This website is a fraud. I purchased a book online only to find that they do not reply to emails or easily contactable. Do not purchase anything from this site. Show details

Awful Neil De Grasse Tyson experience – ThinkInc organised a Neil De Grasse Tyson tour in Aucklands North shore, tickets were overpriced and what eventuated was a glorified book tour which was poorly organised and just had an amateur setup. The show was delayed due to incompetent staff unable to get the gear working correctly and then the host selected was just awful, asking stupid question and avoiding ones the crowd would rather here. Just avoid anything by these guys.

Failure to refund ticket for cancelled event – I booked 2 tickets for an online speaker event due to take place in May. I was notified by Thinkinc that it was cancelled and would be receiving a refund. I have not received the refund, and have been trying to contact by email - and also through Humantix how were the event ticket seller - for 5 months, and apart from one short email from a… Read more

info@thinkinc.org.au customer service rep (no name) that would escalate to the manager (never heard from them again) I've had no response. I can see online that many others have this experience. I've complained to Humantix and to the Office of Fair Trading. There is no contact information on the Thinkinc site.

Do NOT give these guys your money! – I purchased tickets from these guys for an event earlier in the year. They cancelled the event and said they would work on refunding tickets. Months later and I haven't heard anything. They have no phone numbers to speak with anyone. They do not respond to any emails made. From similar complaints made I can see this is not a one-off occurrence.… Read more

They claim to be an ethical and progressive organisation, yet that appears to be lip service. I have followed this up with the Office of Fair Trading and I would suggest anyone else having difficulties do the same. I have no doubt they are aware of their actions. To anyone thinking of organising an event with them, DON'T! You will just tarnish your name.

Ripped off - avoid – I purchased 6 copies of a book and received 1 copy after 2 months of waiting. I have sent 6 emails and received no responses. It has been over 3 months and I am still awaiting my 5 other copies. Please do yourself a favour and avoid them like the plaque - you will receive no responses.

Unable to contact – Placed an online order and received order confirmation via email. One month later, no response to my emails and phone call asking for expected delivery date. Completely ignoring my request for information. Looks like I will have to take this to Office of Fair Trading. Very disappointing.

TERRIBLE – Purchased tickets in March for $300+, received a confirmation but not tickets. Noticed that Ticketek also started to sell tickets for the same event a few weeks later, but with the venue announced. Thought I would email Think to ask for my tickets. Was sent a placeholder, and "NOT MY ACTUAL TICKETS". I emailed them multiple times in the months… Read more

leading up asking where my tickets were. They assured me that Ticketek would send them closer to the date. I asked them for a Ticketek reference number, and they sent me my THINK order reference which frankly were just fluff sent to pacify.

I asked them a few days prior where my tickets were, told they were "on their way". Emailed again on the day asking where my tickets were. Was told they’d follow up and didn’t get back to me. No tickets were sent. No follow up was provided.

Obviously the event happened, and I didn't go as I had already incurred enough expenses and wasted enough time for a show I realised I probably wasn't going to see. I didn't get any email back about my tickets. I didn't get anything acknowledging they didn't come. I didn't get anything acknowledging that I wasn't able to attend, no apologies, no offers for a refund. Radio silence from Think inc. I look on their social media, I realise there are heaps of people in the same boat.

A week goes by, and I realised that nothing is going to be followed up. So I asked for a refund. I am told I will be passed over to a “head manager”. I don't understand? You obviously know about the problem, why can't you just process the refunds and send an apology explaining your grand mess up. It happens. People understand when it happens and can forgive easily when a speedy resolution is provided. But they don't like being disrespected, ignored entirely and palmed off.

Why has the onus been on me to chase this up when I purchased these tickets MONTHS ago? I purchased flights to come to Sydney for it. I spent the whole day wondering if I would go or not, awaiting a response from THINK INC that never came. Interest has incurred on my credit card. I love [Name Removed], I am a lifelong fan. And now all I have is a bad taste in my mouth over the whole experience, which is a huge shame because I have attended many of THINK's events and am always a fan of the minds that they platform. But a complete lack of respect for their customers (including mass promotion of discounted tickets in the lead up to the event when I know MANY of us still hadn’t received our tickets and were enquiring about them) means I will never attend or recommend your events again.

I am OVER thinking about it!!! I just wish I never bought them! So much wasted energy for something that was supposed to just be filled with joy.

Terrible experience with ThinkInc – Non-existent customer service. From another user, I can see a previous 1 star review from June has been removed- not on here anymore but comes up in google search results. Booked and paid for tickets 4 months prior to event. Day of event- still no tickets. Can't get a hold of anyone for last 24 hours of constant trying. Show details

Warning! Do not pre-purchase tickets from this website – This review is on my experience on pre-purchasing a ticket directly from Think Inc’s website. This is the sequence of events that occurred. On the 23rd February 2023, ThinkInc sent out a newsletter email that tickets to the Neil deGrass Tyson show on Cosmic Perspectives on Civilisation in Sydney was available for Pre-Purchase from their website.… Read more

The email stated that there an option for those who couldn’t wait till the pre-sale opens. The tickets could be pre-purchased from their online shop and I did just that for a meet and greet option which is AU$568.10 for two. Excited for the event, I waited patiently for my ticket.

Facebook Messenger

9th of March 2023. I noticed that Ticketek has started selling their tickets on their website. I decided to follow up with ThinkInc on the status of my ticket. They have responded that the tickets will be emailed to me by the following week. I followed up if I could select my seats as at the time I could see the seats options that were automatically pre-selected on Ticketek website when you order Ticketek website. These were front row when it was first available. ThinkInc responded noting that the seats will be automatically allocated, and stated since I’ve pre-purchased the ticket, I will be guaranteed the best seats in the house. I have asked is there a way to ensure that I could secure front row seats due to my height and stature. If they couldn’t, I asked if I could get a refund because I could secure front row seats on Ticketek then. This was met with silence. I note their website states they do not provide refunds.

ThinkInc WebChat System

14th of March 2023, I reached out since I wasn’t getting responses on their Facebook Messenger, through their web chat system, but querying the same thing since they’ve gone silent on Facebook Messenger. I was informed the same thing stating the tickets will be emailed to me soon (latest by the following week).

Facebook Messenger

15th of March, as this was nearly a week since they would be emailing my ticket. I’ve followed up and still met with silence.

Email

16th of March 2023, ThinkInc sent an email, stated previously, but to my disappointment, they’ve only sent a placeholder and not the actual ticket. If I were to purchase this from Ticketek, I would have the ticket secured on the app. I gave them the benefit of doubt. The email stated that my tickets will be sent by Ticketek closer to the date. 10th of May 2023, I reached out to ThinkInc, wondering if I am getting my ticket since what I received was only a placeholder. Its only 2 months left to the event and still no word. The meet and greet tickets were running out and I have not been issued a formal ticket. They responded that the event uses Ticketek as ticketing providers and they will send me my tickets. They note that I have been waiting a while but mentioned that they don’t usually issue tickets until a time much closer to the event. They advised that I should get in touch with them about the timeframe on receiving my tickets. I emailed Ticketek and only to be advised the following: “We are unable to confirm the validity of any ticket not purchased directly from Ticketek or Ticketek Market place. Ticketek does not recommend purchasing a ticket from an unauthorised ticket seller, such as Ticketmaster resale, Ticket Merchant, Viagogo, eBay, Queen of Tickets, Stubhub or Gumtree as examples. Individuals who buy though these methods do so at their own risk as you may not gain entry into the event. If you have purchased from an unauthorised seller you will need to raise your inquiry directly with that company.” 12th of May 2023. I followed up with ThinkInc again on the status of my ticket. This was met with silence.

Linkedin 12th of May 2023. I messaged the Owner and Director of ThinkInc through Linkedin. Expressing that I had reached out and exhausting all options but met with silence. I have also mentioned I will leave a negative review if I haven’t heard from them.

6th of June 2023 (1 month 1 day from event). Followed up with ThinkInc via webchat, Facebook, Instagram, and also emailed the Director and Owner with attachments of emails, documents and proof of purchase. I am still met with silence. I lodged a complaint to ACCC with all the relevant information, email trails, chat logs and proof of purchase. I don’t know if I will ever get my tickets or even a refund from ThinkInc. I wouldn’t recommend pre-purchasing this from their website. Save yourself the headache and heartache. Just be patient and wait to purchase tickets directly from Ticketek.

TLDR Pre-purchased Meet and Greet tickets from ThinkInc website before official sale on Ticketek website. Poor response rate from ThinkInc. Have not received Tickets apart from a digital placeholder document that could not be used at ticketek.
