I would strongly recommend thinking carefully before relying on Trinity Ford Service Centre for diagnostics or repair recommendations, especially if there is an extended warranty involved. My vehicle developed a performance issue which was diagnosed by Trinity Ford Service Centre as a major fault. After repeated requests for a repair quote and… Read more

prolonged delays on their part, I was eventually provided with a repair pathway involving full replacement of several key components of the vehicle's exhaust and emission control system and engine, at a cost exceeding the vehicle’s market value.

Throughout this process, I experienced significant delays and difficulty obtaining clear information. Requests for a quotation and clarification regarding warranty were initially avoided and then repeatedly delayed. Communication was extremely poor, with phone calls almost always going unanswered, and on one occasion I attended a confirmed booking only to be told staff were unsure why the vehicle had been scheduled and I was sent away without any progress.

After the vehicle was out of action for approximately four months due to delays in getting it booked in and subsequently in obtaining a formal repair quote, I sought an independent diagnostic assessment due to the lack of progress and clarity. The actual cause was identified as a minor ignition-related issue caused by worn components. After replacing these components, the issue was fully resolved.

The total cost of the repair was over 94% lower than the repair pathway proposed by Trinity Auto Group, and the vehicle has been operating normally since. I was also encouraged by the Trinity Ford service manager to consider trading the vehicle in, and advised that proceeding with repairs would be uneconomical. I was further advised that additional charges may apply if I requested a formal quote but did not proceed with repairs.

This experience raises serious concerns about both the diagnostic process and the overall handling of the matter, as well as coordination and communication by the Trinity Ford Service centre. Based on this, I would strongly recommend seeking a second opinion before committing to any major repairs through this service centre and exercising caution when dealing with them.

Lee in Cairns is arrogant and pushing. Very dismissive from start to finish as we just started to look and wouldn’t commit. He is definitely in the wrong industry as lacks customer service skills. Show details

My car went for its 12months service. When bringing it out for pickup they scraped three panels and dinted the body. The Service amanager was rude on the street with no one around to hear. That was 20 days ago, no contact to advise repairs for the damage they incurred and not in compliance with accident timeframes. Seems very fraudulent, difficult to get any response Show details

The level of dishonesty and deception from Trinity Ford sales team is unfathomable especially from [Name Removed] the sales manager. [Name Removed] acted like he was my best mate until money was exchanged then he treated me like a fool. The original salesman who sold me the vehicle resigned days after the paperwork was signed leaving to deal with… Read more

[Name Removed] the sales manager.

I purchased a new Ford Ranger including 15k worth of accessories knowing exactly what I wanted for my new vehicle before entering the dealership. After receiving my new vehicle, I found it was missing tiedown points that were supposed to come with the vehicle. It had standard number plates not the black plates that I ordered and signed for, the vehicle had the wrong colour seat covers installed I ordered BLACK seat covers but the vehicle was handed over with light grey covers, the bull bar was uneven and incorrectly installed by Trinity Ford partially blocking passenger side headlight. The Sales manager [Name Removed] repeatedly told me that my vehicle would be handed over with a full tank of fuel but when I received the vehicle it had just over half a tank of fuel confirming further deception from sales manager.

I raised concerns with [Name Removed] about missing accessories [Name Removed] insinuated I was being dishonest about missing tiedown cleats, [Name Removed] had an aggressive attitude towards me, storming around his office slamming the door behind me so nobody could hear his unsettling angry behaviour, also gaslighting me. [Name Removed] later made accusations that he saw me driving erratically in the loan vehicle whilst he was drinking at the balaclava Tavern but I did not drive that day and I was at home at the alleged time with the loan vehicle parked securely in my garage.

I regret trusting Trinity Ford with the purchase of my First new vehicle as I was treated like a nuisance after the vehicle was paid for and I didn’t get what I ordered. After this horrible experience I will not be taking my vehicle back to Trinity Ford for future servicing or repairs. I strongly advise against buying a vehicle from Trinity Ford but if you decide to buy a vehicle from Trinity Ford be prepared for the dishonesty and unprofessional conduct from sales team.

Booked a capped service for my daughter's car and they added an extra service on top, which we would have had to decline when dropping of the car. Confusing for people (especially for young unexpierenced people and elderly) and should not have been added in the first place. I exoect only to sign off what I booked online and not to cancel extra services when dropping of while being rushed.

Disappointing Experience at Trinity Auto, Cairns – Poor Communication and Customer Service I recently purchased a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Aspire with 2,233 km on the clock from Trinity Auto in Cairns for $44,000. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing and far below what I expected for such a major purchase. Like many… Read more

dealerships, Trinity Auto seemed primarily focused on how much money they could get out of me. Once the payment was made and they had what they wanted, the communication dropped off significantly. I was left chasing them for updates instead of being kept informed.

I also paid $625 for the vehicle to be delivered. It arrived at around 6:30 PM on a weeknight with barely any fuel in the tank, the gauge was sitting on empty. My first drive wasn’t to enjoy the new car, but to drop the delivery driver back to his truck and then head straight to the nearest servo.

What was most disappointing was the complete lack of customer service. For the price I paid, I expected to be treated with at least a basic level of respect and professionalism. Instead, I felt like just another transaction.

I wouldn’t recommend Trinity Auto Cairns if you’re hoping for a decent customer experience. Once they have your money, don’t expect much more.

I purchased the car from Trinity Auto Group in The city but for some strange reason cannot leave any feedback anywhere for Trinity Auto Group Earlville. extended warranty here to do thorough research first. I bought one in good faith, expecting peace of mind, but unfortunately, when a serious issue arose (caused during a routine service), the warranty was of no real help. I ended up paying out of pocket for independent diagnostics just to get clear answers, while communication from the workshop became non-existent when I tried to follow up.

It’s disappointing to feel ignored, especially when safety is involved. I expected better after trusting them with my vehicle. Make sure you fully understand what you're covered for—and what you’re not—before paying extra for a warranty that may not offer much support when it’s truly needed.

To make matters worse, the mechanics are incompetent. They put the wrong oil in my car, which triggered an engine warning light immediately after the service. Despite keeping the car for two days, they couldn’t figure out what the problem was and still sent me away with the warning light on. I had to take the car to an independent mechanic, who discovered the wrong oil had been used—causing the vehicle to lose power while I was pulling out into traffic. I narrowly avoided a serious accident with a truck that missed us by seconds. Completely unacceptable.

NOT TO MENTION THE MANAGER ABSOLUTLY SCREAMING AT ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHILE I WAS IN THE OFFICE, I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED ANYTHING SO UNPROFESSIONAL IN MY LIFE AND AGGRESSIVE. HE SHOULD BE SACKED...

I paid for an extended platinum warranty on a secondhand car purchased from Trinity Auto. My car has been there for repairs now for 2.5 months. I was told that they couldn't order parts until the warranty claim was approved, I asked if I could pay for the parts and have them ordered and be reimbursed once the claim was approved. Even though that… Read more

sounds reasonable I was told "it doesn't work that way". It took months for them to process the warranty claim. Now that the claim is approved and the parts have finally arrived from Melbourne, I'm told that repairs can't be completed, and new parts need to be ordered from Melbourne for a related problem that they've only just identified. Estimated time of completion is another 2 weeks (if I'm lucky). I initially had my car towed to Trinity Auto from where I live 1.5hrs drive away. They contacted me 2 days later to tell me via text and voice mail that my car was ready to collect. It was late on a Friday afternoon and my attempts to get clarification were unsuccessful. So, I paid $45 bucks to go on a private school bus to Cairns at 6.30am the following Monday morning (no public transport available at all) only to be told that parts needed to be ordered but I could take my car home and book it in for the repairs once parts had arrived. I asked them to clarify that the car could be driven because it was in fact towed there because the engine was overheating. They checked and confirmed that yes, I was right, the car couldn't be driven. When I told them that left me in bad position because there was no public transport back to my hometown and I had 2 kids waiting for me (single mum) they basically just shrugged their shoulders. I had to make my own arrangements and luckily could borrow a car from a relative but only for a couple of days (requiring addition school bus trips after returning car to Cairns). Since then, I've had to borrow 2 other cars as I commute between hometown and Cairns for work and have 2 children that require transport across the region for various activities. My attempts to contact an appropriate person at management level to make a complaint and speed up the process have failed. NO STARS!!

The service area is the worst customer experience i have had to endure for a very long time. When I bought the car, they included roadside assistance for 5 years, pending my services be done with them. No worries - that is easy enough............until....I actually needed help on one of the wettest days this year parked off the highway...and was… Read more

told it was unavailable as National Roadside Assistance advised me Trinity Auto has indicated to them that I have missed a service, even though I HAD NOT, and my next service wasn't due for another two months.

When I rang Trinity, they said I had to call the Roadside assist to get the info updated. I told them I had never had to advise them of a service being done, it was your system that is supposed to update them. I was then told to contact my sales person???? The person has now left the dealership - am I suppose to do a Google search to find this bloke? For real?

So long story short, I'm never getting car serviced there again (way overpriced), and I took out RACQ ($200) for the year - I'd rather pay that than rely on useless people.

Omg, where do I start! I live an hour out of town, so booked a courtesy bus for me and my baby to get dropped somewhere while my car got serviced. Turns out they aren't able to take babies so I had to walk around on foot all day in the heat. They didn't contact me to say it was ready so I went back later that afternoon anyway and sure enough it… Read more

was ready. First thing I noticed when I got in my car was they hadn't fixed my windscreen washers-they weren't squirting water due to a broken hose (they were able to tell me i needed new blades so go figure). I went back inside and complained so they fixed it while I waited. 45mins later I was getting into my car for the second time to leave and turned my aircon on. It was making a loud whirring sound. I managed to call out to one of the mechanics who were walking by and asked them about the noise. They had a look and explained that a leaf had fallen into the aircon vent when they changed the hepa filter change. Waited another half hour for them to remove the leaf. Finally got on the road only to find that the car was pulling hard to the right (they had charged me for a wheel alignment) and vibrating at 100kmph (not good with a baby in the car). Trying calling several times on the way home but no answer. Tried to call several times the next day but no one returned my call so I drove up there in the afternoon and asked for a refund so I could get it fixed elsewhere. They eventually agreed to look at the car and yes, sure enough the wheel alignment from the previous day hadn't been done correctly. Leaves me wondering if the service even got done. Won't be going back there.

I'm really disappointed that this site requires the reviewer to leave any stars at all, because these guys don't deserve any. sentence. It's obviously not just the fault and crap attitude of the service team, as this behaviour must be known to management and other organisations in the consortium. They need to be put out of business once and for all.

Booked a car in for a transmission control module Recall, (Car was relatively fine apart from general wear and tear) Picked car up and the antenna was in the back seat for some reason, OBD reader point cover was in the back seat, front passenger window doesnt roll up or down anymore and ABS brake light & hill start assist won't work now. to call instantly that afternoon and left multiple messages over the course of approximately a month. To no call back or contact.

Finally receive a call to be told they can book the car in but if it's not due to the recall I will be charged for labour.

*Edit* Once again Trinity Ford has produced Horrendous service. After being charged $470 to "find the fault" and 2500k to fix things that were not causing the issue that the car was taken in for. They've left the door open, Filled the back foot wells and little trays with water, the car stinks like all f$$$ and also won't even start anymore. As well as letting all our belongings in the car get wet and start growing mould as well including a baby carrier.

Once again how the #### does someone send a car in to get fixed and it comes back in worse condition?

Absolutely terrible. I was an interstate buyer, spoke with Miguel about a used car, was happy to proceed, aware I needed to leave a deposit. quote. I called back and he told me the price but then said, bad news, I sold the car.. I questioned why he didn’t contact me to ask if I would pay the deposit (was happy to), he blatantly lied and said he tried calling. The only missed call I had was about the transport quote. Then proceeded to ask what my budget is to find me another car. Yeah.. no thanks. I then called the next day to speak to his boss, was put through to an answering service, left a message but of course, never receive a call back. This place has no morals at all. Would avoid at all costs

Disgraceful service – DISGRACEFUL SERVICE by TRINITY SSANGYONG CAIRNS AUSTRLIA This issue started over a month ago, I requested a quote by email for a diagnostic check on my 2014 SsangYong Korando. something about it, I heard nothing for two weeks, I then phoned again she told me she had a couple of days sick leave and was on leave and that she would phone the general manager she sent them an email and cc’d me into that email, no reply from either. I then contacted the CEO by email I never even received a courtesy reply from him. I then phoned Ssangyong in Cairns the local dealer the phone rang out and went back to the reception she said I'll try again on a different number which she did the phone rang out again so I phoned sales and guess what? somebody answered the phone straight away, I'm assuming they thought they were going to sell a motor car I told the salesman the issue, at least he did the right thing he took my details and he walked the details across to spare parts and said they will contact you, they did they phoned and said we've got your car booked in for a service I said no no no not a service its for a diagnostic check then they asked does the day and time suit you I said yes. I took the car in there on the 26th of July I was there from 7:45 until 11:45 charged over $400 I did request in writing and verbally to have any spare parts I needed the numbers and the cost, that was not available at the time the service fellow said he will email that to me that afternoon. I writing this two weeks after the event and I received absolutely nothing. I went to the local service provider who looks after my Korando, I got there on Friday at 7:45 told him what I wanted 11:45 he phoned me with the prices and the parts I can't honestly believe that you people would ever expect me to buy another SSangyong motor car after the actual dismal display of service that you have supplied me with you should be ashamed of yourself end of message.

Disgraceful Service – The staff at Trinity Auto Group in Cairns are rude, arrogant and demeaning. The staff speaks to you like you are an imbecile and explains nothing to you in terms of your vehicle. They slug you with a labour fee and do nothing to the vehicle. you off and picking you up later when the work is done. Two hours later I get a message to pick up my vehicle with a labour fee of $198. I had to make over 40 calls to the garage to get a ride back and after 2 hours later. Then when I get there I am told nothing has been done to the car because they couldn't find the faults. When I asked them to explain what they did the manager got into the car and acted unprofessionally. He spoke to me in a derogatory manner and replied, "I don't know" to every question I had. Never in my life have I encountered such appalling car service. The only reason why I took it there is because it is a new MG3 Excite and they have told me if I do not service it there then my warranty is void. I found out from Fair Trading that the information given to me by them was incorrect and that I can take my car anywhere to have it serviced. Advice to consumers. If you are going to use any car service ask them to clearly state what is charged under warranty and what is not. So that way you know exactly what you are paying for. I am going to stay clear from Trinity Auto Group in the future. Even after writing several emails and letters to their managers and head office about their service nothing was done and there was no apology. Plus Customer Care MG does not respond to any issues you have despite writing to them over 20 times.
