Universal Remote Controls

I ordered this remote based on the description on Universal Remote Control's webpage. It specifically described it as compatible with ALL Hisense TVs, even ones that are up to 30 years old. Mine is less than 9 years old. I was skeptical because the original Hisense remote control is no longer made and cannot be sourced anywhere. I know. I've tried for over two years. It's ridiculous to think that I might need to get a new TV just because the remote doesn't work. Based on their description I thought I had finally stumbled on the right replacement.

No luck. While the product did arrive quickly, it simply does not work. It's advertised as needing no setup but even with codes supplied by the manufacturer, they don't make any sense and their website gives no help. The customer service agent on Live Chat from Universal Remote Controls was nice enough to issue an immediate refund without making me return the item but made no attempt to help me set it up.

Also, in their listing, they didn't show the brand of the remote. Had they done so, I would have looked it up.

Their advertisement is unnecessarily deceptive and ended up being a waste of time and resources.
