WallBeds Australia

Excellent product great efficient customer service – So I have a spare bedroom in my apartment but I really wanted to free up the space. It had a double bed in it, but it was taking up about 2/3 of the room. Did some research online about Wallbeds. They fold up into the wall when not in use freeing up space. There's a couple of companies that do them in Australia, prices do vary quite a lot for a very similar product. It seems this variation really comes down to Wallbeds flatpacking their beds and using that design rather than doing a "measure and build", to suit you, which works out to be a lot more expensive.
WallbedsAustralia have a pretty good website that allows you to choose cabinets to go either side and how you want the shelving arrangements in them which I really liked.
I wanted black but was quite fussy so asked them to email me a photo of the black finish and they promptly took a photo of one of them in their showroom up close and emailed it to me and that got my sale. Great of them to do that because quite often what's on some websites isn't a good representation of what you end up with and once you've paid and it's sent for manufacturing there's no going back.
I paid extra to get their mattress in a box that comes with it, and can confirm it's extremely comfortable. It's firm but comfortable. I like a mattress to be reasonably firm because otherwise I end up with a sore back.
The wallbed has freed up a whole lot of space and I can confirm the quality of the workmanship was A+. It takes several weeks before production starts on manufacturing the pieces, so it seems they keep costs low by not having to keep large amounts of pre-cut stock as there are so many variable options for people to choose that it's likely easier to just make each order as they came.
It comes delivered in a wooden box that's screwed tight with lots of screws, but lucky for me I have a Ryobi screwdriver so it made short work of getting that open, but I'd hate to have to unscrew that many screws by hand.
I had it installed by spacewisewallbeds.com.au which is one of their recommended installers, and he was brilliant, and I'll do a review on him as well. I would strongly recommend you get a professional to install the bed as there would be no way I'd be able to do it on my own. Ikea it is not. Took him about 3 1/2 hours to install it.
