I just had recently had a Thermastore Heatwave 270 installed and overall the experience has been very positive. The unit itself has been excellent so far. It heats water efficiently and we’ve noticed a drop in electricity usage compared to our old system. It’s also quieter than expected and keeps up well with household demand. The different operating modes are a nice touch, especially when trying to optimise around solar usage.
Customer support was smooth and responsive throughout. Communication was clear from the initial enquiry through to scheduling, and any questions I had were answered promptly.
Installation and commissioning were handled professionally. The installers arrived on time, completed the job neatly, and took the time to explain how the system works and how to get the most out of it. Everything was up and running without issues.
Overall, I’d recommend the Thermastore Heatwave 270 to anyone looking for an efficient and reliable hot water upgrade.

Completely satisfied with the service, the installation that was conducted - on time, clean and meticulous. The communication - second to nine. The unit performance - easy to use and program, quiet operation, reaching set temperature target efficiently and very quickly. Savings - yet to be accurately determined, however, from what I have.briefly observed and recorded, I believe the 70 - 75% saving is very achievable. Thank you Lachlan and the crew from Adept Plumbing for looking after us.
Follow-up · The system has exeeded our expectaions! Efficient, quiet, saving electricity to the MAX!. We have gone from 15 and 16 Kw per day to 4 and 5's, amazing. We had solar at our previous home, but this is.....the next level. Don't have to worrie about boosting on cloudy days any more! Timer is set from 10am - 4pm. The unit has never run more than 2hrs (when bottom of tank was under 40 degrees cel). Normally in 1 and 1/2 - 2hrs it has reached 62 degrees. We are in QLD, but we have had quite a few cloudy/rainy days, No issues, we always have hot water. Even if you require showers in the morning, no problem, top of the tank is always above 50 degrees (even with 4 adults in the house - not inclueding prolonged showers). Very Pleased. Cheers.
