Ubiquiti UniFi AP AC Lite
3 reviews
Easy Breezy Setup and Stable Wi-Fi – Purchased to extend the reach of our Ubiquiti Dream Machine, I have the access point connected to the network via ethernet backhaul. Devices roam between both access points with ease and while the "Lite" access point does not provide the most breakneck throughput it far exceeded what most Australian internet can provide. If you are comfortable tweaking some settings you can increase the WiFi throughput by adjusting the "VHT" settings.
As we have an existing Ubiquiti Dream Machine it was a very simply process to "adopt" the new access point. All network settings were transferred automatically and since it's set up, it has been rock solid.
Purchased in at MSY Technology SA, Elizabeth for $119.
- Number of Connected Devices: 27 devices
- ISP: Superloop Fixed Wireless
- Modem: TP-Link AC750 Archer C20
Easy to Deploy – Love the Unify hardware and console, its super easy to use and manage, I work remotely so to be able to see the entire system online or if something drops it can notify me. The AC Lite packs some solid punch, and in most offices and home will do the job very well, save the cash and get the Lite Highly recommended.
Extend Your Reach – This Access Point was used to extend my existing UniFi network, one being up stair and the other being downstairs. This has created a mesh network, allowing solid connections throughout the house. It was easy to set up with the UniFi controller (basically plug and play). Being the Lite version, the reach is not as far as I had anticipated, so consider the LR version if you need more coverage. However for the 2 level floor, it sufficed for my needs.
