Worst WIFI box EVER – If you have experienced iinet and had great service for over 8 years, do not let yourself get talked into a Vodafone internet package and wifi hub - its awful. Admittingly, having wifi that connects when it feels like it, zero range (cannot reach every room in standard house regardless of placement) and constantly dropping out, reminds you of the… Read more

good old windows95 days, but in this modern world - stay clear. The wifi box is simply dreadful, no other word for it. I'm annoyed I will have to pay for the box, but there's no way I can take another month or 2 of this. Loyal customer of Vodaphone for 11 years (telephone), but this home internet was a huge mistake. Hours and hours trying to sort it with tech support which then took us over the 30 day return policy - yep, you got me. 1 tech (nice lady) was the best help and got it working to a fashion, but still not close to what you would expect. Choice of good internet in the home office, or the bedroom - not both. Will be worth paying off and changing back.

Not great out of the box, got it sorted with some VF tech help – Very unhappy when we first got this as the range was pitiful and devices were dropping out 10 paces away. Contacted VF support and it seems the issue has been fixed. Basically, the default connection seems to be the 5GHz one, and the range on that is a bit of a joke. Essentially, had to use the dashboard (a bit ugly, but manageable) to set up two… Read more

networks you could connect to, a 5GHz and a 2.4GHz one (rather than the single default network where the modem seemed to select the 5GHz for you). The 5 is faster but you have to be within 10 feet of it. The 2.4GHz network has better range that our previous iiNet router, but the speed is slower than the 5GHz one. So, it works, although connection speeds seem to be a fair way down on the claimed "download speed". Still, faster than what we had before. So.... ??

Poorly configured device, factory default configuration – Unfriendly user interface and quite unreliable when compared to the old Telstra router which was rock solid and I never had to touch this one is a pile of junk. The Internet stops working at least once a month and only returns after the modem has been rebooted. (100% stock configuration apart from 1 static IP Address) I have to click apply on the… Read more

5ghz wifi password every time it restarts. This is all set to factory defaults as it didn't like me changing the SSID and passwords (according to Vodafones tech support) 4G backup didn't automatically kick in the one time NBN was actually down.

After seeing a couple of others on here using their old Telstra router I may follow suit.

WIFI Hub 2 terrible – Absolute bucket of crap. hub 1 was okay but when VF "upgraded" me to the hub 2 everything went south. connection drops out numerous times a day, requiring a modem reset. signal doesnt travel far when it is working, have been arguing with VF since july about this and still have multiple drop out issues each day. Show details

Pile of junk – NBN itself is OK (but not as reliable as the old Telstra cable connection) but the wifi hub is hopeless. Connection keeps dropping (especially the TV) and even the LAN connection locks up every couple of weeks. I have to restart it every couple of days - helpdesk has tried changing the wifi channel it uses a couple of time now but nothing helps.… Read more

The old Telstra Arcadyn worked very well and I've now put that back into use just as a wifi hub because it is reliable.

This hub is terrible WiFi – Thank God this Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub 1.0 has been discontinued best move by Vodafone. And here's hoping the Wi-Fi Hub 2.0 works for WiFi services in more than 1 room! Show details

Amazing! – Very satisfied with the Vodafone Wi-Fi hub and Vodafone NBN! As soon as I got the hub I only had to plug it in and was able to use the 4g back up while I wait for NBN to come connect. Great reception range very fast and EASY setup! Highly reccomend Show details

Stable and NBN service is good – I joined vodafone NBN 50 and got NBN100 for free for 6 months on April 2020. I got the vodafone hub free too. This hub has 4g second backup if the NBN went down for any reason. The service and the device are working smoothly. I recommend Vodafone for Residential services. Show details

5Ghz keeps dropping – Modem shouldn't be rocket science nowadays. The 4G backup is quite useful, but I don't expect having to use it that often. Now the 5Ghz I need to use it all the time and that keeps dropping. That needs a fix and Vodafone seems to have no clue.
