Very enjoyable tour – I went on Exploration of the Kimberley, Kakadu & Katherine last July and was very pleasantly surprised after reading so many negative reviews. This tour was competitively priced and I consider it was good value. Our tour manager Margo contributed in no small part to our enjoyment of the tour, especially when I was "indisposed" on one occasion. She… Read more · 1
was attentive and unfailingly considerate. My contact with the office was minimal but my queries were dealt with promptly. On a final note, accommodation in a couple of places was disappointing but the itinerary clearly stated the 3 and 3 1/2 star rating so no surprises there. I wouldn't hesitate to give them another go as the tour met my expectations.
Beware! Don't deal with them – Took my $500 deposit for one tour. Fully booked. Transferred to another. Now won't return it. Show details
Lack of care – We travelled by bus with Travelrite in April 2022 within Australia and contracted Covid. This company left us in Queensland in our hotel room and drove off without so much as a courtesy phone call to check on our welfare. Were it not for the Salvos who picked us up a click and collect order from a supermarket we would have been in difficulties.… Read more
No refund for our two missed nights and breakfasts has been given despite repeated requests. The complete lack of care shown to two very senior citizens was appalling.
Not worth the money – When you pay for a guided tour you expect a certain level of service. Our tour manager acted as if she was a guest and provided conflicting and inconsistent information to tour members. Its a bad look when the tour manager runs to the front of the queue for dinner ahead of paying guests. The driver/guide had no personal skills and even stated… Read more
when asked why he didn't do regular tours any more that it was because he didn't like tourists. Very disappointing. This was the Senior outback tour of Australia conducted in Sep 22. All 22 guests on the tour were seasoned travellers and discussion with them regarding the issues raised above met with the same opinions.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY – Booked a trip to South Africa for my wife and I, fully paid for $13000 plus dollars, cancelled by company 1 week prior to departure, no refund, monies held in credit, after many many months, including resorting to getting legal advice finally received $3800 back, told this was all they would give and met Govt guidelines for the Industry. They are… Read more
very unhelpful, take your money and don’t care about your financial situation, no compassion and very abrupt, have heard nothing else from this company since Sept 21 and yet they still have $10000 of our money. NEVER EVER CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY!!!!
Lies about Cancellation fees – I was a client with Travelrite Balwyn Melbourne for over 25 years, they have received a lot of commission in that time, > I had booked to go to Japan on 28th March 2020, at a total cost $10,868, however due to COVID-19 the tour company Trafalgar and Singapore airline both cancelled my travel arrangements, my Travelrite travel agent had advised… Read more
me that if an airline or tour company cancels your travel arrangements, “you will get a refund in full”.
> I directly contacted both companies and was told that the cancellation fees that I have been charged are the commission that the travel agent receives from the bookings, and that they had already refunded all the monies in full to Travelrite, minus the $1900 commission which they already held.
Contrary to this I have been charged by my travel agent $1000 cancellation fee for my Singapore B/C flights and $900 cancellation fee for my Trafalgar tour
I was led to believe that these cancellation fees were being charged directly by the airline and the tour company……… How Dishonest! ……. Travelrite has refused to refund the $1900 cancellation fees
If I could give this company no stars I would ... avoid using them it is not worth it – Hi. My parents were on a tour which was effected by CONVID-19 to the Northern Lights, after leaving australia, arriving in the UK, commencing the cruise to Norway the ship was turned around and sent back to the UK. I contacted the office to see what was occurring with the alternate travel arrangements back to Australia and was informed that it… Read more
wasn't a high priority as they had return flights the next week. After paying for a full new return fare to Australia I had to contact their original airline and preserve their credit as they failed to do so. After four weeks at home no one has contacted my parents to see if they are well or to confirm what is happening with their refund from the cruise line or what is happening with their airline credit. Unless you chase them up to find out information they do not want to contact you or care about your well being.
Just take your money – We paid $2000.- deposit for a cruise and 6 mths. Prior to departure wished to change trip to different date same shipping company so only requested transfer of part of deposit as we understand commissions have to be paid. But they are not interested in customer service.
