Love my Weber Pulse 2000 – I have had my Pulse 2000 for about 5 years and still love it. I am just wondering what is the maximum size pizza steel that I can use without having a negative impact on my grill? Show details

Love Weber but not this Weber – Weber fan. But electric bbq needs some work. Unfortunately experienced the same issue of regular grease fires despite ensuring fully clean. Works well if you use a flat tray as no grease can trip but not good if wanting to use bbq griddle. Show details

It's just an oven, not a BBQ – This is my 4th Weber, one gas and two charcoal. I've had this unit for about 3 years and I'm finally fed up. I've tried every way to be happy with this thing. No good. It's simply terrible in all ways. This one (2000 series) has 2 electric elements, one of which seems to be inconsistent in its participation, both (when working) heat the chamber up… Read more

to 255c flat out, fair dues for cooking a roast or large cut, but doesn't mean you can chuck a couple of T-Bones on and watch them sizzle or do a bunch of sausages on an impromptu Sat arvo. It doesn't meet the Australian BBQ expectations. I'm finished with mine, I basically paid $1000 for a small outdoor oven - I have a better oven inside. Weber is a good company, this is a poor product. They should stick to what they do well. I won't be buying another Weber as a result, plenty of good gas/charcoal grills out there, and I've been burnt once!

Worked well but very limited lifespan for electric element – This bbq cooked very well when the elements were both working. We have not had it even 12 months. One element has completely burnt out and the other now no longers registers the set temperature it appears to just be set on high. We have used it a lot but I thought it would last longer than this. It has become too dangerous to use now. Good Guys would not offer an extended warranty on this product, now I know why. Show details

Best electric bbq and best after sales service ever!!! – Just like to express my extreme satisfaction with the WEBER PULSE 2000 ELECTRIC BBQ as it’s the best bbq I’ve used and owned. I’ve had it for over 3 years now and have never had a problem with it until about a week or so ago. I’m guessing things go wrong with products and I understand that however when I called the WEBER customer service hotline,… Read more

I was treated extremely well and assisted professionally with my concerns. I wasn’t even sure if the bbq I had was even under warranty and wasn’t even asked for a copy of a receipt, merely the serial number. The customer service officer troubleshooted the problem and sent out a new controller which I received for free and the following day which I was extremely grateful for however the problem persisted so they sent me out a new element again without charge and the following day which fixed the problem and made me a happy man. I asked Weber if they would like me to send back the controller which I believe wasn’t the problem but they haven’t responded to that yet so I assume I can keep it perhaps as a spare. I’ve never experienced service like that anywhere in my life and I’m 47. I will buy from Weber again and will be telling all my friends and family to do the same. Thanks Weber for your service and great product.

Great convenient BBQ with consistent results – I have cooked everything from sausages, chicken breasts, steaks (bone in and boneless) and roast legs of lamb. I use the igrill app or a siri timer and its fantastic. It is no more difficult to clean than any other BBQ and I have lined the bottom bowl with foil to help reduce the cleaning effort. A great patio BBQ that can still be used on total fire bans. The BBQ build quality is better than the trolley build quality. Show details

Very disappointing – Our last bbq was a Weber Q which we had for eleven years and absolutely loved. When we moved to an apartment, the Weber Pulse 2000 was the obvious choice, or so we thought. It certainly cooks quite well, although the inability to use a proper hotplate is a serious disadvantage. I just don’t know how people can say it’s easy to clean. It’s… Read more

impossible! Our laundry sink is not large, so the aluminum bowl inserts will not fit completely. I also don’t want to have to completely dis-assemble the bbq after every use just to clean it! The grease is just stuck fast, and nothing will shift it. It forms a sort of brown varnish and no amount of soaking or scraping, or proprietary BBQ cleaners removes it. Other than on the grill bars, it never carbonizes but either sets solid or drips from the lid. The unit is always dirty, despite us only ever using it to cook salmon fillets, according to the instructions for pre-heating and cooking. Having it professionally cleaned is expensive. We are going to get rid of it after only one season, and get an electric grill to replace it. Extremely disappointed!

3 replacement BBQ's – Bought the first Pulse 2000 almost a month ago and it tripped the RCD when the temperature was increased, 3 replacement BBQ's later and every one of them tripped my RCD, so far I've not been able to use it once! It pulls less than my jacuzzi and electric kettle and electrician confirmed my wiring sound.... very disappointing. Show details

Catches on fire – I purchase this to use on a balcony and purchased on brand, price was not an issue. Only used sparingly due to Melbourne winter. Have had two fires . The first being the entire bowl causing real concerns the second only a flare up. My thoughts that the bowl being shallow at the perimeter when the hot fat hits the lower bowl area which flares… Read more

causes fat to ignite. Difficult to clean as electric element cannot be removed. Am 65 yrs love BBQ cooking. Also has no plate to cook vegetables, eggs etc. Cannot recommend.

Poor QA and Customer service and dodgy reviews – On the day i purchased a new Pulse 2000 from a Weber retailer it failed. As soon as I got it home I prepared it for use. It was already assembled by the retailer so there was little for me to do. I plugged it in and turned it on it worked for about 5 minutes before tripping the RCD. Tried it on another circuit and agin it tripped the RCD. I then… Read more

verified status of circuit using an electric kettle - all OK. Rang the retailer around midday who said they would get Weber to ring me back that day. Weber did not ring so the next day i rang the retailer late morning and they agreed to refund or replace the unit. I put negative review on the Weber Pulse 2000 site at that time critical of quality control and customer service. Weber did call me later that day but I missed the called I phoned them back at 2:50 pm and was told that who ever needed to take the call had gone home!! The unit was replaced and so far has been ok (used it twice thusfar). Weber produce premium products at a premium price and for a BRAND NEW product to fail in less than 5 minutes of operation shows that Weber QA/QC systems, particularly on electrical equipment is poor. Also for Weber to instruct the retailer to refer the customer(me)to Weber is not on. Consumer law requires consumer to deal directly with retailer not with manufacturer. Amazingly the critical review I put on the weber pulse 2000 website disappeared in less than a week. Apparently removed by Weber so only six 5 star reviews remain. Dodgy to say the least.

Best electric bbq – Easy to use and clean. Meat always ends up with great charcoal like bark and flavour. Hard to believe this is an electric bbq really. The use of the digital thermometer will mean you always get bbq meat cooked to your preferred liking. Have consistently dished out bbq meat moist and tender. No dryness or over cooked meats. Having the Weber app… Read more ·  1

also helps as a guild to your cooking. Never have been great at bbq cooking but this has changed all that now. I use this at least once a week without fail. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing – I’ve been bbq for 55 years. I bbq 4-5 times a week. Gas bottles were getting too heavy for me. Bought this and hoped it would be OK. It’s amazing. Show details ·  1

Excellent performance. Great design – Simple to use and great taste!! Easy to clean. I don't have to buy extra trolley as my outdoor table is big and strong enough. I bought hotplate, scrapper, grill basket and pan and brush. all together about $1,000. Show details

Great for an apartment – We went in to buy a new Weber Q, we loved our first one. We left thinking the Pulse could be a good option. So far its been excellent. It gets HOT, cooks like a BBQ should, easy to clean and no need for GAS. Show details

LPG cancer worries no more – We have been concerned about petroleum based gas through our food for some time. No matter what anyone says there must be an element of danger having hydrocarbons through food. This machine is also zero carbon footprint for us as we are completely off grid with solar panels. Here in Southern Tasmania they charge 30 dollars for an 8kg LPG swap… Read more

over gas bottle, so not cheap.

No more gas bottles for us, the unit uses 2kw on full temp for both burners.

We bought the optional hot plate with detachable handle, nothing without a detachable handle can fit if you want to shut the cover.

A feature of this unit is all the parts fit in a standard dishwasher for cleanup...except the hood.

Putting the optional trolley together was tedious and frustrating...instructions were rubbish.

But...do-able in around half an hour...second one would be 10 minutes of course.

Overall? Recommended 10/10 for the 2000 model...the small unit is a waste of time in my opinion.

Get the optional hot plate/frypan...you will be sorry if you don't.

Get the optional cover too.

A very, very, very good solution for those after a healthy outdoor cooking experience.

Perfect if in an apartment.

No total fire ban day issues.

We will NEVER use a gas barbecue again....food tastes cleaner.

Paid $1100 for the bundle of BBQ/stand/Hot plate/cover

Surprisingly good – Early days, but I've cooked dinner on it twice now and it works very well. Even got a few flare-ups, just like a gas barbie. It gets up to temperature very quick and looks attractive. The temperature read-out is very effective. The best part - no gas bottle. The food definitely tastes barbecued. Not as barbecued as charcoal, but the same as… Read more

gas. The cart is pretty good too. Only negative was the price. The 2000 model, plus cart, plus all-weather cover cost $1000, but looks great on our patio. I imagine that if anything stops working, it will be the control panel or elements, which appear easily replaceable, though I don't think they'll ever sell those parts individually, so you'd be relying on Weber or The Good Guys to do the right thing and replace them with minimal fuss.
