Tuhorse Pumps 4" 500W Solar Submersible Bore Pump Questions & Answers
Hello,my control box keeps saying well L there is plenty of water this is the second Tuhorse pump I have had, that has said this. Any ideas??
Your question is unclear as to the problem being experienced. Your well water level sensor is possibly defective. corroded -shorted out. The supplied sensor is subject to corrosion/rust shorting out. Source alternative sensor to hook across the two immersion wires.
It is not pumping water anymore, even though there is water in the bore. The panels are supplying plenty of power. I have already had to replace one pump already. My bore has a fair bit of calcium in the water.
You need to short out the wires where the water probe connects to the controller box. IF the pump starts up and runs fine. Then you have a corroded probe, replace. or just leave terminals shorted; if you are confident the well never runs dry, or gets pumped out quicker than recharge....

Hi Tim mine has just started doing the same thing, it's only 18mths old I thought maybe pigtail pump part jambed up or capacitors, going to contact supplier even when I have the 240v to 48v inverter hooked up to my generator it still does the same thing , it's a pain when you need water for stock

Same here Had a pump not working and discovered factory splice at pump was defective. Renewed splice and still going. Has now been on every day for 4 years.
check your power cable ohm resistance, should read the same each power pair. Also, the solar just may not be output sufficient power at the time. Also check the water level sensor condition. It corrodes/clogs and consequently board may fail at orange led, not sending power to pump...
Can you turn the timer switch off completely if bore has plenty of water?
I reduce the water volume from my bore so as not to stain, will doing this harm the 3year old submersable pump?
I am looking for a new bore pump and re tick system. Anyone know of a good company here in Perth WA that does this please. Our current bore and re tick system has completely failed and the quotes so far are so expensive its making me re think going that way. So is this 500w solar pump able to do 80l/m ?
Tuhorses submersible 3"500W pump with 4 panel system package provides 7L/min at 80m head for my bore. Another option if you need more water is the 4"1000W submersible with 8 panel system which provides 15L at 80m head, more than double the amount of water.
Had a bore installed months ago now so no longer looking for a new system.
Required for stock troughs, will the pump turn off when flow stops? e.g. float valves close off
The Tuhorses pump systems come with water sensors that detect the water levels of your bore and tank. When the sensor detects the tank capacity or the bore level is dropping the pump will turn off.
In the cases where the tank is far away from the bore, Tuhorse has the PC01 pressure switch to stop flow into the tank at capacity.
