Thermann X Split Heat Pump

We are completely off grid, and this system has been brilliant so far! December marks two years in our new house, and despite my partner’s best efforts, we have never run out of hot water yet! Our solar system consists of 42 panels and 2 lithium batteries, and even on dreary old days it keeps up with the system well. My hair super light blond hair showed some copper deposits from the water, so I contacted Reece about that. They put me in contact with their water specialist who called me straight away, asked all the right questions and came up with a great plan for me straight away. Super happy with the service and the system!

So far so good – This is the Reece Plumbing version of the Stiebel WWK 302 - with "added extra's". It was installed as a replacement for an old element hot water service we had and recommended by the builder - after all, he has one, and he did when I had to pop to his place, which was a happy surprise. He raved about it. I agreed with hesitation as I was prepared to save for the Sanden version worth more than twice - as it had the 316SS tank. After 1 hour of operation, that water was already warm, and so far the compressor unit is very quiet. It was at tempterature that night, perhaps 4 hours later. Hard to compare the sound with other sounds as I've only noticed the sound by standing in front of it, but we have a bedroom window a second story above where it's installed and I haven't noticed it at all.

So far I recommend.

Running perfectly fine. And we don't notice the fan noise anymore. No buyers remorse here.
