Great frame, poor net and mat sadly – For the cost of this trampoline, you're better off spending another $100 and going with Springfree. The 10 year frame warranty that Vuly offer is pointless when the net lasts less than a year before ripping and then the mat fails before its four years old. Vuly support are hopeless, they're only interested in the 12 month warranty and do not… Read more

Roof Broke Down after 5 weeks! Will not honor the warranty because it is not a manufacturing defect – Even thought my trampoline is ONLY 6 weeks old and I have an original receipt, they still will not cover the ripped roof! Apparently, you supposed to take the roof down after EVERY use! If it rains, you must run down and take it off since the roof can ONLY withstand a sprinkling rain. So, the picture that you see on the other websites showing the… Read more

Anyway, my roof wasn't fitting right from the beginning and I send an email to complain about it, never got a reply. Moreover, Vuly US does not have sun shade roof that let the rain go through, so I'm stuck with the tent kind of roof. Awful Quality and hard to deal Customer Service!

So Annoyed and disappointed – We bought the medium Thunder Summer tent in 2016. Within the first year, it was destroyed. The entrance completely frayed and sagged. It is now an unsafe trampoline to use, as we had a visitor 2 years of age completely fall out of the trampoline and hurt himself quite badly. We will never recommend this trampoline brand to anyone. disappointed with the customer service. I tried to make a claim, but because it only just fell out of the year warranty, they could do nothing. I could have bought a trampoline for a sixth of the price we paid, to have the same outcome! I can't tell you how angry I am about it all.

Expect more for the $$$ – We purchased this trampoline for Christmas in 2015. This was to replace a (much) cheaper model that was destroyed by the wind, but had lasted for 4 years without major issue. After much consideration we decided that with 3 kids under 6, investing in the much touted Vuly Thunder would be a great investment. However within a year the entrance… Read more

was frayed and sagging. A section of the net has now separated from the mat making the trampoline unusable.

After calling support today it was disappointing being told that I would need to spend $300+ to fix a $1600 trampoline after only 2 years. If I had known this at the time of purchased I would have never purchased this trampoline in the first place. I now have 3 very disappointed children who love to jump.

Love the trampoline, but not loving the sunshade – We purchased a vuly almost 2 years ago as our two boys are on the autism spectrum and a trampoline is great for gross motor skills. In cyclone Debbie, we lost the original sunshade .... damaged from rain etc. I ordered a replacement sunshade, checked the serial number and the correct size and BINGO ! It Does Not Fit. Understand why it's discontinued – I bought this trampoline for our child thinking it was worth the $1200 + $200 installation fee. skin.

March this year I emailed vuly as On my invoice its claims the frame has a ten year warranty so I emailed vuly with photos. The response I received was "it appears its just surface rust on the leaf springs and net poles" I was sent leaf spring covers and also told the metal components only have a one year warranty then the conversation was "closed".

July we completely took the trampoline apart as we were moving house. The whole trampoline is rusted I email vuly again with photos to be told again the net poles only have a 1 year warranty? Are these not apart of the frame? I also email pictures of the parts that sit in the net poles only to have response of "I'm not sure what part of the trampoline this part is, it doesn't seem like we sell it".

And the offer of replacement parts is a joke, may as well buy a whole new trampoline, they aren't cheap parts.

It's understandable this trampoline was discontinued as my sister bought the next model after this one no more than six months after me and hers still looks brand new.

Terrible customer service – Needed to contact vuly, for some info about anchors. The first time I rang, I was put on hold for a very long time only to be hung up on. Then I called back and left a message and my number after being prompted by the recorded voice that vuly could call me back ASAP. Weeks later I still haven't been called back. Don't waste your money! – We are really disappointed, with both the tramp and the lack of customer service that we have experienced with Vuly since starting the warranty claim process. the stitching has totally unravelled on two straps that attach the net to the polls and about to unravel on a third. The kids have actually only jumped on the tramp for 8 months as we moved house and didn't put it up in the rental. We can't believe that the net would fail after only 8 months of use by a 4 and 6 yr old! I was shocked to find out from Vuly that the tramp net only has a one year warranty! I had figured it must have been a known manufacturers fault, but clearly the materials used are just dodgy. I called Vuly 3 times last week to discuss the claim. I was put on hold twice and then cut off. The third time I was told that someone would return my call that afternoon but almost a week later I have not heard from them. Definitely disappointed as are the kids as they have no trampoline for the school holidays.

We love this tramoline – We all love this tramoline, parents and kids! Our vuly Thunder is very bouncy, great quality and quite simple to assemble! So far it has weathered well. The free tent however not so much! The UV affected it to a point that it became very fragile and tore at the seams (hence its been discontinued now). Overall very happy with out trampoline:)

Awesome trampoline – The Vuly Thunder is strong and sturdy with great bounce. The opening without a zip gives me peace of mind that my children will not fall out if they forget to zip up. The tent is a bonus but the tent design for this model is hard to use. The newer design looks better. Mat and net still in great condition after 3 years of use although the stitching at the opening is fraying.

My Boys are really enjoying it! Great Bounce! – We have had our Vuly Thunder Summer, 4 weeks now and my 4 boys are loving it, it's got a great Bounce and seems good Quality, my kids have enjoyed the Tent also. It is annoying on Grass as it so heavy and you can't mow under it. It wasn't easy to put together and pulling the Leaf springs to the Mat was tough, but it looks great!

When I Got It Home, It Was Piece Of Junk! – One star you mean I have to give this one star, ZERO stars is more suitable. I would advise people to steer well clear of this fantabulous contraption until VULY address the build quality of their product… Read more

and also their customer service. What a shame I can't attach a few photos.

Well where to begin,

I will start with the welding of the frame. It is bad, for arguments sake let's call it average. I think the factory may have run out of Argon gas when they welded mine. I would not expect the welds to last under any real load.

Look at my user pic closer, that's a 'VULY' weld.

Now to the steel, that's where this gets funny. One of the supporting beams split whilst my wife and I attempted to put it together. Vuly had the cheek to ask me how I managed to do it, it was a mean feat I know, you can now call me Hercules. Well Vuly I will tell you how it happened, your manufacturer is using poor quality steel, simple. I suspect you already know that. On your website VULY you claim to use Australian steel, I ask you VULY what part of it was made with Australian steel?

Customer service, well that only exists at VULY if you are happy to replace parts on your brand new trampoline, they will welcome you with open arms, do not ask for a refund as it will fall on deaf ears.

Be warned, it is my opinion this trampoline is unsafe. It has spring steel under pressure sitting in soft pliable metal with no reinforcement or real locking mechanism. You be the judge.

My son will not be getting the trampoline that he wanted for Christmas as I have returned it to where it came from. I will be looking at other brands in the near future.

I count my family as lucky.

Cheers,

Sandgroper.

P.S. Doo, don't believe it, it snapped because the steel is like aluminium foil.

Tramp is excellent but the tent is not – We purchased a large Thunder trampoline for the kid's Christmas present in October last year. The tramp itself is fantastic but the tent frayed and ripped within a few months. We live in WA and were told that we could use the tent as sun protection for the kids but as it turns out it apparently should not be used for long periods (for example summer!) To replace the tent is quite expensive so other buyers should be aware.  Show 2 replies

Warranty is laughable – We purchased the trampoline in January 2015 and the net is falling to pieces already! We have to pay for a replacement plus shipping and it's less than 12 months old. The entrance began freying and we noticed a hole on the bottom of the net which was put down to accidental or willful damage. Absolutely disgusted our trampoline worth over $1000 can't sustain one child for 12 months. Won't be buying or recommending vuly in the future.

Do Not Buy a Vuly - its the worst trampoline on the market – We purchased the Vuly Thunder but in less than 6 months, we have rust all over the frame on the joints, leaf springs & poles, rip in mat and the material is disintegrating on the net. dollar at over $1000+.

We have owned two cheaper trampolines prior to purchasing the Vuly and they both lasted several years and did not rust. Our Vuly in a short 6 month period has a combination of faults so do not waste your money thinking you are purchasing a quality trampoline that will last. May I also point out Vuly's false advertising - On the Vuly website it states “Resistant to rust, scratches and cracks, Thunder's frame will last a lifetime in tip-top condition.” This statement could not be further from the truth.

What makes matters even worst is the customer service or lack of and the non existent warranty. I sent a complaint a month ago and today after several follow up emails I am advised Vuly will do nothing about the frame even though it has a 10 year warranty. Just to clarify the non existent 10 year warranty is frame only the rest of the trampoline only has a 12 month warranty which is the same as your cheaper trampolines.

Thunder poor design of leaf Springs – we've only had the thunder for 4 months now (xmas present for the kids). Within 1 month the tent was ripped - Vuly warranty support was excellent and they sent us a new tent for free! However, it's the same design with the same design flaw as mentioned throughout this review, However more recently (at 4 months) we've had a worse problem - a… Read more

leaf spring broke! Luckily the sheath stopped the broken spring from causing more damage or injury.

Vuly wasn't so keen to help this time and sent us 3 leaf springs but charged us $20 to ship. It took 3 weeks to arrive.

The design flaw is that the leaf spring is covered in some enamel (I think epoxy based) paint. BUT the rivet pop-joints are weak points and since the leafs must be able to move they cant be sealed.... or painted internally hence a rust target. We took a look at the break under magnification and it seems that water will always get into the joints of the leaf spring.

The sheath's worsen the problem as they are permeable and retain moisture. I recommend that Vuly develop a mechanism to seal these joints - perhaps a silicon rubber sheath? or grease? I know you can't coat the inside joints since the movement of the springs will wear this away quickly...

I also recommend that vuly include some spare leaf springs as standard - this is why the warranty for the leaf springs is only 1 year while the frame is 10 years!!!

Vuly knows these break and will not last long!!

If you are planning to buy a vuly, try negotiate the extended warranty for the mat, springs and net for free with the retailer. Or just buy a Springfree instead.

The Buy, The Build & 6 Months Down The Track – So... This is an addition to my last review titled - The Buy & The Build. Now 6 months or so later, we are still completely happy with the Vuly Frame, the mat, the surrounds. The whole trampoline structure looks the same as the day we built it. sweep it out daily, but it is just part of our ritual to bounce and boing with joy.

The only thing that has 'come undone' for us, has been the tent. We put the roof on only a few weeks back to protect for summer. It was great because it also kept the leaves off and bouncing seemed to cause enough movement for most of the debris to leap off the roof so... YAY! Then we got a little rain and I went to drain it. The central drain system doesn't cope well with leaves and other debris complicating the matter. I resolved it by bringing a bucket into the trampoline and keeping the drain tube as straight as possible to prevent blockage. Patience was also a factor into my success. However, a week later, we had a bit of an unexpected deluge. Hubby went out to empty the roof this time... Eeeek! The drain blocked up right away and without thinking about it too much, he simply tried pushing up on the ceiling to see if the water would pour over the sides. The whole roof simply gave way. There are rips evident along the stitching, then into the fabric itself. There is also a tear around on of the pole connection points... my husband says he thinks that was caused before he pushed onto the ceiling simply from the roofs inability to deal with the weight of the water. SOOOOOO... The instructions for the roof are clear, they say when it is raining to leave the drain open so that water can descend and prevent an issue like this... problem for us was that it is mid-summer and we really didn't expect it to rain. Perth is pretty dry all summer and even when they promise rain, it never seems to happen.

VULY's Response:

Anyway, I have called Vuly, been honest. They were very relaxed, open and helpful. They have asked me to take pictures and to send our story through to them for assessment. Not sure what will happen next. I am hopeful that as the roof is still under some warranty they will be able to assist us with replacement. Unfortunately, at present the roof and walls (ours have never been used) are currently only sold as a package. Vuly have already assured me that this is an issue they are addressing and promise that the roof will be available to purchase separately in the very near future.

OK! So that is my update regarding the Vuly Thunder. I'd still buy the whole package again... I'd just make sure that the drain was in the open position BEFORE a deluge!!!!

Have fun jumping!!

team were fantastic to say the least!

Delivery of my trampoline was within 5 days of my purchase, much to the delight of my kids!

Upon inspecting all the parts delivered (7 boxes of parts) I was impressed with the quality of everything provided and immediately knew I was getting value for the money I had payed!

So the next step was for me to build this thing and in truth, I was dreading the thought!! But to my delight vuly had provided an instructional video on YouTube which provides clear directions and visual demonstrations which simplifies the process! It took me a little over an hour by myself to construct. Once built, the trampoline looks sturdy and oozes quality which should be expected due to its price tag! The trampoline itself has probably the best bounce and feel to it. We have a spring free at the inlaws and although the kids also love that, I feel the vuly does a better job in all departments! I guess the only issues I would see is if you don't have an Internet connection, you won't be able to access their instructional video. Their product did not come with a hard copy instructional booklet! Perhaps if vuly provided the instructional video via DVD with their product might be the solution to that problem.. But in saying that, who does not have Internet these days?

Overall, great experience and I would happily do business again with them!!

The trampoline is absolutely brilliant. Our 3 year old can't keep away in the couple of days since we have had it set up. It is very well made with strong materials and stitching.

All the promotional material for the Vuly Thunder show a person jumping higher than the net enclosure. I thought it would be an over dramatisation, for effect. But when I had a go, I was jumping easily higher than the net enclosure but still felt very safe. It is a lot of fun for me as well as our 3 year old.

The other great thing about it is that when she is on the trampoline by herself, she is completely safe. She actually made a game up which involved bouncing off the net enclosure.

When making the purchase decision, we were tossing up between the Vuly Thunder and a Springfree but are very pleased we decided on the Thunder. We will be recommending this trampoline to anyone who asks.
