Excellent Service and Attention to Detail – I rate this service agent highly due to my satisfying written communications, phone calls and finally a visit to the service centre. The tech service fellow, John Tresham, I had been in communication with multiple times via email and phone calls due to a perceived constant problem with my recently-purchased UNIMIG Viper Synergic MIG Welder. Although the welder had a 12 + 6 month warranty, due to interstate travel, illness and other delays, I was not able to get down there within that time. So it was just out of warranty. However, even though it was Friday afternoon, and he was due to go on leave the next week, John was unrushed and patient in his attention to my problem. He spent lots of time discussing various and interesting welding-related things and electronics, as well as hooking up the gas and giving my machine a good test and examination.

Even though this machine is classed as an 'entry level' beginner's welder and no doubt looked on as a toy by professional welders, this agent still gave me the same personal attention, time and respect as he no doubt would have with a big spender customer with a $3000 welder.

And even though he couldn't duplicate the fault I was experiencing, I went away with more knowledge and confidence in using it. Although I don't have 100% confidence that the issue won't return, I have not had the problem reoccur as yet, so it's possible that the issue was fixed in that examination and adjustment by him.

Note that it's increasingly common these days for staff at companies to ignore emails, or at the very least to give lazy and ineffectual replies. And when calling via phone, to give non-helpful or ignorant information. I'm so glad this service centre is not one of these! Staff here seem to be a credit to the company. Thanking you.

Unimig products offer value for money – I have a Unimig 1 phase 250 amp workshop, multi process welding machine that is now about 10 years old. It is a genuine 250 amp's from a 20 amp outlet. It has been faultless. Based on its performance I have just purchased a Razor Tig 200 AC/DC welder and a Unimig Viper Cut 30 MK II Plasma Cutter. Priced well, many good features and equipped with reasonable quality guns and torches. Tig has 5 year warranty, entry level plasma has 2.5 yrs with registration, good warranties in my opinion. Early days, < 1 month, but all seems OK so far.

No Concern for Customers – I have an old machine. For nearly 40 years I have tried to get a simple wiring diagram and basic information on the machine. It was not supplied with anything other than a very basic user manual. Vendor absolutely refused to supply what was requested. The company is happy to say how great they are but turns out not only did they buy the machine in, they have no documentation and refuse to say who built the machine. With this attitude I will never buy another machine from them or recommend them or ever put a machine in for service by them because they farm that out too. Check very carefully before you buy. The machine itself no problem with quality just the vendor.

We understand your frustration regarding the lack of wiring diagram and basic information, but unfortunately, the machine you have is quite old and was discontinued around 30 years ago. As a result, we don't have any documentation related to it, as it predates our digital record-keeping systems.
