2 stroke Victa V 50 lawnmower nothing compared to the older Victa mowers – Cons.....excessively heavy. doesn't cut the grass neatly. doesn.t operate at the right speed. too expensive. looks impressive but the performance isn't. had a faulty fuel tap that was eventually replaced when starting problem diagnosed correctly. Pros.....starts fairly quickly. Wouldn't… Read more

buy another one as wasted money compared with the 1996 Victa Commando. Hope l can get some money back on it if l sell it.

They just keep going and going and going – What I love about 2 strokes is that they are a lighter engine which makes them easier to push around. I love their simplicity and as such less head aches. I am 52 yrs old and always had a victa 2 stroke! It's a shame to read the negative comments because a lot of quips boil down to people's lack of knowledge. Show details

Very good mower – I've had the lawn mower about two or three years now brought new ,eco power Torque I think. I use full synthetic 2-stroke oil ,the motor is fantastic starts first pull every time no issues yet always use 95 octane fuel and run the carby dry after use I run 50 to 1 oil mix haven't even change the spark plug yet only little problem is it doesn't cut… Read more

the grass as low as my old Iron Horse massport. it all depends if you like two-strokes or not they can be a little bit noisy.

You cannot go wrong with a Victa Two Stroke – I bought mine new in 2004 and it still goes strong. A few little cosmetic things have gone on it like the catcher flap and the cut height adjuster so I just bought another one off Marketplace for $50 and I am going to swap the parts I need. Actually the one I bought for $50 is in way better nick than mine and just needed a carby kit so I am going… Read more

to fix that one up. My old man told me "you cannot go wrong with a Victa two stroke, they are so easy to fix." and guess what, he was right.

Found a 20 year old Victa ...... its like brand new – Just found a Victa Vantage 2 Stroke on the nature strip with some ones Hard Rubbish. Its like brand new, but in a few pieces ( obviously someone knew nothing about Mowers.). Replaced the Needle in the Carburettor and it runs like a dream. I think this Model came out in the mid 90's, and I still love them.. Shame we wont be seeing any more of them with them not being able to pass new Carbon Emission rules. End of an Era...  Show details

Worst mower ever – Vista 2 stroke mowers in my opinion is the worst mowers I have ever had. I have serviced mower replaced ignition coil serviced carb and whatever I have done does not improve reliability, all I can say they are crap and I would never buy another one as long as I live.  Show details

Catcher drives me nuts! – The catcher is my big problem with this mower. My model has the fabric thread on fabric and it comes adrift endlessly. Avoid! Go for a model with moulded all in one catcher. Otherwise mower ok. Needs about 10 Pumps of the fuel pump to get a start. Not 3 as stated in manual.

Never bought a lawn mower before and now would never buy a Victor again! – A load of brown stuff. Like Brad -Won't start!, in the begining heating it up in the sun then a few pulls it would start but with the cooler weather it will not go. Do not buy the Victor as you will be looking for trouble ie. a shoulder injury trying to start the mower if it ever starts at all ! Cheap (& probably nasty) Just will not start!

Excellent – best mower i ever owned, starts every time hot or cold. i must have bought a good 1 cause i dont have a problem with the catcher and i haven't noticed the fuel consumption. i dont mow my lawn as regularly as i should and the lawn sometimes gets up to my knees and the mower never struggles cuts my lawn like its suppose to. never breaks down and starts fist time every time smokes a little Show reply

Biggest heap of rubbish ever brought – Brought from new and have only used it a few times. It would not start so I decided to check the spark plug, the lead is that short when I pulled the lead off the spark plug the lead came out of the magneto. Would not start and show spark plug lead

Excellent – I change the spark plug, airfilter and blades fairly regularly, they are cheap and this mower just keeps going. The only repair that I've had to do was to replace the back of the carbie ($10 part)...it's got a plastic carbie. I had fairly large front and back lawns and also mowed a friend's front and back lawns. I'd recommend this mower to others… Read more

but I'd probably go a 4 stroke next time, I have no problem with the 2 stroke but 4 stroke cleaner for the environment. I've had this mower for a few years now and found it very reliable and easy to use and maintain. Powerful enough for my needs. Parts are cheap and readily available. It would be good if the handle was adjustable to get under trees and folded down a bit better to fit into the car boot for transport.

Terrible – do NOT buy this mower. it is a load of complete rubbish. it is quite expensive and i hate everything about it. It always needs servicing and my servicer says biff it and get a new one every time. nothing actualy everything. it has a very noisy motor and is also very weak. it does not mulch either. the catcher falls of also and it can be hard to start. it doesnt idle either which makes mowing harder.

Bad – over alll?? its a cheap non reliable mower, also has quite a high fuel consumption i have noticed!!! catcher really bugs me ae. L O L nothing!! cheap though lolZ its hard to pull on the pull cord for some reason but usualy starts on 10 or 12 pulls. first pull when hot. catcher falls off when the mower rattles when its idling or cold start. also is quite noisy!!! smokes a bit to and that really annoys me!!

Excellent – After researching many units this unit is hands down the best wardrobe available at a good price. Unfortunately finding all your items in stock can be a challenge if you don't live on the west coast. It is very roomy and brings a high level of elegance to most any room. Unlike a previous reviewer mentioned the lighting system is actually too… Read more

simple to assemble. It is basically one piece you set in place and plug it in, if you buy the Ikea light. Due to the mere size of the wardrobe this is a two man job. You don't need to be a handyman, you simply need a lot of patience and one person to assist. Lack of patience could cause you to damage the unit during assembly.

Good – Anyone who wants a solid reliable mower for their small to medium sized yard - get one. I would recommend the 2 stroke over the 4 storke for the extra power and reliablity. Vertually no servicing required when looked after properly. How solid is this mower? I have had it for 2 years now and have done over 500cuts with this mower and it refuses to… Read more

give up! The solid 2 stroke engine has so muh power it powrs through any grass It's not original. This type of model has been around for ages - but I guess when you're on to a good thing, stick to it!!!

Good – Its a good looking little mower which seems to be built well too. It was easy to start and has a good number of features including height adjustment (for cutting longer or shorter length grass) a good rear catcher that is easy to handle and use and a fliptop handle for ease of storage. Whilst the 2 blade cutting system performs well i would have… Read more

preffered a 4 blade cutter which seems to be better for longer and thicker grass & weeds. Its well priced, well made and performs well too. It uses a 2 stroke motor which means you cant use straight unleaded but need to mix it with oil, which can get a little tedious on occasion.

Good – A good way to go if you whant a basic mower for your home lawn most parts are cheap to buy. Service the mower about once a year. A good robust mower for the home lawn the 160cc 2-stroke engine is srong and reliable and when treated with respect will last for years. The front axle bushers dont last that long. the spring on the catcher needs reseting evey now and then.

Excellent – Very good lawnmower for small houses with not much grass to cut, and afordable for people on a tight budget. it has a large cutting width and is very easy to start usually one-two pulls will make it start. it is a little bit hard to assemble by yourself so it would need two people to put it together, and the muffler will tend to rust if the… Read more

machine gets wet. It is also a two stroke lawnmower so it is worse than a four stroke because you have to mix two stroke oil with the fuel so it makes more polution than a four stroke because a four stroke lawnmower uses four stoke engine oil and the oil doesn't need to be mixed with the fuel.

Good – I found this to be a pretty good mower considering how much we actually paid for it. We only have a smallish back yard so it easily does what we need it to do. We have had no problems with this mower and we have had it for over 3 years. It's starting to send out some black smoke so perhaps it is time for it to have a service?!? I would… Read more

recommend this mower to small yard owners. Pretty good mower. It does what it is meant to do. It is cheap but it works. Nothing that I can think of.

OK – Good 2 stroke value for money. The zip start works really well but get your mower serviced. It is recommended every year but every couple of years keeps it running well Not kind to someone with a bad back
