Hi, my Hilux workmate 2011 ute was losing power driving on the hwy today - also seem to have a miss in it ( spluttering and jerking ). Really struggled to get it home - just had a 66,000 Service done a week ago was running fine before the service. Orange engine light came on aswell. Feeling very upset as I only purchased it a few months ago and took me so long to save the money for it. Anyone have any suggestions on the problem?? Thanks from a very worried cleaner lady.

Go talk to a tyre dealer as fitting 16" wheels might mean you have to change tyres as well. If you change wheels and tyres you shouldn't change the rolling circumference. you also need to get the right stud pattern and offset. David
Going from a 15inch to 16 inch will be fine. You will of course have to change from 15 to 16inch tyres and unless you want to increase the Gearing try and stay with the same overall height tyre. Going to a taller tyre 31 to 32 inch for example will alter the gearing slightly but not a lot. Going to a 33 Inch will probably require some inner guard modifications and possibly a 2inch lift kit installing.
Best oil for Diesel engine?
I have just been reading up on oils this week. Some interesting articles on Oil Misting for lower grade oils. I have used Penzoil in the past with great success (Never in a new engine though as the oil is that good that it can glaze the bores).
When your engines hot remove (carefully) the oil filler cap. If there is an oily mist inside your oils breaking down, time to change.
