Out of business? – I too have pre ordered and paid. Received no delivery. I have tried phoning them - no answer - emailed them - no response. Website down - yep gone out of business. Any suggestions on what I can do to retrieve any monies owed?
Where is Trim-a-Weigh? – Funny that my wife has paid monies but no delivery last week and they will not answer calls and the website is 'temporarily unavailable.' Wonder if they have done a runner with everyone's money. Has anyone beem able to contact them in the past few weeks?
Customer Service is a joke – Had meals delivered twice second time driver didn't bother trying to find my cabin left food in the office left all instructions on paper work , All the frozen food had melted called company they blamed the courier said they are going to look into it STILL WAITING .
Not a good choice: Trim A Weigh – We have used Trim A Weigh as a couple and cannot recommend it (the QLD company). We used a voucher, so got a good price, however, for the food delivered, it was just ok, definitely not more. Coming from healthy, home-cooked meals it was quite a difference to the certainly convenient, however ever-the-same-tasting frozen meals. The veggies are the… Read more
always the same, watery, tasteless combination, we could not see anymore after a few days. The brekkies and lunches are packaged, processed foods, we would not buy otherwise. The salads were mostly fresh. The difference between the 1000 and higher calorie options are solely the amount of snacks involved. The snacks are packaged, mostly highly processed foods like cookies and sugarbars (e.g. OT mueslibars with 25% sugar), which are not part of a healthy diet. So far the food. The food was fantastic compared to the extremely bad customer service. I had to wait for my first order for over a week, since they claimed to not have received my email. We had four weeks each. Every week a new order is created, where the calorie option and meals are selected. Not on the deal website nor on the trim a weigh website it says that it is not possible to change the calorie option. So I changed the calorie option after the first week, the new order was confirmed and the invoice showed the selected option. The delivery was still the lower calorie option and also contained rotten fruit. Asking customer service, I was given a rude response by a service person (which actually was the owner) providing doubtful information that "This was how it works" once the calorie option had been chosen, it couldn't be changed in the system (quite unlikely). He was not able to show where this information would be visible. The owner was not willing to change this at all, persisting on keeping the few extra snacks, and did not respond why his company would confirm and then not honour their confirmation?? This is very bad business practice. I feel a bit sorry for the complete lack of customer service skills, which would help to compete against good companies in the same industry like lite'n easy with good food on offer and who actually care about their customers, as they understand that their customers are the reason why they are in business. Not sure about this with trim-a-weigh. I can only recommend to stay away from trim-a-weigh, it's not worth it.
Low quality food and very poor customer service – Salads were either half frozen or going off. Vegetables are the same low quality frozen watery things in every meal, no variety. Snacks are average and when I sent my list of issues to them and asked for a refund of my remaining weeks they NEVER replied. My husband had to call them to find out they weren't going to refund. Worst customer service… Read more
and food I've had in a long time. I've used Lite n Easy before and they are WAY better, and also more user friendly with knowing what meals and items to eat on each day, etc.
quality of food to start with, but also the ordering system and poor service.
Trim A Weigh – ordered in Qld on a 7 week special (pay 4 3 free) 1200 cal. the food is not as good a Lite N Easy, but I am happy enough. Portions are a nice size, the snacks are ordinary, I prefer that I can choose the whole menu, not just choice of 2 each day. Lots more vegetarian options. Meals come in plastic, so having no microwave, I need to… Read more
transfer them to an oven dish, but the quality heated is much better than LnE which I found watery, and there is always much more vegies in the Trim A Weigh. A nice range of fruit, which comes in a bag altogether, meaning I can choose what to take what day, so it can be ripe and also got a BANANA! I find the salads really huge and only order 1 each week, as I get bored trying to eat a whole bowl of grass two days in a row, but I did find it lasted beyond the 3 days anyway.
I missed the order by a few hours, and when I called the next morning, they where packing it and it still arrived. The lady on the phone was pleasant. The delivery guy gave me a call when he found my garage locked and made alternate drop off. I do find the ordering online confusing the first few times.
I am happy enough considering I am paying only $75 a week. Sign up to the maillist to get the specials. choice of whole menu - specials bring cost right down - gluten free and vegetarian options snacks - meals need to be transferred to dish to heat in oven
Appalling!!! Never use them! – Having ordered a week of food and payment being taken from my account I was left with no food delivery. Having called and e-mailed them several times there was still no follow up, no nothing. Finally getting in touch they told me they would refund my money which took some time. Once the refund came through they kept $20 for themselves due to… Read more
'admin fees'. Expecting me to pay for their error! Upon finding this out I called to discuss this and spoke to the rudest lady who had no time at all for what I had to say and could not care less about what had happened or fully refunding my money! She then went on to tell me that she was the owner! What a disgrace of a company and appalling customer service. Never use this company as they clearly do not care about the customer.
Never experienced such rude customer and from the 'owner'
Worst Customer Service ever – I used this program for the past 7 weeks at a total cost to me of over $600. I started out on the 1000 calorie per day plan, and for the last 4 weeks have been on 1200 calories per day in an effort to stop my metabolism from going into starvation mode. I suffer badly with osteoarthritis and am waiting on a total hip replacement. My surgeon wants… Read more
me to lose weight before he lists the operation. Can you imagine my surprise when I was weighed yesterday, for the first time since starting Trim A Weigh, and weighed 300grams MORE than before. I religiously stuck to the program. Eating only the meals provided, while cooking for my family and watching them enjoy take away on occasion. I called the business today and was astounded at the rudeness of the man, Darren, who answered the phone. When I requested some form of refund because the program did not perform as the website claims he flatly refused and also refused to continue the conversation any further. I then attempted to post a review on the company's Facebook page only to realise that I had been blocked from doing so. When I called Darren back to ask about why I had been blocked from commenting on the Facebook page, he hung up on me without warning. WORST business service I have ever encountered. Surely if they were concerned about their customers satisfaction they would try to come to some arrangement to keep me happy. Instead he hung up on me. I used this company because I had had success with them once before, many years ago, but obviously a lot of things have changed since then. Even with my limited mobility, I manage to clean my house daily so do get some form of exercise. I went from eating take away, chocolate and junk food, to 1000 to 1200 calories ONLY per day and gained weight... How can this be possible?? The website claims one thing and that is that people will lose weight but the program failed to deliver on that promise. The terrible customer service on top of that is what really prompted me to write this anti rec. convenience of pre made meals was good. Didn't perform as promised. I did not lose weight even though I stuck to the program. When I discussed this with the staff member he was rude, bordering on offensive and refused to continue the discussion when I raised the topic off a possible part refund.
Excellent! Food, service, price - everything! Love it! – I received my first order last week and couldn't be happier! I read all the bad reviews but still decided to give Trim-A-Weigh the benefit of the doubt and I'm so glad I did! I've done Lite N Easy before and found it to be really good but this honestly is excellent! The food is packaged so well, every meal (including breakfast & lunch) comes in an… Read more
individual container so it's easy to store and arrange your meals. The food is great quality and they have even thought about the little things - like boiling the hard boiled eggs for you! The service I received was amazing, my initial enquiry was over the phone and the gentleman I spoke to was so friendly and helpful! I had accidentally submitted two orders and my card declined and they were so efficient with checking and confirming everything. The value for money with the prepurchased package specials is so good, it works out to be $80-90 a week for 1200 calorie - SO much cheaper than lite n easy! I honestly don't have a bad word to say about Trim A Weigh, I'm so happy to have found them! Give it a try! Great value for money, excellent service, good quality food and great packaging!
Picture doesnt paint a thousand words – Our family recently signed up to give it a go. We had tried Lite n Easy previously, but thought we would give an another company a go. Big Mistake! The food you see pictured on their website, bares no resemblence to what you actually get. I think even hospital food or airline food would be better. The breakfasts and lunches were okay but the… Read more
evening meals were mush. I did write an email to the company and their response was indicitive of a company that really doesnt give a [censored word removed]. I appreciate that diet food doesnt mean that you get meals with big chunky stakes etc, but when you effectively get baby food and the vegetables are so soggy, you have to wonder. Trim a weigh, trimmed my wallet and my taste buds.
Disappointed – Ordered using a voucher and it was pretty ok. The guy was however really helpful, and responded very quickly to all queries. I was so impressed by his service I signed up for another 4 weeks paying in full. Bad mistake!! Unfortunately standard dropped straight after. Apparently guy went on vacation and left some nasty unprofessional lady in… Read more
charge. She doesn't know how to speak on the phone (rudest ever!!!) Esp when I called to complain about all the rotten fruit she sent me!!! Unbelievable they sent bruised and rotten fruit to a full paying customer. She told me she was too busy to deal with my complaint as she has other new orders to pack and then she hung up!!! (Obviously too busy stocking orders with her rotten fruit) Never been so offended in my life. Cancelled the rest of my order with penalty when the polite guy finally returned and gave me a call. I didn't want to stay subscribe as I worry what 'extra delights' that evil lady might pack in my next order.
Unprofessional staff, rotten fruit
If only – I have had Trim-A-Weigh for a couple of months, always struggled with the fresh meals, never lasted pasted 2 days so eating a salad is just not going to happen, I bought my first through a voucher and then found later I did not receive what I had paid for, the delivery driver is not a welcome sight on any day, The frozen meals have far too much of… Read more
the same vegtables and the variety is very lacking for the seasons. All in all better to pay more and get YouFoodz or Lite-n-Easy. Cheap Customer Services lacks
Trial – Bought a deal on line thought it a good idea for a trial of what the food was like. Have to say I havent had a meal that I could say wow that was great or even good. To me the meals are very bland. I agree with a previous review that there are a lot of preservatives in the main meals & the hot lunches. I dont believe this would be great for your… Read more

From a chefs mouth – As a chef / new mum who's partner that works away I decided to give it a go while I got the hang of bub For something that's ment to help u lose weight there are so many preservatives and things. I was always taught more then 4 ingredients on a packet is a bad thing Although the food wasn't completely horrible tasting.. If didn't taste normal.… Read more

Amazing value for money – Having been in customer service for years, I have nothing but praise for Darren and his team. I recently bought vouchers and screwed up mightily while trying to order online and do my job at same time. Emailed company and back came answer virtually straight away. vinegar" approach, it has always been my experience that works much better than if you come out swinging.
As for the food, it is great value for money and like others found living on my own meant throwing out food on a regular basis and not to mention the ongoing temptation of food shopping after work when you're hungry and resistance is low. Value for money, good plain food prepared well (like skin off pumpkin and non rock hard roast veg) Would like more seasonal specials
Adequate with some pleasant surprises – For a start the delivery has been perfect. We have had a couple of weeks now and of course don't like everything but some of the meals are excellent. Mixed carrot and corn not to my liking but the curried sausages are to die for. I hope that the menu changes or expands but at the moment I am not bored with what's on offer, much better than… Read more · 1
the supermarket offerings. I had some problems in ordering (my fault) but the staff in Brisbane were great.
The owner is down right rude don't buy it's a rip off and he's an arrogant man. Foods Yuk! – Owner is a horrible man no professionalism and he's just an [censored word removed]! Food is disgusting and don't be scammed by him. Meat is yuk. Veges are the same frozen carrots and beans. Tried get refund and as he refused In a rude manner he will get no where in his business. The owner is rude

If you are trying to lose weight you will...this food is inedible! – I was getting lite n easy before I purchased a voucher for Trim-A-Weigh. What a disappointment! Put's you off eating the remaining meals – Have tried Lite n Easy (Good meals - Nice Variety). So seen the add/website for Trim A Weigh - Purchased 10 Dinner meals. Give it a try, much more personal than competitors – I started on Trim-A-Weigh at the beginning of the year after growing sick of Lite & Easy's lack of customer service, poor quality food (missing items & rotten fruit & veg on a daily basis). I foudn them as they were a small local company and seemed more likely to offer decent personal service. I did one week with TAW as a trial and fell in love… Read more · 4

Unlike competitors, they allow you to CHOOSE what to order, not option A or option B, just a list and you pick what you want. If you like something, why not get 7 of them!
Though there isn't a massive range of food, what they have is amazingly nice, and there is enough variety that you can mix and match according to what you feel like. We are having cold, miserable weather at the moment so I am getting alot of the hot lunches; burgers, pastas etc.
Staff are amazing, [name removed] has contacted me several times to find out if I am enjoying the food, and even making personal recommendations on what food he enjoys (So far he has been right!). I have also stuffed up in the past and not clicked enough items and within hours he has contacted me to let me know and find out what else I want.
The fruit & veg are always fresh, there are a great range of delicious snacks, staff are fantastic and I have not yet had a single problem with an order.
They also provide you with tea & coffee (one per day you order) and are happy to provide me with tea only as I don't drink coffee. I never had Lite & Easy willing to offer changes for you!
I would recommend these guys 100%!
Keely Taylor. Good range of meals, get to pick items rather than having options A or B, personal service, reasonable price, local
