Emily Routley was awesome, she helped us organise our colour selections for Masterton. Her knowledge was refreshing and helpful on our flooring and tiles. She has gotten our amendments back within record time, and I thank her for this.

Had Thynk do all our flooring. Bathroom wall tiles in both bathrooms are falling off. Tiles are not square to any of the walls, grout missing, laminate flooring is all floating above the floor in a heap of places. Carpets not cut and finished correctly. Selected carpets not the same as the show room samples at all. And the best part of all of it was this was done 2 years ago and they don’t want to fix any of it.

I used Thynk for my tile selections with Hayley Doonar. There were two mistakes made. One the bathroom tile in the master is not the correct color, it was white instead of pink. I got notified when my tiling is nearing schedule as the tile (white) is not available. So I had to go to their site in Newcastle to select another tile option. It… Read more

is a good thing I went there and white is not available, or else they would have put white tiles in the bathroom when the photo evidence took during selection is pink!

Another mistake is map/design does not match the invoice after the amendment I made. I changed the feature wall in the main bathroom, the design got changed but some of it did not get translated to the invoice. Unfortunately for me, I missed this in the invoice.

However, overall I am happy with how my bathroom tiles look. It's really a good thing that the white tile is not available... I wouldn't have known the mistake.

I have been waiting over a year to get defects fixed. Three different people from Thynk have inspected and agree there are issues. Overpriced, terrible products and service.

STAY AWAY FROM THYNK TILING! – DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY FOR TILING!!! They laid tiles in our new house build in Goulburn . They took 3 months to complete the tiling, laid wrong tiles, laid tiles incorrectly and didn’t tile to Australian Standards. Ended up in a screaming match on site with the State Manager who is an arrogant tosser. If your builder uses Thynk tiling, demand they use another tiler, or get another builder!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR TILING – Avoid these people tiling your house at all costs. Tilers are normally in and out within 1-2 weeks on a normal house build. These tilers have now been on our Mincove build for 8 weeks, holding the entire build up and pushing up our handover date by a month, at this stage. They put the wrong tiles down in our laundry. They did not put under tile… Read more

heating in prior to laying tile bed in 2 wet areas, and tiling the floor in one, even though the electrical was there for the under tile heating, they just laid the bed and tiles around the wire. And today, they had 5 tilers on out site, and maybe laid 50 tiles in total. What an absolute joke!

Do not use these people to tile your house build. If your builder uses them, show them this review and get another tiler!

Office staff are great. Tilers are terrible.

Our build is in Goulburn.

Albion park- Goulburn – I built my home through MINCOVE homes who uses this company. After issues with the property and through rectification order, it was discovered tiles were not installed properly with lack of expansion joints and blob glued, proposed works was to cut down and use wall tiles on my floor and $1000 to agree, when I disagreed a tile was picked without… Read more

consultation with me, this tile does not match the other wet areas. Trades let them self through my side gate and used the back door to gain access to my home without permission, (it was unlocked due to it being a construction zone, I lived in the home but couldn’t access that area for safety reasons) mind you this all occurred after the trades were more than 2 hours late for their booked appointment and emailed not to enter prior to contact. trades have a lack of supervision and drag out work this is evident by incomplete work, I am still waiting for seals around bath and showers. I do have to say, the customer service at selections was amazing with a wide range of options to choose from, it is unfortunate the level of service, care and attention to details is not maintained in all areas of the company.

Cant complain, now that its over – We had a couple of major issues with Thynk during our build, that caused unnecessary delays & stress. The dispute was resolved after negotiations involving the builder. Very expensive
