The worst customer service experience of my life – I bought two pairs of tights from The Upside via The Dom. I tried them on - one pair felt like wearing actual plastic and the other was felted and didn’t suit. Both weren’t quite the right size, one slightly too small and one slightly too big, so I returned them. I assume they’re surplus stock, hence why they’re discounted on The Dom. Anyway, I hear back from The Dom saying The Upside won’t accept my return and want to send the items back to me, because apparently the tights have a scent like they’re been worn!!! First of all - hugely insulting, secondly, who’s job is it to sniff the returns? Thirdly, impossible, because I hadn’t worn them for more than about 5 seconds each. But I’m thinking ok, I had put them on the kitchen table for a while before I eventually got to Aus Post to mail them... do they maybe smell like cooked food or something? So I say fine, whatever, they’re of no use to me but I’ll cop the loss on the chin, just send them back.

Next, The Upside want me to pay to have them sent back even though I’ve already paid for delivery and return. I say heck no, I don’t think they smell, but if you do and don’t want to refund me, you can send them back to me, you know, for all of $9 postage or whatever, big spenders!

Anyway I think they refused because the poor guy at The Dom tells me they had to send The Upside a shipping label.

Of course, when the tights come back, guess what? They don’t smell. Actually they do, they smell like the plastic packaging, as they did when they first arrived.

All of this over two pairs of discounted tights worth a grand total of $143.99.

Would I recommend The Dom? Yeah, I guess, they tried their best for a resolution. A resolution where I lost all my money and wasn’t believed, but ok.

Would I recommend The Upside? Not in a million years. I’ll burn those tights before I wear their logo.

good products but terrible returns process – The returns process is not up to standard with other companies. You have to print off a paper returns sheet and pay for postage. Most other websites just do this all online these days.

Customer service like no other – What a fabulous website & they know what customer service is. I am surprised because I have had some terrible experiences but The Upside is the best & others need to take note. Very professional.
