Bought my bio chef blender 12 years ago, still going strong, just got first small crack in the lid. Have put it through frequent very heavy use and still works great. Show details

Really good blender – I've tried a few different blenders before the BioChef and it is a solid investment. I use the blender for smoothies that use mostly frozen ingredients at least twice a day. Sometimes I need to stop blending and stir the ingredients because they freeze up but the blades keep spinning. The motor had some trouble after the first year, but their… Read more ·  1

customer support team was super helpful and repaired it free of charge. It is very powerful, very noisy and you need to keep the base dry to avoid moisture being sucked in the mother, but absolutely worth it.

LOVE IT!! – I’ve had my BioChef Galaxy Blender for nearly 12 months. I can’t fault it in any area. It’s the best! High quality and high performance. I bought mine from Vitality4Life and the customer service there is phenomenal!  Show details ·  1

BioChef High Performance Blender – They chose a blender for a long time, they wanted to buy a professional one, but the prices are very high. This blender is considered not expensive but very powerful and high quality. A blender can pick up peanut butter in 2 minutes. Show details ·  1

The motor will blow up in 12 months. Cheap Chinese crap with a German price tag – This is the worst blender ever. It only last for 12 months and then the motor burnt out. I have contacted the manufacturer and they said they cannot repair it for free without a receipt. You would expect the blender to last more then 12 months. Show details

Disappointed – After having an alternative brand for nearly 10 years, I decided to spend a little more and opted for this unit. Disappointingly within 3 months or so the bearing had failed. Just over a year down the track this has happened again. The unit is cared for like a baby, never submersed in liquid for washing and I even crush ice before putting into the… Read more

Fantastic Performance – I bought the BioChef blender almost 10 years ago. It blends well even the tiniest seeds. Now that my children are older we use it daily to make smoothies. I was after the performance of the Vitamix which this blender delivers at a much cheaper price. It is not easy to clean the blades well as the jug is not removable. With many uses some… Read more ·  1

sediments of food accumulate underneath the blades which I clean out with a big toothbrush paying attention I don't cut myself as they are sharp. Overall, I have been very happy with the very powerful performance. MU from QLD

Liquid rust seeping from the bottom – I really loved this blender to start with but after about 4 months liquid rust started seeping from the bottom of the blender. The liquid from the blender also leaks out and causes a huge mess. We have had to stop using it due to these factors and it is less than a year old.  Show details

Pretty much perfect – I use mine every day and love it although it can be pretty loud. Does the job better than any other blender I've used and is versatile. I am yet to use it to heat up puree soups but would honestly use the microwave to avoid the sound/ power required to do so. Great for icey things too!  Show details ·  1

Can't live without my Biochef Blender – Shake, shake ,shake. The whole family love thick shake. My Biochef Blender has a low-35sec, medium 65sec, high 90sec settings. With the right amount of ice and milk, it crushes ice and blends quickly and makes my fruit shake or vegie shake smooth and creamy. It is heavy duty and has a 10 year warranty. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a bit loud but overall I am very happy with it.  Show details ·  1

Rubbish - bearing failed – I had high hopes for this blender. Not used heaps, maybe once a week for light smoothie making. Bearing absolutely shot and metal shards thrown everywhere. Lucky I was not blending anything requiring more grunt. I’m not sure it would have lasted longer than a month. Really disappointed. Really noisy as well, though this may relate to bearing issue. Don’t waste your money.  Show details

Great Machine – I have used this machine at least 3 x every week since owning it. I primarily make nut butters, nut milk and smoothies. It has never missed a beat until yesterday when I left a dessert spoon in the blender. This bent the shaft, chipped the blades (and spoon) and now the machine is unbalanced and vibrates ridiculously. This is the only reason I am buying a new machine and I am going to buy the same machine.  Show details ·  1

Great Vitamix Substitute! – Purchased this product just over 3 years ago after browsing it in store and looking up reviews. This is pretty much a Vitamix at a lower cost. Has all of the same features, no issues with the blade at all after 3 years use this product at least 3-4 times a week during summer & spring, product is super easy to clean, munches ice like it is nothing.… Read more ·  1

The ONLY issue I have ever had with it is trying to use it as a food processor using harder products such as dates. As it can get stuck at the bottom but other than that fantastic product.

Best blender I've ever owned! – I can't believe the negative reviews I've read for this blender!! I've had my Bio Chef Blender for just over 18 months, and it's been fantastic! I've used it for everything from hot soups to blending dry herbs for capsule making! It has been nothing but obedient in every way. Yes, it's a bit noisy, but I've never owned a blender that wasn't!! Very unhappy!! Nothing heavy duty about this blender – Very unhappy!! Nothing heavy duty about this blender. I have the exact same issue. Black liquid from plastic seeping out and solidify like Tar chips. My blender only lasted 9 months and I only use it on the 35 seconds. I can't imagine how long it would last if I used it for making soup. Probably pack up in 3 month? I wish I had stuck with my Kenwood blender.  Show details

Works well until it fails - customer service is terrible – Bought my first blender in July 2015 and loved it, until I noticed that water was building up in the base of the jug through a hole beneath the blades. Eventually the water build up lead to the motor burning out. Customer service was terrible. I had to pay $40 shipping and argue with the customer service rep who was putting it down as my fault… Read more

because i had tried to tighten the blade when i noticed that water was seeping into the jug. They offered to send me a replacement "as a gesture of good will" without a warranty! Surprise surprise the second blender I received immediately built up with water in the base and now i am terrified to touch it in case i get blamed for its failure again. I just tried to blend some mangoes and cream and noticed that familiar burning smell that happened the last time the motor burnt out. I am not looking forward to having to argue with customer service again and being asked to pay for postage. I would like a refund but i doubt that's going to happen. Possibly the worst customer service experience ever. On retrospect I wish I had forked out three times as much for a vitamix.

Good blender, terrible customer service – Bought the blender a few months ago, and the other day the machine stopped working. We called up customer service who said we needed to send it to Byron Bay AT OUR OWN EXPENSE, to determine if it qualified for warranty. Not good enough BioChef. The cost of transporting of this heavy product will be significant, and should be covered by you!  Show details

BioChef High Performance Blender ... Looks are Deceiving – Looks are deceiving ... This is a very good robust blender. Based on experience and use to date i would recommend it. The main jug body could be thicker plastic & the handle is made for a small woman’s hand, it could be larger for a man’s hand, that’s the only reason i give it a 4 Star. The top high speed blitzes everything to bits. Every… Read more ·  1

Smoothie is smooth (not lumps what so ever)

Apparently it can even make cold soup into hot blended soup if you left it on for 10min through the blending friction only, but i have never tried this.

I like the auto step up in speed when you select say a 30 to 90sec blend, it does not jump straight into high speed & you can walk away and leave it to do it’s thing.

The product warranties speak for them self it comes with a 10yr motor warranty & 7yr parts (plus your statutory 12 month warranty).

Bearings failed after 3 good years – Bought the blender in Oct 2013. It's honestly been great right up to the point when I noticed the bearings were seizing up. Pretty disappointing – Not much difference in function from my old very cheap blender. Food seems to get stuck immediately and you need to use the tamper every time to get it to work. Also when done, its hard to get all the food from the bottom due to blades. Worst of all I get a burning smell from the motor when this runs more than 30secs, even on low. The machine moves across the counter when running on medium or high.

One Out Of Four Is Not Enough – I loved my first blender so much that I purchased another for my son. I was happy with the offer given me to pay the difference between the demo and the new model but… Read more

when I received it, it also, like the demo model was extremely noisy compared to my first machine. I was not happy at all. It seemed to be manufactured in a different factory as it was cheap and not up to scratch. As soon as I received it, I returned it and asked for a full refund. This was promised withing five days of it arriving back at the depot. That was now a month ago. I have received part of the refund but not the whole lot. I am extremely disappointed. The staff have been very nice and obliging but nothing is happening. Only one out of the four machines received is adequate.

Whole bottom fell off after 3 weeks – I like what the blender can do especially the ice cream. Did smoothies and they were very nice consistency. No lumps. But after 3 weeks of light use, while I was blending frozen strawberries and milk, the whole blade fell off the bottom of the jug into the smoothie and leaked the whole smoothie everywhere. I will return it to Myer. It's a shame… Read more

Motor blew up – Got sucked in by the commercial grading. The motor blew up 3 weeks after purchasing, while blending chopped and seedless dates. Got sucked in by the heating function. Every soup recipe I tried tasted bad, and the soup settled into layers within 5-10 mins of making. Took it back to place of purchase and got a refund.

Contradicting Specs – I was looking for a good blender and thought this would be an alternative for the high price machines in the market. Unfortunately its says 3 HP motor - but when I read the detailed specs it says only 950W which is slightly more than 1 HP

Get a Vitamix if you can afford it – I bought a BioChef blender 10 months ago from The Electrical Discounter. We use it maybe 4-5 times a week to make smoothies, crush nuts etc. Ever since we bought the unit it has emitted a very strong burning smell when we load it up with smoothie ingredients. While the unit does have a safety cut off, the smell sometimes gets so strong my wife… Read more

and I worry about whether the unit will catch fire as it seems to get very hot (we've never triggered the safety cut off). We normally let the frozen fruit soften for 10-15mins before blending and the unit still struggles (although at this price you shouldn't have to soften the fruit at all!).

Several days ago my wife was making a smoothie and the blade retaining bolt snapped and the blades came loose, spoiling the smoothie (and wasting the ingredients). We're now about to send it off to the distributor to get repaired.

Full credit to the distributor (so far) as they were very helpful over the phone and didn't hesitate to give me the details to have it fixed under warranty. I'll report back once I've had the unit repaired.

When looking at blenders our options really came down to the Vitamix or BioChef. In retrospect I wish we had bought the Vitamix as they seem to be a heavier duty unit with a more powerful motor, thicker plastic container and support from commercial businesses like Boost Juice etc (although we only use ours at home).

Given our problems to date I'd love to get my money back and spend the extra money on a higher quality unit.

Best appliance – I did a lot of research and chose the biochef over other models because of the amazing warranty and the customer support I had. I knew it would be a good machine but I was still blown away at the difference between the BioChef blender compared to "ordinary" ones. I use it on a daily basis and so far no job has proved too hard :) Powerful, fast and high quality machine  Show reply

Best value for your money – I did a huge research before purchasing this blender. My old food processor is packed away ready to go on ebay, with losts of free space left in the cupboard. I don't think there is anything that other power blenders can do and Biochef can't. Warranty, price, simlicity, no gimmicks.

Great Value – I had a "green smoothie" challenge with a friend who has a Vitamix this morning. To be honest I couldn't tell the difference in the finished drink . At nearly 1/3rd the price of the Vitamix I'm very pleased with my purchase. The BioChef was quieter than the Vitamix at high speed. I would have like the option for a separate grain mill jug.
