Would give a 0 if I could – Extremely unprofessional and did not provide me with the cancellation/refund policy when I asked for it. Then when I needed to refund, they did not allow it. Administrative Tribunal). I won with NCAT ruling against Where Do You Wanna Go and ordering them to repay my fee less the 10% as per the Terms and Conditions listed on the site at the time. Guess what, the owner of the business REFUSES TO PAY and has stated to me personally that he is folding the company! Would you trust the owner with your money?

conditions since we made the booking. When we paid our deposit we knew that if we couldn't travel due to Covid then we would get a 90% refund, which we were comfortable with. After numerous emails and unanswered phone calls to Thredbo.com, they finally replied stating that they would only refund 70%. Their correspondence was rude, arrogant and incorrect. They said that the accommodation was still accessible, except for those in lockdown (which we were as we live in Sydney). He said as it's still accessible to most then they will only give us a 70% refund instead of 90% unless the entire state is in lockdown which we will then receive our 90%. UPDATE: With the announcement of the entire state going into lockdown they have said they will provide us with a 90% refund, although it should not have come to this.

give us any refund after we rejected their Without Prejudice offer of only 70% and this man ignored our other emails requesting the 90% refund. We reported them to the ACCC and then commenced legal action by filing a Statement of Claim at a Sydney local court against this man, his company, and the actual owner of the apartment (which I discovered through a lot of detective work). While the man running this company still refused to engage with us, I managed to speak to one of the owners who was not aware of their agent's appalling behavior. The owners were very decent people who did not want us to proceed with legal action so liaised with him to get him to pay us the 70% and they provided the other 20%. We will never book with him again but a warning to anyone else to check his T & Cs carefully. Last time we looked, he'd changed them to say he would not accept a cancellation via email or phone so you could only write to him at "the address below" for which there was none!

Dishonest, misleading and unfair treatment - do not use – Also, very similar experience as the other reviews here. They refuse to honour their own T&Cs. I will lodge a complaint with fair trading. They were very rude and dismissive of me too. Had booked for July and again in September but can not travel due to COVID restrictions. No refund at all on July booking and still waiting on response for September booking. Any suggestions on approach / experience with Fair Trading welcome.  Show details

accommodation and requested a 90% refund as per their Terms and Conditions which are clearly advertised on their website. It states "Accommodation booked that is unable to be accessed through COVID restrictions, a full refund less 10%." However, they are refusing to honour their Cancellation policy and won't provide any refund. The email replies to us were dismissive and fabricated. The website is still advertising that you can get a refund for Covid cancellations when in fact they are refusing to give refunds so we have reported this to the ACCC so hopefully others won’t lose money believing this. We will be taking legal action to try to recover some of our money.

Avoid booking accommodation via thredbo.com – In 2019 we booked a week stay in Cedar Creek 2 chalet at Thredbo for August 2020. The booking agent was Discover Thredbo (Where do you Wanna Go Pty Ltd). compensation, credit or work with us in any way to come to a solution. Their attitude was basically that they didn’t care about our situation. Some of their communication was so unprofessional – e.g. not identifying themselves – I wondered if it was actually a legitimate business or not.

Most other accommodation providers offered full refund or at least a credit for customers in our position. If considering a trip to Thredbo in future I suggest you stay away from Discover Thredbo / Thredbo.com

As mentioned earlier, the agent that took our money is completely separate to Thredbo.com.au (who run the resort lifts etc and who actually gave us a full refund for lift tickets).
