Vornado 6803DC

Power saving, powerful fan – I have a number of Vornado products, like their fans not so much their heaters. Vornado DC fan line up is where its at, powerful air movement, very quiet (under 80% speed) and impressive low electricity usage. The Vornado 6803DC has a stable base, is well designed and very easy to put together. Only things I'm not 100% happy with is the power button on the fan is always illuminated even when off (not too bad as its very dim) and there is no oscillating feature on this $300 fan (but I'm guessing this would increase the power draw). Over all, I'm very happy with my purchases.
Purchased in at Ibuyaustralia for $322.
Don't bother - not worth $429 – The fan is good, however, it is housed in cheap as chips low-grade plastic. It is not stable as in a sturdy way, a slight bump would knock it over as there is no weight in the base, just cheap plastic again. Easy to use digital display. Could they get the remote any small and cheap looking, 8cm x 3 cm - really!!! it would get lost in a heartbeat. This company is making a killing for a fan that is probably worth $50 tops...Don't believe the marketing this fan it is very cheap looking, I expected a lot for $429, why wouldn't I???
