I had done some research on pumps and knew that I wanted a closed system and the option to double pump. I wanted value for money too. Enter the Unimom Forte.

Fast forward to almost a year of easy use and it was clear that my pump was going to need a service. I sent an email to Uberebaby on a Saturday night and received a phone call on the following morning, a Sunday morning no less! Not only that, Eileen at Uberebaby arranged to drive to my work place on Monday to pick up the pump AND provide me with a loan pump! I don't know of any other company that would do that.

I would have recommended the Unimom Forte before the utterly AMAZING customer service I received as it is a great pump BUT couple that with the service and you can't go wrong with this pump.

I had nothing to compare my experience of pumping to until last month we had to take my son to the hospital i had to pump while i was there, and to my surprise using their industrial Medela pump I could hardly express as much as i could with my Unimom forte. I had breastfeeding issues early on which affected my supply, luckily for me i purchased the pump before i had bubs and was able to pump to increase my supply. There were times when my LO couldn't latch so i expressed some and fed him with the bottle - fast forward 6 months and i'm still breastfeeding i couldn't be happier. I can attribute this success to alot of hard work and of course the Unimom forte pump! The pump itself runs smoothly and isn't too loud (handy when expressing when bubs is having a nap) I find the fact i can convert to a manual pump when i'm out so handy as well. Its a comfortable machine to use i especially like the massage guards. The suction settings range from very subtle to very strong which was good in my case as i suffered from flat nipples and was still able to express milk regularly and eventually draw them out.

I bought a package through Milkbar Breastpumps which included a cooler bag and 5 extra bottles as well as storage bags the bottles are nice and compact and fit any slim line teat which is very versatile. Delivery was super quick!!! The unit also pumps directly into storage bags which can be put straight into the freezer - Very convenient. I've found it to be very hygienic - nothing flows back into the motor and easy to clean. The only one issue i have is that the rubber plug that converts it from a single to double pump detached from the unit, however inconvenient hasn't actually affected use of the pump.

Tech support is readily available from Ubere and through their distributors - i,e, Milkbar breastpumps. There are heaps of Youtube videos available which i found interesting and i had the pleasure of meeting the team in person at this years Pregnancy, Babies & Children's expo.

breastfeeding them both before 8 weeks. With the UniMom Forte, I was able to establish a healthy supply and was even regularly pumping over 120ml of milk per session (both sides) at the 6 week mark.

I love that the Forte is truely closed system, so I do not have to worry about milk or vapour backing up into the mechanism. It has very good suction and has maintained that throughout 7 months of heavy use. Even when double pumping, I don't need to have it at maximum to get a good letdown.

It is solidly constructed and easy to use - nothing over complicated. Turn it on, adjust the dial to where you feel comfortable, and then relax and let it do the work!

I know from my own experience, and speaking with several other mums, most mums do not like to pump because they say it is painful. Pumping has never been painful with my UniMom Forte - I find it very easy to find a suction setting that is comfortable but still effective.

**I have all three UniMom pumps, but I'm writing this review for the Forte as it has been with me since the beginning. I love all three of my pumps, though!

Love it, great pump – I've never been able to express milk but this pump is so different compared to others. I love it. Highly recommend.I only pump when I need to or if I need to leave my baby for a small amount of time so don't use it everyday. Excellent pump! – I was given this pump by my sister and think it’s great! I used a Medela with my first and this is more powerful. It has powerful suction and the double makes it quicker. I didn’t find the breast massagers comfortable as I have large breasts but it still works well just a with the flanges. Highly recommend.  Show reply

Saved me so much time, was allowing me to have let downs more quickly and was able to continue to feed my baby with my milk.whilst allowing my milk to continue to produce, and produce more to keep up with him. This pump is extreamly comfortable and due to this it had helped my nipples heal enough to be able to start breastfeeding my beautiful son again! Can't thank this company enough for the amazing support they have shown my family and we will forver be greatful!

Life Saver! – Had supply issue with both babies, had to use a pump at the hospital then home to encourage milk supply (as well as the the baby ofcourse), this is just as good as the hospital one and used it for both babies, it’s comfortable, very hygiene as the parts can be sterilised in the microwave, and very good range of suction power that can be adjusted to suit. Perfect & easy to carry anywhere – I bought this double breast pump in November 2014 and it served me for 6 months non stop. As my son was hospitalised many times during this period and on many occasions I wasn’t allowed to touch him. But due to this excellent pump I was still able to feed him my milk. Well made and sturdy – Not sure how the comfort compares to other pumps as this is the only one I used. It was easy to use and clean. At one point I had it on the ground and accidentally kicked it and the valve snapped. I emailed unimom who replaced the valve for free and express posted it to me the next day. good while it lasted – this pump was great it lt kept up my supply really well and it extracted so much milk. the double suction took away pressure from each though when you used them both at once. also it was hard leaning forward all the time otherwise the milk would leak out. it was good while it lasted it broke 2 times while i had it unfortunately in 1yr.  Show reply

great product! – great product! easy to clean and intruction easy to follow. all the parts are very simple and comes with very soft color. i used it 5x a day (30-40mins) for my baby girl, its very recommended as its very handy and easy to set up. as the machine is small, its easy to carry around.  Show reply

This is the best breast pump I've ever brought!! – Before I started using this breast pump I'd only get 80-110mls in 20minutes. My pump arrived yesterday and I've already got 300+mls stored in the freeze. I highly recommend this pump, best thing I've ever brought, and so easy to use. Didn't work for me!! – I couldn't get any milk with this, nor the avent electric. Was too difficult using two at once and I had much more success with a medela hand held. The reason I suspect it gets so many good reviews was because it offered free products for a good review!! Well my babe is nearly 4 so that was a few years ago. But I didn't even keep it for my second.

As good as Medala for far less – I bought this pump after borrowing a Medala from a friend and I can honestly say this pump is as good if not better, and it was a quarter of the price. As well, the Unimom can be used by different mums hygienically, which the Medala isn't. Suction is great, results were great, I was really happy with this pump.  Show reply

The best breast pump I have ever used – I tried several breast pump and found this product. I have been breastfeeding my son for more than 1 year. The product is very powerful,with double electric pump. I can easily use the twin pump in one time. either a double or single pump (which I've used while nursing my baby at the same time). It doesn't have a let down mode, though I find the let down happens anyway once you start pumping and I was able to establish a good supply to store some for returning to work.

It was just my luck that I was a week out from returning to work that the Unimom forte stopped working. I contacted Ubere by email, as I discovered the fault after 5pm Sydney time, on a weekday & was so surprised to get a call back within the hour (I think it might have even been 15 mins). Eileen organised a replacement new device for me to pick up the next day (thanks again) - I was so impressed by her service as I felt her team were so genuine in helping as not to affect my supply.

Highly recommend this pump as it is great value for a hospital grade closed system pump. Highly recommend Ubere because they have such excellent customer service.

I was so impressed overall with the Unimom forte that I ended up getting the Unimom Allegro also, so I could express while at work.

Best breast pump! – Easy to use, effective and great price! I managed to express a lot more breastmilk in a shorter time with it and it did not hurt at all! The price of the Forte is fantastic for a hospital grade and closed system breast pump. The parts are very easy to wash and reasonably priced too. I am very happy with my purchase and will likely be getting the Unimom Allegro next month before I begin my year long travel with both my children.

unreliable machine - broke twice! – Purchased a Unimom Forte double and used it once daily for nearly 3 months. In that time the machine broke twice - it just stopped pumping and a loose piece could be heard and instead of being ordered a refund i was only offered a third machine and told to return the junk at my own expense or inconvenience. was a "faulty batch". I'm not surprised as the machine felt like cheap quality and made breastfeeding a very stressful and anxious time for me as I knew it was not reliable. There is no let down feature and quite loud (next to the M....a which I now use with no problem). I also found after a couple of washes, the suction pads don't fit anymore and milk splashes if you try to use it (had to abandon those quickly). I found the parts were also many and fiddly (sterilising and setting up so many bits took a long time). I cannot recommend this machine for the simple fact it broke twice, I had to haggle with seller to refund me instead of giving me a third machine and I think it is in need of a timer considering it doesn't let down. I was unhappy with my service as not only did I need to argue to get a refund, I had to be inconvenienced to pay for shipping a broken product or drive over an hr to return it on person with a new baby. We did this on two occasions. Very disappointing service after purchasing this machine at the Babies and Pregnancy Expo.

The last thing a breastfeeding mum needs is stress, especially with a newborn so I cannot honestly recommend this machine and suggest you go with a popular reliable brand as this can impact your supply!!! Buyer beware!! Anything Unimom we have completely thrown out as it was faulty and I do not want to promote such an inferior product after my experience.

Fantastic product – After a visit to the Pregnancy & Baby Expo and a thorough visit and demo to every breast pump booth, the Unimom stood out as great quality and value as a closed pump system that would best serve my needs. My Unimom Forte gets used daily for up to 30mins and I can’t speak highly enough of it. Its quiet yet powerful & easy to maintain. with – I put it in my backpack to ride to work. It has continued to work flawlessly since I bought it. The Unimom enabled me to continue to fully breastfeed my baby until she was 12 months after I returned to part time work when my baby was 7 months.

Whilst the breast pump may or may not be better than other similar units (I've not tried every model on the market) I can definitively say that I would buy a Unimom product via the Australia distributor, as the customer service has been outstanding. The manager/owner of the Australian distributorship is very quick at getting back via phone or email, she is more than willing to help out, offer advice and can always supply spare parts.
