Trying to get them to fix my pool for months sunken around the edge and paid for pencil compaction buyer beware! Show details
Pool leaks – When the installation process started the site manger pegged out the pool wrong to our discussion, after install and commissioning the pool lost water more than other pools we owned. When the owner came by to look they said it was evaporating with no more actual checks. After a heavy rains and no need to back wash we did the bucket test and showed… Read more
there was a leak like we thought and no response from the company except for a leak detection company. This leak is due to poor install and rough tradesmen who admitted to not knowing much about pools when doing the plumbing. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Our leak hasn’t been fixed which it should have under warranty but the company refused to do anything in the warranty period.
Very happy :) – We have recently had a pool installed by wa fibreglass, from walking in and chatting to Len about our options for our awkward shaped back garden, Brett the supervisor who came out and wasn’t fazed by the bad access and weird shaped garden, Jamie and Dylan who did a fab job digging (even after finding 3 soakwells) , Joel who did the plumbing and… Read more
Luke who did compaction. It was a great, friendly experience. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who wants a pool in the future. I visited other showrooms and left unhappy as I didn’t feel I was helped in anyway. But these guys from day 1 were great. Slight hiccup in the end regarding handover. But it was rectified very fast and absolutely no issue in getting it rectified. Cannot thank them enough for our pool install. The names I mentioned and everyone in between have been great Thanks again guys
Great pools for small spaces – Our install with WA Fibreglass pools was great. Our little pool (4.5 x 2.25) is fabulous! Show details
Terrible workmanship and no liability – Hows this for an installation. Our pool was installed in may. So it was in the ground for about 10 to 12 weeks. The pool has bowed already and one side has sunk. When the pool was installed the 1 pencil compacting contractor spent all up 45 min to a hour pencil compacting. I've rang other pool and compacting companies and was told they spend 3 to… Read more
5 hours compacting with 2 people on a pencil compactor. This is not the first run in with the company. The site was not leveled out and cleaned up at the end of installation like we were told when we signed up and payed for the pool cash. I called the owner about that to and had to argue with hi. To get them back to finish a half butted job. I've called the owner of WA fibreglass pools Brendan and pretty much told its not there fault and told me to get screwd. SPASA WA could not help us with negotiating with the company. So now we have to seek legal action. Our 2 kids ( 5 and 7) are devastated they won't have a pool this year because we cannot afford to fix it after paying 30k cash and saving for years on end to afford one.
DO NOT USE this company you will regret it.
Brilliant service – Experience in the showroom was easy and not pushy at all. Pricing was very competitive. Install was so stress free and enjoyable. Company has been professional and extremely easy to communicate with. Show details
Terrible Service and Product – When buying the pool we were told to contact them with any concerns we had, they were there to help. Pool then installed, had problems from day one including selling us pumps etc that were not suitable for its location, discolouring of the pool happening with just a week or so after purchase. Tried calling not returning calls and not interested in helping. Would not recommended to anyone. Show details
Lumpy Pool Floor – My WA Fibreglass pool was installed at my home on Tuesday 24 August 2021.On 13 September 2021 I took my first swim in my pool and became aware of very pronounced peaks and troughs or ‘lumps’ in the floor of the pool. I notified WA Fibreglass immediately of this issue. The WA Fibreglass Pools site supervisor attended our house on 15 September… Read more
2021, he conducted a quick walk around the outside of our swimming pool and advised us that lumps in the pool flooring were commonplace and nothing to be concerned about. He re-attended our on Friday 17 September 2021 to take video footage of the pool floor for management to review, on this occasion he disclosed that he has ‘seen worse’ floors than ours’. No measurements of any kind were taken of our pool floor to quantify or accurately assess the lumps in the flooring.
As a result of having an unsatisfactory response from WA Fibreglass I had an inspection carried out by a pool inspector at my own expense. My inspector stated that, “The bulge that we observed measures approximately 35cm of the floor area and the bulge rises 3cm at one end and 2.5cm at the other"
“It is our opinion that the underground soil has not been levelled correctly and has left protrusions at this location and has therefore caused the bulge in the fiberglass swimming pool floor. We observed a slight dip in the swimming pool floor at the shallow end near where we observed the bulge, which in our opinion indicates that the swimming pool shell has slightly twisted at this location as the swimming pool has settled on uneven soil."
On Monday 4th October 2021, three people from WA Fibreglass attended our home to inspect the floor for a third time. The three people in attendance from WA Fibreglass were two Directors / Owner and their ‘Expert’. Again no equipment was brought to enable them to conduct any form of comprehensive inspection. The inspection that was carried out on this day amounted to standing on the edge of the pool and using my pool pole to push over the pool flooring.
During this inspection the WA Fibreglass ‘Expert’ conceded that there was a defect with the floor and said that WA Fibreglass should rectify the issue. Two options to correct the defect were suggested by their ‘Expert’.
The WA Fibreglass ‘Expert’ proceeded to tell me that if I ‘took this matter to court I would not win against a big company like WA Fibreglass’.
At the conclusion of WA Fibreglass’ third inspection of our pool floor they advised that they would respond in writing with a proposed course of action. I subsequently sent two emails to seek a timely resolution to this issue. On both occasions I was advised that they are awaiting advice from their Structural Engineer.
After four and a half business days had passed since the third WA Fibreglass inspection of my pool and I still did not had a response. I then submitted a complaint to SPASA.
It has now been over seven weeks since my pool was installed with my plans for landscaping and the completion of our yard grinding to a halt. Scheduled dates with landscaping contractors have been lost, my front driveway is obstructed by seven pallets of pavers, my rear yard is baron and I have sand throughout my house and I continue to incur the ongoing cost for temporary fencing.
My family and I have suffered a significant amount of undue stress as a result of the defect with the pool flooring and the manner in which WA Fibreglass have dealt with it.
This afternoon I had a telephone conversation with one of the Directors / Owner to advise him that I was going to begin speaking publicly of my experience with WA Fibreglass. The Director / Owner advised me that the last time someone spoke poorly of WA Fibreglass they did not get the compensation that they were pursuing.
I will provide further updates with the result of the SPASA complaint and the actions of WA Fibreglass.

Poor customer service – I've recently had a pool installed by WA fibreglass pools and have been left very disappointed by the service I've received. On the day of the install the dig Crew before starting work wanted another $300 cash from me for what they considered overburden. They explained to me that the level of the sand was slightly higher towards the back of the… Read more
pool therefore needing extra to be removed, in the interest of getting the install completed in a tidy manner with no extra sand left behind I offered to transfer the $300 right away into WA fibreglass pools bank account however the three of them would not accept bank deposit as to keep it off the books. As I do not keep cash on me I managed to borrow $200 off my partner and offered that however they refused and asked me where i want to leave the 5-6 m3 of sand and we agreed on a large area several metres away from the pool dig. The rest of the shell install was completed that day and I was left with a large pile of sand in the agreed location however I was also left with an even larger pile right in the middle of my footpath up the side of my shed blocking easy access to half of the backyard (See picture) After waiting and trying to sort this out for over a week WA Fiberglass pools refused to help in anyway and i was left to move the sand by hand to the orignal position i had asked for it to left in (This took me nearly a whole day). One more thing to note is the pool was installed unevenly (10mm difference in height between the corners) although this is just in tolerance you can notice the uneven waterline. Please do as much research on pool building companys BEFORE you sign up as once WA Fibreglass pools has your money they are not interested at all in your concerns.
Long weekender – We went round all the pool shops and found these guys were the best people to deal with! We instantly jelled with the salesman Steve, who wasn’t pushy & listened to what we wanted & totally made it all work with the space we had. Rob, did an excellent job of overseeing the whole installation. The young guy who did the pencil compaction was very… Read more
good at his job. The chemical handover by Steve was fantastic & extremely valuable for someone like us, with little knowledge of pools/ chemicals/ maintenance Kelli in the office was great, we had a couple of issues which were dealt with straight away We were very impressed overall and in particular with one of the owners appearing to oversee installation. We highly recommend this company
Second rate product – Had a pool installed by these guys and having the paper work from the pool shop ( tested weekly) they still denied anything was wrong even with the gel coat so faded it looked awful, the sales man wash their hands as soon as you e signed and the owner is an so aggressive to deal with , be warned there’s much better company’s out there , also on goggle reviews they have great reviews from people with the same second name , really !!! Unexperienced staff and terrible service – I bought a pool from them about a year and a half ago. Once the contract is signed, they dont care about you. Their after sales service is non-existent. Ive had some problems since day one and every time I contact them, they try resolve everything over the phone because they cant be bothered to come in person even though it is under warranty or… Read more
sometimes, they tell me to contact Astral, the supplier, directly. If Im lucky theyll make a visit and even then, they dont think to change their attitude, instead they make it very obvious that they dont want to be there. The staff have very limited experience and it in their lack of product knowledge, and how to treat customers. The control unit is fixed in a way that makes it impossible to clean the filters; I have to dismantle it to gain access. (see images) Our heat pump isnt fixed to the ground, it can easily be knocked over. The control unit is fixed in a way that makes it impossible to clean the filters; I have to dismantle it to gain access. Instead they conduit off cuts as packing underneath. (see images). When I called last regarding our promised yearly inspection, they hung up on us. When I spoke to the manager, he threatened to sue me if I left a bad review online. Id love to see him try.
Don't get anything from WA Fibreglass unless you after terrible products, installation and service.
Toxic Substance found in Gelcoat. Pool Failed after 18months. Not covered under warranty. Won't confirm if Pool is SAFE! – We purchased our pool in Dec 2016 , it is now just 2 years old. I have attached photos of our pool . We have asked for a written report- NONE given. We have asked if our pool is SAFE to swim in - No answer! We have asked and asked and - NO Answer. WA Fibreglass Pools - have stated that Our Pool is not covered under Warranty despite it now… Read more
only being 2 years old. I have been trying to get answers since July 2018!
I have had my pool water tested EVERY DAY! and still cannot keep it within their levels stated in thier handbook! The Warranty is geared to Fail from Day one!
Looking for other people in the same position.
The pool looks ok if filled ,(apart from the wavy lines, the small circles, and the very small air bubbles on the surface.) but when it is hot and water line goes down you can see what looks like a "bath ring" around the pool. When we emptied the pool to the first step, you can see it is not just around the top but all of the pool. I have tried so hard to ask if my pool is safe to swim in, but WA Fibreglass Pools will not say. Despite knowing that one of our members of our family displays unwell symptoms when swimming in our pool.
They will not tell us if it meets Australian Standards. They will not tell us where we can find the manufacture Date that is supposed to be displayed on our pool. They will not tell us what the Gelcoat is made up of, what levels of Chemicals it can handle or indeed failed to tell us when we bought the pool that that the Blue Sparkle gelcoat that we choose has "Cobalt blue " in the pigment. We are extremely disappointed that we spent a LOT of money on this big purchase, WA Fibreglass Pools were extremely lovely and nice when selling us the pool, but as soon as we had paid and had a problem they have “washed their hands of it” . Hopefully in reading this public review, they will finally answer our questions and we will get our written report that we have asking for the last 8 months!
Moving forward, if still buying a pool here are a few of our suggestions for new time pool owners: Anyone buying a new pool, I would suggest that they do a quick Acetone test before they even fill their Fibreglass pool. – Get a white rag and soak with Acetone and wipe the surface, if it comes off with a colour, then maybe start asking questions! Make sure that you keep all of your Warranty details, Make sure that a pool test is done as soon as the pool is filled and record/take a photo of this test. Ask for a pool shop that they Recommend and make sure that you write this down. And ask for them politely to contact the pool shop and let the pool shop of what levels that your pool needs to be kept at. (please bear in mind that your pool heater, your pool Chlorinator, and others items that you purchase with your pool may have different levels that they may want you to keep your pool at). These are all suggestions above.
