Was a great chair but office works warranty is a problem when it fails – Purchased the chair three years ago from Office Works click and collect because of COVID. Gas strut has died so contacted Office Works re warranty procedure and was told by the manager to bring the chair back with paperwork and the chair would be replaced as eight year warranty. Being in my seventies that was a challenge (very heavy) and anyway got it there to be told by the manager, you purchased it Click and Collect and our computer system wont allow us to process the warranty claim. Cannot leave it here no room to store it, So you need to take it back home. We will get back to you if we can sort it out here. Here is a 1300 number if you don't hear back from someone in a few weeks. Sorry we wont be able to help you any further here with this.

Say hi to slow growing pain wrapped in pleather – This chair is evil, but it could have been okay. There are two major issues I have with this chair. 1. The distance from the back rest to the front edge. I'm 181cm (5'11") and I have to press my legs right up against the front of the chair to be able to have my back on the rest. I don't mean comfortably. My knees are right up against it. 2 (NOW THE REAL PAIN). The cushion in the picture has 4 parts. Two side and two middle. The sides and front middle are soft and nice and smooth. The back centre (where most people put their butt) is hard. It has a super strong springy bit that lifts you up. This might sound great, except it means part of your tush is up and the other part isn't. It's almost like sitting on a bicycle seat all day. Now at first you don't notice it. Then you'll feel a small bit of numbing in your leg. You move and feelings come back. After a week or so you'll be hobbling to and from your desk. Forget going to the mail or walking the dog. Getting a cup of coffee from the kitchen will kill you. I didn't put it together at first. I switched to a flat kitchen chair and a few days later there was no pain. So I figured I'd give it another go. 2 hours is all it took this time.
If you buy this chair, ensure it's a gift for that one person in your life you would happily push down a flight of stairs. If you get this chair as a gift.. well I'll let you do the math.
EDIT: I took the seat apart (removed the staples from the back) and pulled out the springs. The chair is now something I can sit in. I still need to go to Bunnings to get some foam and staples, but at least it's not torture.

Lasted less than a year – I really looked after this chair and no one else sat on it except me but within 6 months the leather was peeling on the arm rests (which I never used). Then the gas lift lever went limp and just stopped working, so I had to sit really low. Then when I was sitting perfectly still one day one of the wheels just fell apart and knocked me off the chair!! All this within 1 year!! It's a total theft charging that much money for it, when it's worth about $20. I bet that's about what they paid for it.

Don't believe the warranty on Officework's chairs... they don't last! – Honestly, my last chair from Officeworks cost $200 and the synthetic leather fell apart after 4 years! I used the $200 credit from that chair (after Officeworks made me search the attic for the receipt which they had trouble reading - as it had FADED badly) to buy one of these. I thought, top-of-the-range so it must be good.. yes? NO! After only 2 years the stitching is coming apart.
Went to SO SO much trouble buying this too! They didn't have it in store (nor any of the stores near me in Melbourne), tried to order it online BUT they didn't accept the OFFICEWORKS credit voucher! Had to get it delivered to the local store and pay for it over-the-counter. NEVER AGAIN!

Comfortable – I had to replace my Computer Chair which I had for three years as it was literally falling to bits. You can see my review on that one elsewhere, very expensive and very poor quality. It was with much trepidation that I began to hunt for a new chair, ruling out all the gaming chairs from the start as they all look like they come from the same place and as such would all suffer the same problems as my expensive piece of junk. I also ruled out paying a high price anything over $300.00 was out of the question and I was certainly not going to pay another $427.00
I also rules out the cheap massage chairs as I knew at the price they would not last. In the end, I got this one. It has an 8-year warranty so that was more than good.
It has 3 adjustment levers which was also good, as I needed to make myself as comfortable as possible. Also the armrests were height adjustable
They said it would take 30 minutes to put together. It took me 10 minutes and 10 screws and it was done.
The chair itself is quite heavy which tells me they haven't skimped on materials .
I tested it for forward tip as this was a very dangerous problem I had with my last chair. I tried a number of situations but could not get it to tip or skate from underneath me.
All the adjustments worked well although I would have liked more adjustment on the chair tilt function.
The levers may be in a position that does not suit everyone as you have to reach for them but it is something you won't be doing every day so that was a minor annoyance.
Another point is that the vinyl fabric or faux leather as they call it will get a little tacky/sweaty on your legs if you are wearing shorts.
The cushioning also has spring support along with the usual foam . I found the chair, after 3 to 4 hours very comfortable and it had excellent back support although you may have noticed in the photos I used a lumbar support from my old chair, however without it I still got very good side support to my back .
I also used padded covers on the armrests, but that's just me .
I also noted it mentioned a tension adjuster at the front of the seat but it seems to me it is locked and does not work. Whether this is by design or is a fault I don't know, but to move it in either direction seemed impossible to me . I will refer this back to Office Works and see if I can get an answer on this or maybe go to the manufacturer's website and see what they say.
Apart from a few minor things this is a very good chair ,so lets see if it holds up for the long run , but I am re assured by that long warranty .
So, here we are a month or two later and the gas lift has failed . I will be contacting Office Works for a replacement but at the moment their contact has failed twice to contact me .What to do ?This thing won't fit in the car . Do I disassemble it ? Will they just take back the gas lift ? Anyway looks like I will have to phone them as no one is at home answering emails.
I eventually got a new gas lift from Office Works they fitted it and then a few weeks later it failed again. I ended up paying for a heavy duty lift from Amazon. The gas lift supplied in the chair must either be poor quality or have a low KG rating ., either way be aware that this is a problem you may well face.
One star downgrade

Well I rang the 1300 number and the person on the other end was very good. She couldn't understand why the local shop didn't sort out my problem. Any way a few days later a whole new base arrived for my chair and its great. I didn't realize how bad the old chair was. The levers and gas strut are way better than the old one ever was. Like a new chair again. Thanks again Office works warranty team. Worth five stars to them
