Great travel agent – Travel scene Beaumaris . Staff are wonderful and always very attentive and quick.We always get very attractive prices for our holidays and very accurate information. If I send an email query the reply is almost instant.Where ever we want to go several of the staff have been there so we have up to date and personal information. Very quick,friendly and accurate.

setting up a payment plan for any added expenses my changes incurred. Our itinerary arrived two weeks before the trip and included a spare copy. It was wonderfully detailed and included contact information for every transfer service, hotel, and activity. Their package price saved us a bit of money as well (I did the math on that). Local Travelscene agent is excellent - never tried on- line – I have been using Travelscene Kiama for many years despite being located myself in Sydney. The service is brilliant. Each of the staff seem to have a special knowledge - so say, I want to book for Bali or some surfing holiday they put me to the manager who is extremely knowledgeable. remember last name!) I have recommended this agency to people all over the country who now use them and are very happy with the service. I once had an issue with a cancelled flight whilst I was in Singapore and despite it being a strange time in NSW the owner (Sue) who was at home having dinner, immediately sorted it out for me. Unlike some of the other agencies I have used they check you have everything in order before they finalise the booking...so there is no getting caught going into the US with not enough time on your passport for instance ...that would never happen with this agency..they are fussy about things like that. The personal service and the way they listen to what you want and come up with suggestions for making it more enjoyable some times the phone is busy and it takes a bit of time getting on to them

decide to go earlier on the 17th, ask to get accommodation etc,, • 21/7/09 come in to pay for China visa and, extra pays re tickets and accommodation, her computer was down. <br />• 21/7/09 lucky we were there as we get given new schedule for cruise, d/d 3/7/09 <br />• Have asked about courtesy bus from A/Port to hotel, no reply, I send e-mail to find out myself from hotel <br />• FINAL STRAW 10/8/09 ( we sail on the 19/9/09 )realize we have had NOTHING given to us about booking trips off the cruise, no books nothing, then I contact princess cruise line and ask, they give me instructions how I go about this over the internet, I phoned asking , she gives me a booking number, • Then I try and go onto the web site as I am in the middle of this , rings me BACK ,• But wait, why does she ring me back, because she gave me the wrong booking number, it’s the booking number from the 1st cruise we booked in 2005. • Then I go on to the web site too look and the trips I want are waitlisted. • Then to top it of , I can’t do any thing with this booking number, as its done with a travel agent, on the Princess webs site, as believe it or not SHE IS REGISTERED AS OUR TRAVEL AGENT AND I HAVE TO BOOK WITH HER,I CAN’T BOOK THEM. • FRUSTRATED IN NOT THE WORD,. Terrible – These guys took our money, then increased the price while we were paying for the holiday. Due to circumstances beyond our control we had to cancel our original trip and organise a new one. excessive fees, all because they had our money. Needless to say we are contesting this and it has yet to be resolved. Consumer affairs tried to help and we now have an appointment with VCAT to get this resolved.
If you have no choice but to deal with Travelscene make sure you..... no, just dont deal with them.
If you are not computer literate or feel unsure about organising a holiday online get some 10 year old kid to do it for you - they will do a better job!
Incompetent and deceptive
Rude and Sarcastic! – We received an email about an overseas offer and sent a request for further information with the promise of a reply, after 3 days and no reply, we decided to go into the office because we happened to be in Margate. expressed her annoyance that we were interrupting and continued her conversation for a good 2-3mins before hanging up.
We asked about the email with the special offer and because she had no idea what we were talking about she decided she had to go through everything in her 'sent' items, and snapped at my partner when he offered to give her the web link, instead we sat and waited 40mins for her to try and find it. When she finally rang the company that was offering the deal, she was extremely rude and short with us and the person on the other end of the phone.
Finally, when we believe we had some of the information we were inquiring about (1.5hrs later) it was now almost 5pm, as we were getting up from our seats to leave she said to us "if next time you THINK you might just want to just pop, just make an appointment because it's 5pm now and i've got phone calls to make, I didn't have time for this".
Our whole encounter with this woman was totally disgusting and unprofessional! She constantly rolled her eyes and acted as though we were just a total inconvenience! and even though the overseas trip offer was something that appealed to us, we were quick to discard it because we could never bring ourselves to book a holiday with that woman and Redcliffe TravelScene That we hadn't invested any money into a trip with them!! Rude, condescending, short, unprofessional
Terrible – Terrible customer service. Needless to say, I didn't go back and booked my trip to Asia through a different travel agency. The shop front presented well. Staff were specialised and no one was available to help me plan my trip to Asia. I was told the "Asia" person was away and that the other staff present "don't do Asia". They could have offered to at least take my details.
