Valco Urban Ultralight

Good – This was recommended to me by another mother, and I have not regretted it at all. Easy to fold and comparatively quite light, so it is easy to get in and out of the car. Particularly like the compact size - it seems a lot narrower than many of the 3-wheelers out there, so is easy to turn and can squeeze through small gaps. I find it a good… Read more
all-rounder, at a reasonable price. Light, small and easily manoeuvrable. Three recline options are good - having the halfway option is good for before baby is sitting up properly. The handle is a bit too short for me - find I am a bit hunched over when I push it (probably the same for most prams).
Excellent – Comes with sunshade mesh & rain cover. Good value. easy to push. We got it to replace valco Titan, (which we weren't happy with) Lots of positives, I would recommend it without hesitation. Great to duck into town with or for longer shopping trips. Nicer fabric than the Valco Titan. Large basket for your shopping, easy to steer & light weight.… Read more
The new model has a strap to adjust the recline which is fantastic & smooth to adjust with one hand
I had a C-section so this was heaps better than our big 3 wheeler. The strap that runs under the crotch is a bit long. & the piece that velcros around the front bar is a smidge to short & come undone every time I fold the pram up. There is no peek window. Doesn't fold down very much - but we new this when we got it.
OK – Was a great stroller for my son between 6-10mths until he got to tall, now it is hard to push and too much of a hassle, in the market for a new one although I really like the strap recline and large shopping basket so it is making it difficult to find another stroller with these capabilities. Overall a good stroller but they need to fix some… Read more
issues to make it great. Very light and folds up so you don't have to bend down to pick it up once folded. Padded, zip on the storage basket allows you to access it when in full recline, zip on rain and sun covers are fantastic. My son is too tall at 12mths and have to fold the top support over then fold it back when need to recline. The strap at the crotch is ridiculously long and the clasp is fiddly. The velcro strap around front bar is useless and comes undone/gets pulled undone constantly, the front leg adjustment doesn't go all the way down as the fabric is too tight so son cannot get his feet on the footrest. The front wheels easily lock down making it hard to steer and the brakes are flimsy.
Bad – Useful for quick trips to the shops, but no good for walking outdoors where any kind of slope is encountered (for small kids, at any rate). This stroller doesn't take up much space in the boot. It is light, easy to manoeuvre and simple to fold and unfold. The storage basket is a good size. I read another review about this stroller that said it was… Read more
well suited to small infants. While it might be OK for young infants who use it in the reclined position, it is terrible for small toddlers in the upright position. My son is a very small 13 month old, and we find it impossible to secure him with the straps: they are completely useless. He can wriggle out of them on the tightest setting. He always ends up with his legs jutting out the front and his back half on the seat after about 15 minutes of normal walking. This is our second stroller, and while it has a lot going for it, all it's good points are negated by its terrible safety harness and seat design.
Good – Overall a very good stroller. Excellent for travel. We bought it as a travel stroller as the Mountain Buggy was too big to put into cars and planes. Recommended. It is easy to fold , light and easy to steer. Not recommneded for "off road" travel. Love the big shopping basket under it and the rain and sover cover are brilliant. Small and effective.… Read more
Super for travelling esp air travel. A bit wobbly when you are used to a pram with real tyres. Tall men might find it difficult to push ! You cant hang anything on the handles. It takes a couple of tries to get baby/ toddler comfy in there.
Bad – we took this pram overseas with us and it was the only thing on the trip that really annoyed me!! the seat is awful. light and easy to fold, big basket with zip access when in layback position. the seat. it was sloped forward and my 1 yr old was constantly sliding forward in it (even with a pram liner). the strap between the legs is also in the wrong position - too far forward to stop her sliding.
OK – Was a great little stroller till my young fellow hit the 14 month mark and then it became increasinly harder to steer, obviously made for smaller lighter childrenDark colour shows up any milk or food spillages.Good size carry basket underneath. Nice zip on rain protector, great idea.Came with a removable synthetic sheepskin seat liner which was… Read more
easy to wash.Rear bar at bottom broke, bit too flimsy but a handy little item and lightweight, more suited to smaller kids. Very light and easy to carry, folds down to nothing, good value Back bar at bottom broke in two after 11 months of use.Not very good for toddlers weight.
Good – I have had this stroller for five months and use it almost daily. It is great for around the shops etc. Would not reccommend it for a small newborn. This stroller is light , easy to manage , easy to steer , the wheels do not lock, the canopy provides good protection Brakes - you must be careful to put them on properly. Was not very suitable for my… Read more
newborn she had to grow into the straps. The basket underneath is difficult to access when the baby reclines , I have to lift her forward to reach things underneath. The lever to fold the pram seems to be starting to stick and can be difficult to fold down.
