I have one of their Dusty Fabric Lift Chairs, the same strut snapped 3 times, twice while it was under warranty and the whole mechanism was replaced. It clearly has a design/materials defect but they refuse to discus the matter.
The standard warranty on their furniture appears to be 1 year only for any electrical/motor faults. This is ridiculous as most of these issues always happen between 1-3 years. I purchased a lounge for $4500.00 3 years ago, to find that my recliners no longer operate currently as the wiring is now faulty, and of course the warranty has now expired. A 3 year life span on a $4500.00 purchase does not sound right to me. Very disappointed that neither the retailer or the manufacturer are willing to assist.
Warranty Blues – In February 2018 I bought a two seater electric recliner, I have been noticing for some time that the cushion where I sit (left) was sinking more than the other, on the 3/10/2024 after starting to hear noises like something had collapsed (spring) I decided to contact the manufacturer and was told to contact the retailer Domayne who will raise a service request with invoice No 1221375 On the 28th of October I recieved an email from Domayne - [Name Removed]:
Hi Frank, We have received a response from the supplier regarding your Savoy lounge. They have stated that the warranty periods for your lounge are as follows: Frame and base: 5 years Foam and leather: 2 years Electrics: 1 year Unfortunately, as your lounge was purchased in early 2018, it is no longer covered under warranty. As a result, they are unable to help you with repairs at this time. I apologise that we cannot fix this concern and appreciate your understanding in the matter. Localised sagging in lounges can be a result of uneven wear. Our suppliers recommend varying seating locations to ensure weight is evenly distributed across the lounge and exercising care when seating to preserve the cushions' structure (e.g. avoiding sudden or heavy impacts). Incorporating these practices, along with regular cleaning and maintenance, can help maintain the comfort and integrity of your lounge. Got a question? Please don't hesitate to call or email me. I'm very disappointed with the manufacturer response regarding warranty as they don't even know what the problem is without an inspection.
