Rude staff, wont refund full amount due to them charging a 15% restocking fee – Purchased a tripod, the tripod is pretty flimsy, I have a sony A7 and a 70-200mm lense that i wanted the tripod for. will charge 15% restocking fee. The average Australian hourly rate is $25 per hour, they are charging $57 to put the item back on the shelf. This is robbery. They are an absolute punish to deal with, not once has any team member been polite. Read the reviews everyone of them state their rude behaviour.

Get this the store credit can not be used due to their website being out of stock on 95% of the items they have listed

Product & pricing okay... freight cost ridiculous – Previously bought a few things from VG & found their pricing & range okay. have had is totally wiped out by this excessive freight charge. This is then made worse by their inexplicable PO Box surcharge. If you want your order to go to a PO Box, which I need to do, that's an extra cost of $8.50. So my $99 item now has a real cost of $124.50. This mean the actual price paid is nearly 25% more than the price they display. For a locally posted item. I have asked them about this and received a response that backs-up what others have said - their customer communication is rude & arrogant. I was rudely given a string of total nonsense 'justifications' for their extortionate freight pricing. I won't be considering shopping with them again until they do something about their shipping cost, absurd PO Box surcharge & attitude of their staff.

still cheaper to buy from VideoGuys. Just make sure you calculate shipping to get a realistic idea of price before you checkout. They sent me the wrong HDMI adapter (easy mistake to make) a quick email saw an immediate tracking number for the right product on it's way to me. (They replied as soon as they were open next.) Couldn't get better from a problem resolution perspective. Plus, they had what I wanted! Big range. I would say if you're ordering from them just make sure you're 100% sure of your order because they dispatch so fast that you can't change your mind!! I would definitely buy from them again. As a new customer, I am glad to have another store I trust, particularly one that can fill a lot of the range gaps I was experiencing with other options (ie. Lighting gels)

Terrible at Communication! – Is it really too much trouble Videoguys to reply to an email? Over the past few months I have been sending emails in vain inquiring about products you advertise on your website, yet nobody can even be bothered to reply to me! Is is any wonder we buy overseas, yet you Australian retails whinge about that?? Up your game!

Quick Delivery and at a reasonable price – Delivered before I expected. I can't complain about that. There website is easy to Navigate and all pretty straight forward. Considering I needed this part quite quickly, I would certainly rely on a purchase from these guys again.

Arrogant customer service – Our company is looking at buying some professional video equipments, price in total around $40,000, that is not a small amount. we tried to get a discounted quote from them, you know, normally for professional equipments there can be some discount. And they can only give 0.6% off, what a joke! And the guy I called is very arrogant. OK good bye Videoguys, Videopro can do way better than you.

They were so bad that it drove me to buy the equipment overseas. I would prefer to buy local but with this service I just could not use them. The overseas supplier they could supply me with answers and deliver the goods when I needed them. Australian Service is terrible

The order that prompted this review marks the third time (in several online transactions over the last year and a bit) that, within seconds of its placement, my phone has rung with a call from one of their cheerfully competent staff.

The first was to ensure that I was indeed fully aware of some peculiarities surrounding a particularly "weird" bit of specialist hardware and so not ordering in error.

The second resulted in an amendment to my original order after their representative (uniquely, in my experience) went to the trouble of pointing out a cheaper way of "doing the business".

Today's was to confirm the online indication that the item wasn't "in stock" and that its German origin may yield a longer delay than "normal".

All of which prompts a vital question.

If Videoguys can do it, (while paying Australian G.S.T. and rapidly shipping to my door) ...why can't some others? Immediate personal service, sound advice and meticulous attention to detail at competitive prices. Comparison with less scrupulous suppliers may leave a bad taste in the mouth.

Videoguys is also one of the only suppliers that I know of that actually has stock on hand most of the time...and on the rare occasions where they don't have what I require on hand, delivery is usually very quick.
