nice. Makes hair really feel soft and silky. Edit Wanted to update after a couple of weeks I really didn't like the colour it's faded to, very brassy orangey colour. Have decided to stop colouring and grow it out.
Could not be happier with the colour and service. My hair still feels really healthy and the copper I chose is actually pretty hard to find elsewhere. Will be ordering again.
I did a colour test and went with Trento Ash Brown with 27 vol developer. I have resistant greys and the website said that's all I'd need. The first time I tried it didn't even colour my greys. It washed straight off them. Same with the second time. This time I left it on for over an hour, and it washed straight out. I was trying to save some money but there is no point if it doesn't do the one thing I need it to.

ash light brown and they gave it to me at 50% discount plus postage again. I used the product hoping it would fix the problem but now my hair is dark and even more red throughout. I contacted them again for at least my money back and how I can fix this… not that I’d trust anything they said now but. I bought and coloured my hair twice in two weeks on their recommendations by “professionals” and now my hair is ruined. They said according to their terms and conditions they don’t refund just because you don’t like the result. It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s not what I wanted/ordered. I sent them proof of my before and afters. It’s going to cost me $$$ to fix this now at a proper salon. I’m so disappointed and upset.

I have used THE SHADE colour dye for nine years now and still find it to be very successful. I find that it does not irritate my scalp at all and this is a bonus compared to dyes I have bought before. Thanks for your assistance in this regard.
Excellent product. The colour that I choose was as stated. The instructions were easy to follow, the application of the colour was not difficult,it is helpful to have a hand mirror to ensure that the colour coverage is even. I found the wait time quite relaxing. I will purchase again from this site. The range of products is good, I look forward to trying other products.

I was supposed to know that I had to mix two colour tubes myself (not knowing what ratios or even which tube was which!).

smell, which was a big plus. I did get a little bit of staining on my forehead, but that’s on me—I have to apply it right at the front to cover greys. The colour isn’t as harsh or intense as supermarket brands, which I really like. It looks natural, and people aren’t going to think I’ve just dyed my hair the next day. Great customer service, I received great advise for covering my grey hairs as my greys didn’t fully cover. They sent me a free colour pack and told me to add some heat to my hairline and add a shower cap. It worked and love this product.
