Rock-solid investment for an NBN100 or better – Definitely a part of the unifi ecosystem. upgrading from a top-end all-in-one ASUS modem/router/AP gave me the following: - network stability and general increase from hours to weeks/months between reconnections - understanding of what's happening internally/externally to my network in a user-friendly way. IE when I've downloaded an app that is… Read more

sending bad data I get alerts - the ability to have a reliable network to extend with CCTV and IoT additions without a big forklift upgrade

What I now know: - much harder to initially setup than I thought. not for the average use

What I ended up buying: - Unifi Security Gateway, CloudKey, 8PT PoE Switch, Wireless-AC access point, Wall port Access Point

Great and powerful router for the home – Router has served me well, Is fast and has not struggled under my HFC 100mbit down connection. It is relatively easy to setup port forwarding and the like from the Unifi controller GUI (sold separately as a device or can be hosted on a Windows or Linux computer for free). If you are a power user and after setting complex router rules (that are not… Read more

in the GUI) then it can be fiddly to configure as the configuration is in JSON and this file needs to be saved to the controller. If this is not done then the configuration will revert to previous settings.

Rock Solid Prosumer Gear – This router isn't for your faint hearted average consumer - you have to know how to use it and configure it a in conjunction with other Unifi/Ubiquiti products. The router is rock solid and very stable and it doesn't have issues like other routers where they would randomly freeze or lose it's connections and require a restart every so often - this… Read more

router is designed more for business use and for small to medium enterprises where reliability and stability is often required.

Rock solid gateway, set and forget – Doesn't skip a beat! I do not have to touch my router at all these days. It pairs perfectly with the unifi ac Lite. I tested originally with iperf and it can handle 500 Mbps over wifi. Not too shabby! Anyway this router is for those who want to distribute multiple access points through their home. It doesn't have built in wifi. There is a plethora… Read more

of settings to tinker with in the very clean looking UI. For advanced users a Linux kernel is also available to further customise. I think this is superb value for money and am confident in the durable build quality too.

Excellent – Use it on my SkyMesh HFC NBN connection, does not miss a beat. When I first purchased the device the setup was not that great, but newer firmware has made setting up this device painless. In Unifi 5.6.16 the router now has local DNS. The DPI signatures are always getting updated. Functionality has improved greatly as UBNT has improved the firmware and unifi controller.  Show details

Sitting on a shelf because of a wide spread RAM issue on USG Pro – USG Pro keeps disconnecting from time to time. Very good idea on paper, but right now, very limited software. Frequent update that cause service interruption. One update removed the Radius settings and opened the corporate WiFi for everyone. A few days past before noticing it. Very bad chat support. The guys are very low technical and are… Read more

probably chatting with a dozen of people at the same time. Frequently ask the same questions over and over.

Quite possible the worst, most unreliable router I've ever used – These routers are so temperamental, they just keep disconnecting from the internet. A google search to fix the problem highlighted how this is a real problem. I contacted Ubiquity with recommendations to upgrade the firmware, still no luck. You need to be a computer programmer to understand these things, I've used a lot of different routers with ease, however I have just unplugged my Ubiquity and gone back to a more reliable router.  Show details

Ubiquiti USG is Excellent managed network gateway!! – After connecting this uniquely smart managed gateway to my unifi AP PRO, I can manage to see all what type and details of the traffic of all my clients by viewing the deep packet Inspection in the lovely GUI controller.  Show details
