attached to all the time. Why can I not just buy the part I want? The black screw on top that the cleanser goes through. It has gone again and Godfrey’s have closed down its shops here in NZ. The new people operating under a new name told me they can’t get parts for it.

Come on, surely I can just get the part I want. Machine is to good to throw out.

was wet for FIVE WHOLE DAYS. I had the heater, ceiling fan, and a pedestal fan running the entire time. I shuffled across it with puppy pads trying to get up excess moisture, but it still took five days.

Not surprisingly, about two weeks later, stains began to reappear on the carpet. There were no new messes being made. It was damp rising up from under the carpet, where mould was growing.

Nothing has been able to remove the mould. My entire living room carpet is mould, and the room smells horrendous. This was two years ago. Being a pensioner, I've been unable to afford to replace the carpet, and I'm physically incapable of ripping it up myself. I've been living with this mould (that I'm allergic to) for two years. Needless to say, I wasn't surprised when Godfrey's went bust, because I assumed I can't be the only person who's been so horrendously duped.

How they're back in business is beyond me.

It does what it is designed to do – Bought week ago. I have used it in 3 rooms already, Vacuum carpets first. Remember to hold the trigger on the forward stroke and release on the backward stroke. It does what it is designed to do and does it well, Very happy. $199 from Godfreys Show details ·  1

wouldn't help as it was a Xmas present and because I personally didnt buy it they couldnt care…so never buy anyone a present from godfreys, i will NEVER buy anything from them ever again …the bissel is a million times better…

This is the best answer they could with when I sent them a Private complaint – I found it is not much chop on carpet it brings the dirt up from down in the carpet but all it does is smear the dirt over the rest of the carpet and then you have to clean the whole carpet in another way. already and it will cost more to by a new battery pack than it cost new. So I though I might use the carpet cleaner in its place. This is the best answer they could with when I sent them a Private complaint. ( Hi Kingsley, This machine is a Carpet Cleaner only, it is not designed to be used on hardfloor surfaces. Please keep in mind, when using the machine, to hold the trigger down when pushing forward and let go when pulling back. The slower you go the better the clean and water pick up. If the carpet it does have harder stains or deeper inground dirt the area may require more than 1 go over the remove these. Please also ensure the carpets is vacuumed thoroughly to ensure as much dry dirty is picked as possible, as dry dirt does turn to mud when water is added. Regards, The Wertheim Team)

Sick of re glueing the pick up section – Works great but poorly made. Front is only glued on and comes off. It’s terrible and I would like to return it please – I got this a few days ago as there was a delay from Melbourne, not godfreys fault, but the machine only sucked 1/4 of the 2 litres out of the carpet now I have soggy carpets and have to let them air dry, before you asked yes I had the trigger released so it wasn’t spraying water and I went over the same spots 10 - 20 times so now I just want a refund please. Show details

Pretty good – I found this to be effective in cleaning carpet. It does run out of water quickly as only holds 2 litres but it’s easy to manoeuvre around and overall happy with the purchase. Show details ·  1

Works Well – Amazing how much dirt comes out of carpets and rugs! Although the carpets are a bit damp, this is expected from a shampoo solution. On a dry day they dry out relatively quickly. a bit fiddly to fill and add the detergent. Considering the price it is a winner for small jobs. I would not want to vacuum a large house with a lot of carpets though.

It is what it is – I go it for $150 from Godfrey's and have flogged it for the last 18months. Motor winding has now burned out so it's finished. It's OK for spot cleaning but not up to cleaning a room. Extraction is poor but it does clean stains pretty well. If you can get it for half price and use it as a spot cleaner only it's worth the money, if you pay full price and want to clean your whole house, forget it. It was what it was. useless machine waste of money! – The machine is easy to use but doesn't suck up water properly. Used 4 ltr of water but only sucked about 1 ltr?? The roller brush hardly turns at all the belt is in excellent condition. The water doesn't seem to cover the area properly even when it is done slowly. Only used this machine 4 times on rugs. Don't buy – I purchased a Wertheim SE2000. I rarely used it. However, when I did, there always seemed to be a problem. The main one is water pickup. I have tried everything to fix the problem. have a look it. I have to drive 11 kms to get to the store. They will charge me to look at it. Then they will charge me to fix it. No suggestion that if it is poor manufacturing, they will fix it free of charge as they should. I purchased the appliance on the recommendation of the sales rep. I am a repeat customer. Not happy.

Works exactly as it should – Purchased this yesterday day and have cleaned 2 rugs so far and one room of carpet. A simple machine that is easy to use. Our puppy had weed on one rug and it had been there for awhile unnoticed so that one has taken a couple of cleans but seems ok now and the other rug looked clean but I have just emptied 2 canisters of dirty water from it! If you go over the area a few times after washing,you can get it fairly dry too which is great. It has a decent cord length and a nice thick cord. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and at a reasonable price.

Great Value for money – Purchased whilst on sale for $149 from Godfreys. The clean water tank holds 2L but being green colour, it's difficult to see the amount left in clean tank. clean large master bedroom. Machine is light and easy to maneuver. Edge suction cleaning on right side of machine (other side is an inch from edge). Clean tank is filled from bottom, so some excess spillage (1Tablespoon ) once turned up to fit in machine. Also once machine is switched off, any excess water leeches out the bottom of machine (1-2Tablespoons). It's not much but enough to make a mess, so flip tank at the sink after filling, and i have a half towel for resting machine on when I turn off. I think for dollar value, the Wertheim SE2000 is a good solid machine.

Doesn't suck up water well – Purchased this product earlier today. Easy to follow instructions. The only things is that it doesn't suck water up that well. Filled up twice but the waste water compartment only had not even a quarter. Hope it doesn't rot the floorboards. Show details

Better than expected – With 2 toddlers that spill everything on the carpets on a hourly basis we had got to the point that it was time to replace them - we couldn’t decide with what so bought this cheap carpet cleaner. an easy way of cleaning the nozzle that sucks up the water. A hose pipe seemed to work but I feel there must be a better way.

Pleasantly surprised – Tried the shampooer out today for first time. I thought it was great, easy to use ... And I couldn't find my instructions. Brought two large rugs up beautifully. Seen a lot of negative reviews but I couldn't fault it.

Carpet shampooer great for carpets with people who own multi dogs – It cost me $100 to get a professional carpet cleaner in to clean my carpet. So I paid for this Werthelm carpet cleaner on special for $100. It did the same job just as well and I can do my carpet more often. Doesn't over wet carpet and I have used it a few months now. Looks all plastic and cheap yet does a great job. Very happy with it especially when I have an old dog who keeps having accidents.

Clean your carpet! – We bought this carpet cleaner to clean up after our pet dog and baby. For the price it works very well and we really cant complain. Its simple to use and does an equivalent job of a hired machine. No real negatives. It is quite plasticy but is still durable :)

Awsome cheap machine – First use I was impressed it's great to use as a quick freshen up of carpets definitely worth the money spent ived borrowed a carpet shampooer of friend which cost them over $700 to buy and the SE2000 that I played $140 for works way better

Could do better – Found it easy to use, doesn't suck up the water that well. Left alot in the carpet. Get what you pay for I guess.
