Worst investment ever! – NOT worth the $2500… I was def talked into this by sales guy. I was after something easy to use due to back pain This is heavy and hard on back especially the mop section Nothing but trouble with the main brush head consistently burns out and has been repaired at least 8 times yet they don’t replace any parts they just hold it together. It… Read more
doesn’t support all carpets or rugs No one takes responsibility for this machine I have rugs and tiles It works ok on tiles but still heavy to maneuver Worst investment I have ever made! And can now see the machine has been discontinued!
Very expensive – Not worth the $25000 I paid for it.Should have gone with the Miele.I have timber floors with a few rugs. It is fine on the timber floors as well as the smooth rugs but not good on the Shags. Show details

A nightmare with customer service – Great vacuum until it fails as manufacturers do not want to send parts to. Australia contact ACCC as Vorwerk are legally required to supply parts and to provide an authorised service and repair agent for product. their products and response violates consumer laws and the ACCC PUT A FORMAL complaint in with fair trading and the ACCC specify you want a refund. I was told that headquarters refuse to send spare parts to Australia Show details

Best floor vacuum I’ve ever owned – I came across the reviews on this website and was really surprised at the problems others were having. I, like so many others, seem to only write reviews when something goes wrong. So because my husband and I have had such an awesome experience with this vacuum I felt I should let others know our experience. Firstly we have owned our Kobold… Read more
VK200 for about 10 months and will agree that the onboard tools are useless on this configuration. I prefer to use a hand-held duster for those smaller jobs around the house now. As a floor vacuum and mop we have never been so happy to do the floors, its not a chore for us anymore, it always brings a smile to our faces. The suction is second to none that I’ve ever owned and let me say that I’ve owned many an expensive vacuum, the mop on a large tiled area needs to change cloths a few times which is okay with me. I love the way it cleans my carpets leaving lines in them and automatically changes to the tiles without me having to do a thing. I love the way it stores in my cupboard, I have it hanging on the wall with the vacuum heads sitting on the floor. I love that its upright an not being dragged around hitting the back of my ankles and destroying my walls, it just glides around in-front of you and its such a pleasure to use this machine. We also bought the cordless one for our office and I love it too but it wouldn’t be able to do our whole house like the the mains power VK200.
Would I buy it again? Not a chance! – I use it on a stone floor downstairs and engineered flooring upstairs. The actual mop cleaner is OK on the stone, not great but OK. My tiles are still dirty at the end of it, the soap transfers dirty suds to the grout which is less than ideal and I'm trying to find another solution for the grout. The mop suction isnt powerful, I have to use the… Read more
vacuum head first. And the vacuum leaves a lot to be desired. I miss my old Henry! I usually chase bits of debris across the floor and eventually admit defeat and just pick it up. I'm talking the odd pea, or a bit of cereal, not large chunks of anything. It's completely hopeless. The machine broke after 3 months and it was collected by their after sales service and returned to me a few weeks later. It may be that it was never fixed properly but I must say my experience overall has been a negative one. I would like to leave this review for anyone wondering if this very expensive equipment is worth it. Not in my opinion anyway. There are much cheaper and more powerful solutions out there. Don't be persuaded by their very clever sales approach..
Best vaccum and floor cleaner I have ever used – I brought the Vorwerk floor cleaner after having my floors sanded back and waxed. My whole house, besides the bathrooms and laundry are wooden floors. I spent a small fortune on my floors and I wanted to protect them. The only vacuum I could find that didn’t have any parts that would scratch my new floors was the Vorwerk Kobold VK200. I love… Read more · 1
this machine, I can vacuum and mop the floor at the same time! This saves me so much time and energy. You can choose the amount of water, so low dirt, 1st level, more dirt, 2nd level and dirtiest, 3rd level. Same with the vaccum or you can put it on auto. I leave the mop attachment on, even just to vacuum. Having 3 Pomeranians and humans, I love this machine. It keeps my floor cleaner than before. I brought the Vorwerk because a friend had one for 20 years and only needed to buy a newer one because they no longer made the bags but it still worked! I love that they last a lifetime. I love that it also compresses the dirt and after 6 months, my bag is still empty! No emptying the vaccum, every other day. There are so many attachments, to clean upholstery, ceilings, architraves and every other space. When I cleaned my Mum’s place that had carpet and laminated floorboards, with the carpet/floor attachment, it was fantastic. It went automatically from carpet to floor boards. There had been a tenant with a dog living there and the bedroom was the only room with carpet. The Vorwerk collected all the hair off the carpet. I am totally impressed with this machine and would highly recommend it to anyone. I am over buying products that break and die after or even before their warranty and end up in landfill. I want products that last, just like they used too and this was another reason for buying the Vorwerk Kobold VK200. I have had it now for 7 months now with no issues and love how efficient and effective it is.
Positive reviews
I’ve never experienced a better vac – As The lady in the previous comment said, I’m surprised at the negative reviews as it cleans dog hair and is an exceptional machine. I have a white cat, malts all summer I wish I could vacuum my clothes as it cleans every single hair from carpets in one go! How does the brush stay clean? I’ve used mine all year and only just recently needed to… Read more
replace the bag. The only negative I can think of is It is heavy when doing stairs. Its power adjusts as u move from floor to carpet & the suction strength is 10 times better than any vac I’ve owned. I laughed when she said she enjoys using it, I totally agree!
Great Upright Vacuum – I have a very small house with carpeted and vinyl floors. I bought the Worwerk Kobold VK200 plus the carpet freshener VF200 and Upholstery motor brush PB440. Using the vacuum as an upright works great. Very maneuverable, but when the accessories are connected, it makes the machine very awkward to move around the house while cleaning. There is… Read more
only a shoulder strap to use and so the machine gets in the way while using the accessories. So I actually use my Sauber Intelligence si-200 more with it’s accessories attached, which a great machine but when vacuuming floors it becomes hard to maneuvre around the house. So I sort of use both machines. The Vorwerk is built very well, and seems to vacuum quite well, but there is no way of telling if it is cleaning as well as my Sauber. I have not filled a dust bag yet as I have only had the Worwerk Kobold VK200 for 3 months. I did use the freshener attachment once in my living room just to see how it went, I thought that might have filled the bag. The freshener accessory, for me was worth the extra money. My carpet came up nice. The vacuum can lay very flat so vacuuming under the bed is easy and it can be maneuvered while under there quite easily. Pros; Built well Easy to manoeuvre when vacuuming floors Quite, quiet Long power cord Looks good Cons; No light on vacuum head No visible way of telling how well it is cleaning my carpet. Awkward to use with the accessories attached Expensive Would I buy again; Yes
Excellent for pets and time poor – Did my first vacuum and mop with this amazing product and I am sooooo happy! Bought a Shark a couple weeks ago and it couldn’t even vacuum dog hair without clogging. Hubby freaked out about the price of the VK200 and the additional SP600 mop, but I bought it on a plan so I feel a bit easier about that. We are a 4 person family with 2 teen boys… Read more · 1
(mud on shoes!), a Tradie husband (small pebbles caught in boots, mud, dirt etc) and 2 medium sized dogs that are inside at night, and sleep in our bedroom on the carpet. These dogs are short haired but malt all the time. First advice..... read the instruction manual!!! It will tell you how to use the Auto, Soft, Med and Max settings and when to use them. I kept it on Auto the whole time and didn’t skip a beat! I vacuumed first, as I hadn’t been able to do a good vacuum for a long time (my Dyson was broken and I didn’t realise and the Shark did nothing). It was very easy to move around, light and the auto mode adjusted perfectly from my hard tiles to my rugs and then to my pile carpet in the bedrooms. Long cord is an absolute bonus! When I got to vacuuming the bedrooms I was so shocked at the efficiency of the suction. Even on Auto mode it got all the dog hair out of the carpet. I tested it in max mode and couldn’t move it! Hahaha. Excellent suction! I tried the shoulder strap with the hose and that was awkward but I think I need to just work out how to wear it properly. I def need the hose to get into all the corners and behind pot plants etc, so I will work that out soon. I then used the mop (SP600) attachment with no high expectation on its cleaning ability, as I have used a steam mop in the past and that was close to useless. Well, I wasn’t expecting it to vibrate!! My tiles are semi-matte, so the really show steaks etc and this mop left no streaks with an excellent clean when it dried. I was impressed with how little amount I needed to use of the cleaning solution, which means it will last a long time. Godfreys guy said they just use vinegar and water in theirs at home but the instruction manual said don’t use anything acidic like vinegar, so I will stick to the proper cleaning solution. Now that I have an easy and efficient way of cleaning my floors, I am going to see how the mop performs as a two-in-one next time I vacuum and mop. How good it picks up the dirt and hairs whilst vacuuming at the same time, we shall see. I am not worried if I need to do the jobs separately as it was a breeze to do both anyway. So, overall, this is a winner!! It will last a long time. One very, very happy person right here.
Negative reviews
Mop head and vacuum – I'm so over the mop head with sensor issues. I never can get through mopping the house without the sensor stopping me. What a waste off money.also now it's flashing red. The lack of service for such an expensive item is terrible Show details
Frustrated with this vacuum cleaner – We have dogs with long fur and it just doesn’t pick the fur up from the carpet. So I end up with a furry house regardless of how often I vacuum. I wish I had of taken it back and regret how much I spent on it given it doesn’t so what I need it to. That being said it does a pretty good job on tiles. Show details
Wish i had read the reviews first,i wouldn't purchase this brand again, frustrating after spending over $2,000 – Difficult to operate.......the extra wand for cleaning under beds etc, swivels, making it so frustrating, just not an easy machine to use.....

Not a patch on my old Hoover – I took one home on an overnight paid trial; it goes back tomorrow for a refund. I asked the salesman whether it was power assisted and he affirmed it is. But it is NOT. I find it very hard to push/pull and heavy as well. The motor is housed in the upright section instead of on the floor, which it makes it heavy to use. My old Hoover Turbo WAS… Read more
turbo assisted. Much like power steering on a car, I could manoeuvre it with two fingers. As well as the turbo assisted push/pull, the motor was housed on the floor above the brushes so it was very light on the arm. I believe that for the RRP Vorwerk ask, they need to do a complete re-design and house the motor on the floor section and include power drive. THEN I'll happily pay their asking price. But, for now, I'll stick with the old barrel cleaner.

We got a lemon – The machine was purchased about 4 years being a German brand we expected quality but got a lemon. 1600 dollar vacuum. It’s been in repair more times than I can remember. It’s had it’s entire insides changed. Now the brush roller needs repair. 50 dollar part 150 to repair. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anybody. Show details
Mop head has failed twice – I purchased my cleaner in May 2021. The vacuum is great. The mop head failed (water sensor issues) in August 2021. It spent a month getting “repaired” only to be replaced in full, which was great. However, now the second replacement mop is having the same problem. Very frustrating. Will have to take the whole unit back again. Godfreys a won’t just… Read more
send the mop head away for checking - they send the whole machine, so am now facing another month+ without a vacuum or mop.
I am actually disappointed in the vacuum, it certainly does not have the suction of a other cleaners – I use on carpet and tiles and couch. Relatively well depending on your previous vacuum, upgrades are not always worth the upgrade. If you were to have a basic vacuum then this is a fantastic product by far, I just feel I have downgraded. Show details
DONT BUY THE MOP HEAD!!! – We have had our vacuum cleaner for 5 years, the vacuum itself is excellent. DO NOT waste your money on the mop head. I hardly used mine, but tried to love it and use it from time to time, recently it stopped working, kept stopping (as if cloth was too damp). I took it in for a service and was told there are no parts available for it and that we… Read more
would have to purchase a new one. at the cost of $1000.00. I have tried contacting Vorwerk directly and found that they are owned by Godfreys in Australia. Godfreys tell me its a Vorwerk issue. When you pay this sort of money you expect more than 5 years from it and given I hardly used it.

vacuum and mop on one machine – Best corded machine ever had in my life. It's German made with the best quality and most powerful suction power. The mop head is just a life saver. I use to spend at least 2 hours on vacuuming and mopping my floors and tiles, but now it only takes me 20 mins coz it does at the same time. It does a perfect mopping job on my floors and tiles, it… Read more · 1
doesn't leave water marks and streaks like most steam mops do. The hard floor head comes with it is so handy, it's so versatile that I can easily get into the corners, along the skirting boards. The power head picks every thing on carpet and hard floors. it also smells nice while vacuuming. Instead of constantly buying cheap ones, vorwerk is like a life time purchase. it's a lot of money but worth every cent.
I LOVE IT! – I first gave a review of this vacuum almost 3 years ago. I have had a handle (plastic split) needed repair which wasn't covered, even though it was overpriced for what it was. Now the motor has gone, and they want $500 for the repair. I cannot get Vorwerk to replace as it was purchased in the UK, and I now live in Australia. At this price point… Read more · 1
it should last over 3 years.
I am extremely disappointed. It was sold to me as a lifestyle investment, like their thermomix, not an overpriced unreliable cheap vacuum, which unfortunately it has become.
What a sucker – Cleaner is fantastic such powerful suction but the bag indicator lights don't work, bag was beyond full with no indication as stated this is disappointing ecpecially being a brand new cleaner Show details · 1
Amazing vacuum in our apartment with timber / carpet floors – Amazing product, simple to use and is a dream to clean with! We have a 2 bedroom apartment and it makes cleaning so time effective. The bags last a long time and it has taken us 1.5 year to go through the standard box I think there are 5 or 6 per box, we bought 2 more and should be fine for a long time. We don’t have pets, so can’t speak for pet… Read more · 1
hair removal, but me and my wife have both long hair and it picks it all up. Just remember to take the power head brush bar out and cut the hair off every 2 or so cleans. The attachments are great. Overall very good quality and worth the $2000+ price tag, this is of course subjective.
Best vacuum ever. I am in love with it – This is my favourite appliance and the best vacuum I have ever had for numerous reasons. I have shoulder pain and it doesn't hurt to use it. It adapts to each carpet if used in the auto mode. (My other vacuum was impossible to move on some piles.) The cord is long so you don't have to keep changing power points. It can lay down flat so you can… Read more · 1
get it under furniture easily. It is extremely quiet. It's just beautiful. It's not cheap but I'm so happy with it. Godfreys was also fantastic. Really good customer service.

Ok, expensive, not great with animal hair – Easy to use but attachments are a wates of time, shoulder strap is awkward. Normal head works well on hard floors, but pet hair blocks it up. Bag indicator seems to not work, bag was full, suction cutting out, lights saying it still good. Bag also filled quicker than the sales person said it would. Told it would easily last a year for a 2 by 1 house, once or twice a week. Guess its a dirty house. All in all its not worth the price Show details
Stay away from Godfrey’s and this Machine! – Biggest waste of money Ever! On my floor boards it doesn’t even pick up the rubbish, only pushes them along which is very frustrating when it takes three times as long to vacuum an area. It has ruined all my hand woven rugs- as even the slowest spin setting pulls at the ends of the rugs. Which then means the machine stops working and essentially… Read more
needs to be “reset”. In my carpeted areas it becomes so hard to push and manoeuvre the machine that I just simply can not vacuum and have to get my husband to finish the task. Has a bunch of useless attachments that are very awkward to use that I have simply given up on them. Overall i regret getting this machine every time I come to use. Honestly the only good thing about this so called vacuum cleaner is the long cord, other than that...by far the worst piece of equipment I have purchased to date. 100% Ripoff! Don’t be fooled!

when your kids don't mind vacuuming your onto something good – this is the best investment i have made for the house. it makes cleaning so easy, knows when it is changing from hardfloors and going to carpet, adjusts the suction. all the attachments really make a difference. the only thing that is odd is the shoulder strap, dont know if im not using that properly or its just a bit awkward. other than that best investment for the house Show details
The best hand stick vacuum ever! – The best hand stick Vacuum by far. So easy to use and pull along floor. Has the best suction on carpet and hard floors. Lightweight and a very well designed hand stick vacuum. We also got the mop with it which vacuums and mops at same time, its brillant. No more batteries going flat either with a long electric cord. This is an extremely good quality product. Thank you Vorwerk. Show details
Greatest Vacuum Ever ....all In One Cleaning System – I purchased this vacuum cleaner last year and cant get any better than this. the power head, even it is best for picking up hairs ..i have used many vacuums like Dyson and Miele but nothing comes closer to this Rolls Royce of vacuum my wife loves this vacuum. my wife loves this vacuum more than i do.
Great vacuum cleaner... Just waoooo!!!!! Best of the best – i am really lucky to have a vacuum for everyday use, easy, lightweight, easy to maneuver, mop and vacuum at the same time ...amazing filtration without buying filter separately ...i call it a Thermomix of vacuum cleaning Show details
NOT a pet vacuum – Extremely expensive and bad design. Long pet hair gets caught in the roller brush and the mechanical ends, but apparently this is just maintenance (pulling apart the vacuum after every use?) Even the hard floor brush seems to collect more hair than the actual vacuum. Go through a bag a week, and they are not cheap! Cant cope with slate floor, the… Read more
automatic head switches power head on and off all the time. No interest at all from Godfreys who sold the vacuum as a specific pet hair vacuum which it is not. Don't waste your money. Something from Kmart would work better.
Best ever stick vacuum. No compromise with the quality – I have both carpet and hard floor. This vacuum has every feature that I need to do a deep and daily cleaning because this is the most convenient vacuum you can ever have. Show details
Vorwerk good suction everything else very average – After research, I went into Godfreys, asked the sales person for the very best machine. while working. Bending, it falls off you, the strap hurt neck and shoulders and you have to stop put it all down to change attachments mid way. Also hate the cord, no retraction and not long enough. Was told Bruce won’t get wound up with hair like my stain but it does. Save you money and buy something easier to use.
Best investment ever – This vacuum has been a god send!!! 12 months on I do not regret spending a small fortune on it! Only negative I found was the bags but that’s not a deal breaker. Cleans perfectly!! Gets into tight spots and takes half the time compared to my other vacuum. Just need the multi floor tool now! Show details
Every day machine, easy to use – Machine has good power, and great performance. We have been please with the weight of the machine (very light) and in the automatic floor power head (does both hard floors and carpet without changing anything). Using the hand-tools can be a slight pain as you have to attach it, but a minor complaint (we still prefer it) Bags last a good time and the machine feels sturdy. I would recommend this machine. The bags are very small and fill up fast. On top of the expensive purchase price the bags are an ongoing expense.
