When I tried these I knew I'd never go back. But now I can't find them – Love the taste and texture of these oats. With the nutty flavour I didn't add sugar. Was given the tip to cook them the night before. Toast a cup of oats in the pan with a little oil or butter then add 3 cups of water, bring to the boil then remove from heat and cover and leave overnight. Ready for reheating with a little milk in the morning and… Read more

the next few days. Keep covered in the fridge. They don't go gluggy.

Unfortunately I can no longer find them in any supermarket in my area.

New look 3 mins steel cut oats (New brand) – missing the goodness and taste in new look/3 mins steel cut oats. stopped buying this product and buying an real steel cut oats from health aisle in coles. If i'm right only woolies sell this new product and coles does not have this new 3 mins steel cuts on selfs. Don't know this new product will be hit as it actually defeting the real… Read more

purpose.

Anyway, I wish the product owner bring back the real steel cut oats which i loved and given 5 star. Original steel cut oats took 25 mins to cook (without soaking, ) but its really worth spending time for that nutty tasty oats with full of goodness for health.

Great product – We enjoy the cut groats each morning with a small mount of traditional oats to to smooth out consistancey. Brings back memories of gathering a handful of groats from the seconds shoot in NSW seed grading plants and munching on them raw. The issue for us is that the availability is inconsistent with Coles and Woolies in the Hunter Valley. When I see I generally purchase at least 3 packets.

"New Cook Time" version has replaced – Like the other reviewers I used to give this 5 stars, however Uncle Tobys have replaced their steel cut oats with a semi-rolled oat that is chopped up finer and defeats the whole purpose of buying steel cut oats. Don't bother buying this at all, find another brand that does real steel cut.

Much better than rolled oats – I like this much better than rolled or instant oats as it is low GI and less processed (i.e. not steamed).

Excellence in a bowl – Delicious to eat and 60 grams easily keeps you going until lunchtime. This is a real find. Every night I can't wait for breakfast in the morning.

So tasty! – Tried for the first time the old fashioned way, boiled on the stove top with half water half milk. Served with golden syrup & was amazing! Delicious nutty flavour & chewy texture. I've also tried soaking overnight and it only takes 90 secs to heat up in the morning! Overnight oats currently in fridge with yogurt & berries can't wait to try them in the morning!

Nutritious and just YUM! – I tried my first bowl of the 'new' Steel Cut Oats this morning. The taste is great and they fill you up! The nutritional information was appealing to me as they have a low Glycemic Index (Low GI) and I love that they can be cooked on the stove top (slow cooked oats).
