pressured by their sales team into 'upgrading' to a Managed VPS back then. It was the single worst business decision I’ve ever made. For the last 6 months, my server has crashed or gone offline for 4 to 8 hours at a time—at least 8 separate times.

Here is the reality of 'Managed' service at Vodien:

Zero Accountability: They shortened their call-in hours specifically to dodge the flood of complaints about their failing servers.

The 'Loyalty' Tax: I am currently trapped. I paid upfront until April 2027 because I had faith in them, and now I am stuck watching my business suffer while they sit on my money.

Non-Existent Support: In today’s world, their service level is a joke. You aren't a client to them; you are a hostage.

The level of frustration and anger I feel cannot be put into words. I am counting down the days until I can escape this contract. If you value your uptime, your sanity, or your money, do not make the mistake I did. Stay far away from Vodien.

Email went down again around midnight. No progress by their "support" team after around 15 hours. Complained that this was the 4th extended email outage in 12 months and was told that the outage is because the server I am hosted on is old and not capable of carrying the load it has, so to expect more of the same. sarcastic and arrogant sales person (Business Development Specialist) who proceeded to try to up-sell me to a more expensive service costing 250% of what I currently pay (Titan Email). There has been no contact prior to this event advising that I needed to change and considering we have only 3 low volume mailboxes, I find it hard to believe that this is anything more than a ploy to move to a higher cost service. In the process of looking at moving to another service, I also found that Vodien, when it took over from my previous provider through a buyout, failed to accurately transfer my domain registration details, tying me up in more calls to get the details corrected. This company has generally polite and helpful people in support but it appears there is poor technical management, no server monitoring, and a sales force dedicated to up-selling. If you are considering using them for email hosting, discard them as their products are generally not reliable. Lastly, their status page which is supposed to show any outages, NEVER shows issues while they are in progress, unless you dig behind, where you will find details of past events, but nothing on current problems. Their old web page, advertising mailPlus, the service I have been on up until now, states that the Data Centres were in Australia, but I confirmed today that the servers are all in Singapore, another blatant misinformation. The pictures I attached show a Status Screen showing no issues, but details behind the screen show a different picture, hidden to the casual eye. Just don't use them.

Update: It turns out that the server affected houses a number of customers, all of which are down, yet there is no mention of this on their Pulse Monitoring Page, and now they "As of now, we are facing challenges with the server, and that our dedicated server team is considering to transfer the server to another." This after close to 60 hours of outage. Their monitoring page is a scam.

Last Update: After more than 60 hours of outage, and no solution in sight as they considered whether to replace a faulty server, I transferred my domain and set up new email mailboxes with VentraIP, who were fantastic to deal with, using competent Australian technical staff. Our email is now fully up and running and operates faster than on the old Singapore-based hosting service of Vodien who are owned by Crazy Domains. Take my advice and cut them loose.

notice on my homepage. This was completely unacceptable as my web hosting was paid up and not expired. After years of loyalty, Vodien chose to publicly embarrass me over a late payment on an unrelated account. This unprofessional treatment has destroyed my trust in their services. I cannot recommend Vodien. Their willingness to humiliate customers and punish paid services shows a complete lack of professionalism. I'm already searching for a new provider and taking my business elsewhere. Any company that treats long-term customers this way doesn't deserve continued patronage.

the IP address! I called their support and that was the moment I realized they also cannot change it! This is the main and only purpose of domain provider and yet cannot be done by Vodien?! I couldn't believe it but the support guy promised he will fix the problem and call me in couple of hours but it did not happen. (Still this could be fine but the support guy either did not know DNS at all (which I doubt) or tried to fool me into thinking this is my fault or selling it to me as a **high standard**!! ... which is unethical and worse than having a broken service. ) Actually control of my domain name is gone and I expect very important emails on that and I am now praying that my problematic server comes up again. of course I am planning to move out of Vodien but I just need some time to do that properly.

Overall poor experience. Website has been down 4 times in as many months – Vodien bought out a local hosting company which I had happily been using for 10+ years but since then the service has gone downhill. postive note, Vodien marketing is great! I spent 20 minutes going back and forth on the phone with a sales rep trying to decipher what they actually meant by their catchy marketing terms. But this time was well worth it because I learnt some new tactics in how to sell things to people that they dont really need. EDIT: I wrote this review and didnt end up posting it. 2 weeks later and my site is down again so I came back to product reviews and my unposted review had been saved. Im submmiting it this time. Worst hosting company I have ever dealt.

constantly push me to "help" pages that don't exist and don't follow up. They promise to elevate my issues but never do, and then we start the process again.

At the point where I am now losing business because of this and am considering legal action.

I never registered my domain name with Vodien, they bought the company I used.

Buyer beware!!

Vodien have been terrible since they took over Cheap Domains. Their system is not linked to Cheap domains so whenever you try to do something in Vodien, it doesn't work then you have to spend hours telling Support to update it in the back end. Stay away from this hosting company unless you want to spend hours on the phone talking to staff that promise to fix their issues yet they do not! Then sell you an upgrade to say this is the issue but problem not fixed . When you ask for a refund as promised from their end suddenly you are over the 60 day promise because you are waiting for them to fix their issues . They are scammers and useless in providing you with minimal hosting speed .

they have debited my account a few hundred dollars. After spending 2 hours on live chat, i asked for a refund to which they offered a company credit. I had already changed providors 1 yr earlier so i paid for a full year of services i did not use. I find out today that i miraculously had another account which is how they debited my account. When i asked for a refund, they chrged me a pro rata fee for the day that my funs were taken out of my account. We have switched to Ventra IP which is an Australian company and will never look back. The fact they charged a pro rata fee for their error is absolutely terrible.

Suddenly unpublished my site and email. Their phone number was not working, just hung up after citing their business hours (I was calling during their open hours"...nor was live chat working... System demanded $5 to "publish" my already published site. And this from a service charging over market rates.

Wont provide service unless you fix your “unpaid invoice” even when you have six weeks subscription. So if you want to change providers, get all your stuff backed up well in advance! They try to lock you in with this kind of rubbish rather than offering a decent service. Tried to change from them for various services for years. They only really respond when they think they can sell you another add on. Really terrible.

I thought Voiden was a trustworthy company. It seems that it doesn’t matter that you are a paying customer, they will still sell your details to marketing companies.

period of calls for a week or so each bloody time I checked my website was down. NO explanation was ever given as to why it was down. Then after enduring their incompetence for a couple of years I was shutting one website down. I told them to cancel this service and I got it in writing from them that it would be cancelled and no further payments would be made to my credit card. I did this because I didn't trust their abilities and I thought they would yet again stuff it up. Well bugger me, yes they did stuff it up, they renewed my hosting service and charged my CC. After notifying them of yet another stuff up they told me I would have to pay a cancellation fee. I notified them that I was very clear that I wanted this website CANCELLED and I had a reply from them to conform it would be cancelled and no further payments would be deducted for this service. THEN EVEN AFTER PRESENTING THEM WITH THEIR OWN FRIGGIN EMAIL CONFIRMING THE SERVICE WOULD BE CANCELLED AND NO FURTHER PAYMENTS WOULD BE CHARGED, THEY THEN STATED i NEEDED TO PAY A CANCELLATION FEE. PLEASE PEOPLE DON'T USE THEM

scaled-up business plan with 100 email addresses!

I was naive enough to not check the details and pricing until much later. I called Vodien and told them how they’d deceptively oversold me and that I wanted a refund.

Surprise surprise, I never received a refund. And they’ve been phoning and emailing me ever since, trying to sell me products!

My hosting plan yearly renewal was due last week so I turned off the automatic renewal option on their website the week before.

They’ve still been emailing me reminder notices about my plan expiring.

Today they called me again so I told the guy I didn’t need the website or email addresses anymore – and he still tried to sell me a plan! I was furious, and said I’d be leaving online reviews of their shockingly bad service.

My advice to anyone considering Vodien? Stay away!

So I contacted support again and they again said the same thing that the server speed is great.

So i decided to move server.

After more than 16 years with Vodien, the inertia to move is so great, but I don't really have a choice since they can't resolve it.

And now guess what, my website is fast now!

It's crazy how fast my website is now as compared to when I was on Vodien. And that's also after support saying that the server is in great condition.

Their service now is unusable, so good luck to them and to future users.

In my 30 years in the internet and hosting industry, this is the worst provider I have ever come across. They bought out my excellent Sydney-based VPS/cPanel provider and then everything turned to sh!t. They are inflexible, rude, impossible to communicate with and on top of that they are down half the time. Avoid at all costs. cb.

Company rubbish. Tech support worse than rubbish. Customer service yeah right. Problems with emails created by Vodien but tried to blame others. Couldn't fix issue and lost money and time with my customers.As soo as I switched provider, problem went away. Funny that. Been fighting for refund, but they keep offering scraps just like their service.

I had replaced all my email addresses (after Internode dropped out) to one from my own website, that I had with them They reported me to the AU people after checking that my ABN had expired. unhelpful. I changed all my email addresses (everywhere, there must be a hundred instances of that email used) again to a gmail account. To change the registrant email addresses on my domains with them they wanted proof of ID. I supplied that. Then I was told I didn't need to do that. Later I wanted to move all the domains back to an Australian company. But I couldn't because the registrant email was still the old one. Again, I couldn't change it. They wanted proof of ID again, plus $99 for each domain. Despite all the other details of name, address and email addresses pointing to my gmail account they insisted that the AU people had to have the documentation plus the money. They may be right. But they were narky and unhelpful about it. The only alternative for me was to delete all the domains. I dislike this company and all who work there intensely.
