fluppy and comfy - European pillow 65 cm x 65 cm – At first, I was hesitant to take this pillow because I thought I would not find the right pillowcase. I found some good ones in Kmart. Thanks to Jed of My House for the help.
Purchased in for $49.

Incredibly poor quality – I've been using Tontine pillows for most of my life, but it seems like every time I buy replacements, the quality gets worse and worse. Tonight, upon opening a brand new 2-pack of the Allergy Sensitive Firm pillows, I discovered that one pillow already had a burst seam (about 10cm long), straight out of the bag. After inspecting the second pillow and finding no gaping holes in it, I tried to carefully remove the extremely stiff, loudly crinkly and ludicrously oversized (13cm wide) plastic product care tag.
Friends, be warned; they sew that horrid plastic tag directly into the 2mm-wide overlocked seam of the pillow. A seam so thin and flimsy that it can - and did - burst before a head even rested upon it.
So now I have 2 new pillows, neither of which has been used, with a massive hole in them - and one still has the tag intact, which means it'll soon have TWO holes that I will need to mend by hand before I can use it!
I'm so disappointed in the drop in quality that this brand has gone through in recent years. I shouldn't have to save up funds just to be able to buy a decent, fully intact pillow: not everyone can afford to buy brands like Sheridan or Dri Glo all the time. Tontine used to be of a reliable quality, but the cost-cutting is quite clear now.
