Why is communication and customer service so lacking on Virgin Australia? After my flight was cancelled due to oil and smoke in engine we received very little options or advice. Promised a text or email would outline options but nothing was sent. I had to payseveral hundred to get to Melbourne on Jetstar and after providing receipts and sending 4 emails I'm still waiting for a decision. I phoned but just kept getting deflected with staff making things up. Very very poor.
Has anyone else got a travel credit / bank that they can't use? We have been trying to book overseas flights and when we try and use travel bank, the flights are not available or the prices are inflated. These credits expire in December 2023 and we must also fly before December 2023. Virgin staff don't care either, they keep saying we don't have to give you anything as we went into liquidation. Hopeless. It's our money.
Yes, this happened to me. I used mine before Dec 2023 and my flight was actually returned to Brisbane because of bad weather. The person at the desk and also someone over email said I could have a credit to my travel bank. I have this in writing. Now they are emailing me and telling me that I can’t use my credit because it went into voluntary administration. I want my money back! This is deceptive!!
It was hard to even organise to use that original travel bank in the first place. A staff member hung up the phone when I needed help and said his system wasn’t working and that he would call back. He never did, he was lying. This company is absolutely awful to deal with.

No Talia, do not fly Virgin to Bali or anywhere else. They are the worst. Personal experience returned from Bali 2 days ago. Flights delayed, food sold out after cart moved 3 rows. Read previous reviews, they are correct.

Why are Vrigin not compensating you when they cut your suitcase tag deliberately when your luggage went missing and you can’t use the suitcase anymore? I got told they would scan my suitcase and nothing about cutting the tag. Like Really Virgin! This has been going round and round since early June, time to go to A Current Affair. What an experience with Virgin and wouldn’t recommend EVER again

go to your reference and ask for email again. Also, check your junk folder; i have had their emails go to that folder

How can Virgin Australia trade when owes clients money.I haven't been refunded for the $2000.And why would anyone buy any tickets with the risk of losing their money like millions of people lost during the pandemic? I just don't get it
When you book through a travel agent does the travel agent hold your money or is this passed onto the airline straight away? We booked our flights through the FC we were flying with Virgin Australia.
Will Virgin Australia be issuing credit for domestic customers affected by state mandatory quarantine requirements where at the time of booking no domestic border closures or mandatory quarantine existed? The reason I ask is that no one can be expected to continue with such a scheduled flight where state Governments are requiring 14 days of quarantine and especially at their own expense which for most can not afford.
What is happening with people wh were supposed to fly to uk in june and we're not able to go because you went into admin. We cannot leave the country and were told we have a month to use the ticket. This is robbery
Do you have travel insurance? We just got stung for not having any for an internal flight. This is some of the contents of the email they sent to me, It is very important to note that because air travel is inherently uncertain, scheduled flight times are estimated times only. When you make a Booking, we or an Authorised Agent will tell you the scheduled time of your flights. We do not guarantee flight times or schedules, and they do not form part of your contract of carriage with us. Guests are asked to read the Conditions of Carriage and agree to this prior to finalizing their booking. In other words, they don't take responsibility, If you haven't already done so, fill out a Virgin complaint form, I have done this and hopefully I will get a refund, still out of pocket considerably though. All the best.

Not sure...this is the first flight i have booked with them in 5 years...I have 2 domestic flights booked for tomorrow and Friday..I will find out...but nonetheless theyre a bloody ripoff
If Virgin Airlines are so good, why is there no complaints process
There is an online complaint process on the website. It is easy to find. Keep your booking number and flight number because they ask for those and your form won't be submitted without them.
2lit alcohol carry on luggage is it personal or included in 7kg domestic flight virgin?
If it's a gift for someone it's not personal; if you drink it, it is.
